Her family knew about it,her father was the most happy soul,he didn't believe it. Her family always thought that she always went to town just because she had a boyfriend or she wanted to hang out with friends.   Truth is she was getting bored,staying home was more like staying in prison,besides the endless chores,it emotionally drained her. It was always a thought or a memory that came in her mind,followed by pain that ended in tears that flew down like a fountain.   As it was an extended family that was complicated in a complicated way,not everyone was happy for her. Fake smile never costs anybody, that's exactly what Candice received after telling them the good news, but she was expecting it at least. She was just used to it. So she decided to ignore it and focus on what was useful.   

Candice really liked the guy,Wisdom,she fancied the face,smile,dimples,complexion and the body on it's own,but she loved the personality mostly,although she didn't know much about him.  She was always the serious type,when she loved,she loved for real,she always failed to fake feelings for a guy,if she didn't feel you then that was it.  As Wisdom offered her a lift to take her home,they discovered it was drizzling outside,so he quickly opened the car door for her before he went in. They got in the car and left,he dropped her at her home,but before he did,they had a little amazing chat.  " Hey,i forgot to ask you,how addicted are you to your phone,i mean to say how often do you look at watsapp"? Just like everyone else, failing was the last thing she ever wanted. Failing would mean, no varsity, no happiness, no joy but misery would be her new middle name because she hated home, she hated doing one and the same thing daily.  The house chores felt like a schedule of everyday and they were. She imagined herself viewing the results and just as she was, she discovered she had more credits than she was expecting, she had passed. Strange enough because she sometimes had terrible results so she didn't know what to believe anymore. But then Candice was the queen of faith, she had it in her, it was natural faith.  As expected, seconds fell into minutes, minutes fell into hours, hours fell into days, days which completed a week, a week that was last for results to be out. At least her IGCSE results were not like the grade 10 resul

It was a night, in his house, whereby he felt like he was missing Candice and they  had allowed 4 days to pass by, not allowing themselves to at least spend time together like they used to, the results had set them apart.   The results didn't make him happy too, yes they weren't that bad but they were not great too. The fact that they didn't thrill him made it obvious that they also didn't thrill Candice.  " Let me take my phone and text her, check if she can come out of the house to here just for an hour or so. "   He decided to text her yet it was late, not very late on his side but it was late. The situation wasn't good for her go out of the house, but since she was a smart girl, one with all possibilities, she made a plan like she always did, like she always had.  

Candice quickly got into bed, slept like she had been sleeping all night. No one saw nothing, she got excited by the fact that she won the first game, she played it so very much well, like a certificated girl.  She was expecting a call from Wisdom but he didn't call to check up on her, to check if she had arrived safely just like any guy would have done, just like what every girl would expect from a guy she had spent a night with.  Everything came back into her mind, like a student who just remembered what and how to answer an essay question in an examination room. How the argument began, how it grew, how it developed into something so beautiful that they had on their last night. Candice was the sticky type in relationships, she loved having only one guy, not more than that.
