I wake up with a crook in my neck from sleeping on the couch and Fluffy is licking my face.  Giving her a big hug, I get up and go to the bathroom.  Returning to the living room, I hear my phone ringing.  I search everywhere for it, but when I sit down on the couch I feel it underneath me.  I look at the screen and it's flashing Samantha's profile.  Answering, I wait a second and then say something.  "What's up?"Silence on the other end, then I hear a crunching sound.  A few more seconds pass by with more crunching and then she finally says something.  "Sorry, was eating."  I roll my eyes, "No, really?""So.  Did you see our pics all over the internet?"  "What do you mean?"I hear her drinking something, "Well, check out The High Life website.  We are on their front page, I shit you not.""Hold on, let me look it up on my phone."  I get onto the search

I have the sweetest dream I can ever remember dreaming.  Waking up, I recall all of it crystal clear.  It's strange, because I don't think I have ever had a dream that seemed so real.  Just before I woke up, it ended.  This is what I remember. Laying in bed, I turn over and a man is next to me.  He sleeps soundly, so he doesn't hear me move towards him to kiss him and tell him that I love him.  Feeling the warmth of his lips and smelling his scent all over, I am strangely comforted.  It feels as if I know him very intimately and he belongs in my bed.  I move again and he opens his eyes.   I recognize those eyes.  Gorgeous blue eyes that say I need you now.  His face is masculine, yet soft and so kissable that I can't help myself.  Running my fingers through his blonde hair, I feel the need to never leave his side.  To be his forever.   He says to me, "You're mine Lauryn.  You

The sun comes up and shines through my window, forcing me to roll over and wake up.  It's 6 a.m. and I technically don't have to be awake and out the door till 8, so I try to go back to sleep.  Tossing and turning, I find that there is an annoying mosquito buzzing my head and I can't no matter what I do.  Getting up, I take a nice long shower and then blow dry my hair.  I look in the mirror and think to myself, I wonder what they will be having me do today?  Surely, I will have to learn the ropes and figure out what their expectations are.  For the remainder of the morning, I get dressed and eat breakfast. I discover the long commute is a killer, when my legs cramp up just outside the city limits.  Why did the job have to be so far away from home?  I ask myself and when I reach my destination, drive up the parking ramp to the garage. There are so many cars here and not very many spaces, so I end up h

Getting dressed after my shower, I look through the fridge and find a lonely strawberry yogurt.  Taking it, I sit down at the table and read the newspaper.  As I sift through the news articles, I find one particularly interesting.  It seems that the CEO has gotten himself in a bit of trouble with the law. I look at the date on the newspaper and realize that it's several days old, finding myself wondering what happened.  "Interesting."  I say out loud and check my watch. After cleaning up the table, I return to the bathroom and brush my teeth.  Once I wipe my face, I apply makeup and braid my hair.  Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I feel pleased.  The dark red lipstick brings out my eyes and pulls my outfit together. Modelng in front of the full length mirror, I admire my taste.  I decided on wearing a royal blue pant suit today and dark red shoes to match my lipstick.  Twirling arou

Waking up Wednesday morning before the alarm goes off, I take a little longer in the shower and getting dressed than I usually do.  First, the shower is especially warm and inviting.  I even use my pumpkin spice shower gel that I love so much.  Then, when I get out, I go through my new wardrobe that Shannon bought me on my birthday and try on several things. One thing in particular stands out and makes me feel good about myself.  A very tasteful looking red dress, with just a small slit that goes up to my thigh.  The neckline isn't low at all, but the dress hugs my curves in all the right ways.  Anyone who looks at me, might think I am a top executive in this dress.Making this my choice for the day, I choose a pair of black leather high heels to complete the ensemble.  Fluffy comes running in and watches me model for the mirror, wagging her tail.  "Oh, do you approve Fluffy?"She barks and tries to jump on me.
