CHAPTER 20— HIS PLAN
★†★    He wouldn't punish her anymore?   That was a blatant lie, one slip up and he'd tie her in the damn dungeons.    Did he think her a fool?   Well she practically was a fool, but she wasn't stupid enough to listen to his gibberish and really believe it.   Sighing, she flung the sheets aside and despite her nakedness, she shuffled out of bed, knowing well enough that only her pair of eyes resided in the room. That trickster, Zheme left just minutes ago to cook, pretending to be the gentleman he definitely wasn't.   That man was nothing close to gentle, he was a psycho who got off on his ability to control other people, and now he wanted her to act like she usually do?   It was tempting, but she was sure he had a hidden agenda and Lexie would find it.   Huffing with a begrudging scowl on her lips, she grab

CHAPTER 21— WHO'S THE FOOL?
†★   With gritted teeth, Zheme forced down his rude comment and instead smiled weirdly. "A housewife you say? I'm merely practicing to be your husband."   "Have I ever agreed to be your wife?"   'Slam her head into the table.' That ran across his mind.   'Slap her senseless.' That ran across his mind too, but with self control in his grasp, he refrained and instead calmly replied. "Agreed or not, you will be."   Lexie smirked at that, her pride feeling as if it was on top of the world. "I will not marry you, forced or not."   "You will."   "I won't."   "You will."   "I said I won't!"   Did she just yell at him?   Did she jus...?   Zheme was close to grabbing her by the hair and hauling her to the dungeons.   Who wa

CHAPTER 22— MINE
Steady and confident steps were what Zheme took up the stairs, hands in his pockets and a lopsided smirk laying mischievously at the left corner of his lips.   Its been a whole of thirty minutes since Lexie entered the bathroom and like she promised, she didn't return.   That girl was testing him, playing with his control as if it was a marble and challenging him as if they were in a damn fighting ring. If he could just maliciously slap her, then god knows he would, but a promise is a promise and he'd make sure to keep his til the end.   Reaching the door to his bedroom, he twisted the knob and with ease pulled it open.   His eyes darted around the room, finding not a single trace of Lexie and his nose not a stench of her scent. But his ears collected the sound of running water from the direction of the bathroom which told him that she was still in there.   Zheme walked over to t

CHAPTER 23— THE SAME
†★ Almost breathless, Lexie stood against the wall, her pride aching, heart palpitating and her nether region convulsing.   She was aroused, his words, although they landed a heavy blow on her pride, ignited a fire within the pit of her stomach.   'Your mind, your body is mine.'   The possessiveness in them had encouraged her fool heart to flip twice and her stupid, stupid vagina to react in a way she did not expect it to.   It did double and triple jumps, driving her into a world of relentless hunger and anguish.   If she could've just controlled that raging thing between her legs then she wouldn't be in a situation such as this, but she hadn't the strength to.   She wanted the release that came along with his sinful touch.   She wanted the pleasure, the passion that came along with his caresses.   In this ve

CHAPTER 24— CONFUSION
†★   Zheme leaned back, a hand leaving the wall to brush loose strands of hair behind her ears. "That you're mine. You said you'd say it when you got to know me, wouldn't you say you know me enough now?"   The words that left his lips were not words Lexie expected, and not knowing what to say... "I-I... I don't know." She stuttered out, her mind laying in the bed of her arousal, making it hard for her to so much as think.   Zheme's hand twitched against the wall, a frown drawn handsomely across his face as he tried to remain in control. "It's been almost a week Lexie, you must've found out enough about me and if not, then let me at least tell you this, 'I'm a very mean person who doesn't like disrespect.'"   Lexie's heart started to beat in an irregular way, her mind trying but failing to hold tight to its decreasing rationality. "I-I already know that."   "Then what else do you

CHAPTER 25— BUSINESS PLAN
Zheme walked down the stairs with his computer in hand and work on his mind.    His introduction of being the new CEO of the LR company had been delayed because of the incident with Lexie. But now, his wound was coming along fine and at the company, his presence was needed.   His father had called personally to tell him that, and also to ask if he had succeeded in creating a business plan.   Zheme didn't just have 'a' business plan, he had three, all three dependent on AI technology.   Fingerprint recognition.   Language processing.   And face recognition    All in one single car.   Imagine that, a car that could act the exact same way a phone does. It can answer your questions just as accurate as Siri, open by just the touch of your fingerprint and instead of directing its owner with just a complicated map,

CHAPTER 26— DEAL ..?
★†★   Incompetent...   Stupid...   That's how Zheme should've felt, but instead, an emotion, one close to elation, ran with a newfound elevation through his veins.   After all, he was sitting next to his fiancé who was not pretty and dumb, but instead beautiful and smart. She had brought forth an idea that had never stepped foot on his mind, an idea that actually made sense.   If he were to put the fingerprint recognition on the car handle, then the use of a remote starter would not be necessary, but then if he did that and the fingerprint sensor malfunctioned, how would the car be accessed?   Surely not by breaking the god damn window glass, but perhaps, he could put a keypad somewhere on the car for backup access.   Ye, that'd work.   Pulling the computer closer, he started to type in his newfound conception and Lex

CHAPTER 27— CARE...?
After an hour or so, Lexie was done with the job she was assigned and Zheme, the same man she now found annoying, sat beside her the whole time, telling her to use black instead of brown and white instead of orange.   She could've barely focused, but after a while, she learnt the art of ignoring and she utilized it well against him. She blocked out his voice or rather him in particular and only now did she acquiesce to acknowledge his presence.   He was still seated beside her, chin resting delicately in his palm as he looked at the screen. "Is it done?"   Lexie rolled her eyes, reclining in her seat. " Doesn't it look like it's done?"   Zheme shrugged. "It does, but why brown instead of black?"   "If you want it black, do it yourself, but answer this question first... 'Have you ever seen anyone sticking to black and white when doing a presentation?'"   Zheme

CHAPTER 28—FLUTTER
★†★   Lexie was struggling to so much as turn on the damn stove and when she finally did, the look on her face told Zheme that she didn't know what else should be done.   He felt the need to smirk, laugh even, but instead, he eased out of his seat and like a predator, stalked towards her.   In front of the stove and just an inch away from her, he stopped, eyebrows knitted in confusion as Lexie filled the pot with water, dropping it with resentment on the stove. "Mom always made this thing, if she can, then I can too." She miserably grumbled, yet determination was as hard as a rock in her voice.   Beside her, Zheme shook his head, turning down the stove. "At the rate at which you're going, you can't."   "I-I can."   "You can't Lexie, you seem like someone who has the potential to burn down my house, so therefore, I'll help."   Lexie wanted

CHAPTER 29— MINE
Zheme placed the empty dishes into the sink before turning to face Lexie. It was now dark outside, the breeze cold against his skin, lifting every tiny hair that protruded from his pores.   He was sleepy, eyes droopy after having to deal with Lexie's attitude, his presentation and cooking, yet it seems, Lexie was as lively as a kid who just ate sweets.   She was glaring daggers at him, her eyes seeming like a threat that could slice him into nothing, but he wasn't scared, instead, a smirk twitched at the left corner of his lips and a sudden vigour ran along the strings of his heart. "Why are you glaring at me?"   Lexie shrugged, eyes narrowing even more. "Don't I always?"   "Yes, but not with such intensity."   "Well today, I happen to hate you more."   Hate...   That one word took away his vigour and replaced it with a lugubrious feeling
