Catori watched the throng of students leaving the school. It was closing time and she was waiting for Erica and Kelvin. This had become a habit for three of them. On days that they were allowed to stay until school closed for the day, she came to more or less, pick them up so that the three of them could walk back to the fashion agency together. They are taking longer than usual today, her wolf said. Yeah. I wonder what's keeping them so long, she replied. She would have gone in to find those two herself but since she found out that Cassie also schooled there, Catori had made the decision to stay as far away from her as possible. "I'll kill those two for keeping me here for a longer time than I expected," she muttered to herself. Her phone rang. She picked the call without looking at the caller ID. It would have still made no sense to do that as the brightness of the sun was too much.

Liam and Kurt paced around in the abandoned building. "She still is not picking up," Kurt said. "Keep calling her then. This is unnecessary, for real," Liam replied. Alaric soon joined them. "You know, having you guys move around like this is just giving me a headache," he said as he facepalmed. "Cassarina's note is not encouraging," Liam said with a tense jaw. "Like, what the hell is this? Of all the people to betray us, it was your sister, Kurt?!" "Why are you now acting as if I am the one who deserted?" Kurt asked with annoyance. "All of you, shut up," Mrs Berwoulf said sternly. "No one is to blame for whatever that went wrong except this girl herself. Do your best to fix it but please stop shouting. We have no place to go if the police finds us here." Alaric heaved a sigh. "My mom is right. We have to keep it down, since we actually have no place to go fo

Catori pushed him off her. "What the hell was that supposed to mean?!" she yelled, panting. "That was to show you how much I lo…" "Don't you dare try to complete that statement," she warned, cutting him off. She hit his chest in annoyance and stormed out. Luckily for him, Kelvin did not follow her. "Hey Tori. What happened? Why do you look so angry?" Erica asked her when they met up at the entrance. "I can't talk right now but you need to talk to that friend of yours," Catori said to her. She clenched her fists tightly. Erica watched her storm away from her. Kelvin walked out of the library building calmly. "Kelvin, what happened back there?" Erica asked him as soon as he came into sight. He did not say a word to her. "Kelvin, I asked you a question." He just continued to walk. Having no choice, she fell in step with him. Her mind raced, wondering what

"Wake up!" Catori yelled, hitting him hard with a pillow. Fenris still did not stir. She hit him again, squarely in the face this time. He was still trying to be a hard guy. "Wake up!" she screamed in his ear. He almost fell off the bed. "Catori, what was that for?" he asked in a tired voice. "I have been trying to wake up for minutes now," she said and let herself fall on his back. "What the hell?" "Don't forget that today is your day off," she said in a sing-song voice. "Alright? So what do they do on days o…" The rest of the statement was interrupted by soft snores. Catori bounced on his back. "Wakey wakey," she said and laughed when he grunted. "Fenris, get up!" "Hmm? I'm up, I'm up," he said. He finally noticed the weight on his back. "What the hell? If you keep sitting there, I might as well stay on the floor," he said.

Zayna smirked when she came back and met Fenris and Catori in the position they were in. "Hey lovebirds," she said in a sing-along voice. "How are you enjoying your time together?" "Just shut up already," Fenris said, still not able to face her. She clutched her heart area dramatically. "Oh my goodness, dear brother Fenris. How could you say such to me?" she said. He ignored her. Meanwhile, Catori was laughing at the pair of them. "Anyway, should we get going or do you want to win her more teddy bears?" Zayna asked with a smirk. "What did I ever do to you?" he groaned. You finally admitted that you have feelings for our mate, that's what, his wolf said. Fenris ignored him and looked around, anywhere but at the two girls he came with. "We might as well leave though. We have a busy day tomorrow," he suggested. Catori nodded in agreement. "A

Catori got to the agency building as fast as possible the next morning. There were grave expressions on the faces of all the workers. She took the elevator to Ms Mabel's office. She assumed that everyone else was in there. True to her assumption, Alex, Kelvin and Erica were standing in the old woman's office when she got there. Everyone froze when Catori came in. Ms Mabel wiped her tears with a handkerchief. She caught sight of Catori when she came in. A white mug flew Catori's way. The redhead dodged it. "Why are you here?" Ms Mabel asked her. Catori looked confused. "I came to see you and know exactly what happened," she said. "What exactly happened? Wouldn't you know that yourself?" the woman said. "No ma'am. I wasn't in when Mr Dalton came to find me. I presume he must have told you before leaving this place," Catori replied. Ms Mabel laughed sarcastically. "So you do not kno

Zayna continued to snap her fingers in Catori's face, saying. "Wake up, Catori." The redhead jerked up from her sleep. "What the hell…?" she started as she took a look around her. "It was all a dream?" "Well, obviously. You were asleep for such a long time and you kept turning around in your chair like someone was after you," Zayna said. She sounded more annoyed than worried. "Oh. Sorry," Catori said as she bent her head in shame. "I can't believe that I was terrified because of a mere dream." Zayna took her seat beside Fenris. "What did you dream about?" Fenris asked her with interest. "Nothing…it was nothing," Catori said slowly. Fenris stared at her for some time, not ready to buy the idea but he decided not to push her into talking. "Are we ready now?" Zayna asked them. "Ready for what?" Catori asked her.

The redhead jerked up from what she felt was a vision. When she looked around, she realised that they were still in the basketball court. Her hand touched the part of her chest where her heart was located. "Oh, I thought you didn't want to watch the players practise," Erica said when she saw that Catori was alert again. "What are you talking about?" Catori asked her. Erica shrugged. "You closed your eyes for a moment. I thought you were so pissed that you decided not to watch them practice," she said. Catori was confused. "I thought I slept off," she said curiously. Erica shook her head. "Nope, you didn't. Actually, you just closed your eyes for some moments," she explained. Catori, not ready to explain anything to the girl, just nodded at her statement as if she knew what happened. Why does all of this feel so strange? asked Catori's wolf. 'I don't kn

Don't do it, Catori. Control the urge. Don't let these feelings get the better of you. You are stronger than that. Are you hearing me? These were the words Catori's wolf said to her. Catori did her very best to heed her wolf's advice. The cold liquid seeped into her cotton gown. Catori kept resisting the urge to tear that lady from limb to limb. She felt her teeth elongate. Without bothering to look at the face of her annoyance, she silently turned away from Max and left the makeup studio. Kelvin almost bumped into her as she left the artists' studio. "Catori?" Kelvin called after her but she increased her pace, looking for a bathroom or just any tangible place to hide. She diverted into the team room which was close by. Her fur was growing out. "This is a problem," she said out loud. Footsteps could be heard coming in the direction of that room. Panicking, Catori checked the keyhole but there was no key in it. She hastily began to push one

Valentino was stunned. "For real?" he asked the older man.         "Yes, for real. She knew that there was no reason to do that but she felt a duty to him as her former mate. Do you see what I'm getting at? There are certain kinds of connections that make people do stupid things," Arthur said. "That is why I don't really blame your girlfriend."         Valentino was silent after what he just heard. "I see what you mean. Thanks…for sharing this with me," he said and stood up. The two of them began their journey back to the inn where they were staying. As Valentino watched the children play, he remembered her…   ~~~   Liam jumped up from his seat when he saw the pigeon. "Strange that she communicates through these birds," he said as the brown bird perched on his index finger.
