Chapter 11: Lillian
"Mom, how long are we going to stay at Connie's?  We have to go to school tomorrow."  Jon asks after we get to Connie’s, and we are all sitting in the living room.  Kelly is texting on her phone and Jon is playing Connie's gaming system, while I sit there with Connie and talk about what must be done next.  Hearing my phone ringing, I pick it up and realize that it is from my attorney.  Picking it up, I answer, "Hello. What have you heard?" Sounding disappointed, he says, "When he got out, someone beat him up and dropped him off at the hospital front entrance.  Did you have anything to do with it?" Shocked, I answer sharply, "No, I wouldn't ever.  You know that I didn't have anything to do with this.  I couldn't.  I may disagree with him, but I don't wish him dead." I hear him mutter something to someone in the background and then he says, "Well, I have to go.  They said he is waking up and I should be

Chapter 12: Jordan
I can't believe she is gone.  They take her to the police department and process her.  "Where is mom?"  Kelly and Jon both ask as they look at me confused. Not bearing to see their faces, I stare at the cold wood floor and answer, "It was a mistake, but they took her to the police station.  They think she has had something to do with your dad getting beat up." In shock, they both glance at each other with worried looks and sit down on the couch quietly.  Connie tries to comfort them by making them hot cocoa, while I make a few phone calls.  After talking to my attorney, I arrange for a visit to the police station to talk to her.  Once I arrive, I realize that it was a mistake though, because George after getting out of the hospital, headed straight to the station. "Stop, right there sir.  You are under arrest because you just broke the restraining order rules."  Stepping one foot in, I was arrested on the spot for

Chapter 13: Lillian
"Yes, please."  I whisper as Jordan kneels between my legs and I feel his lips glide across my wet folds, making me quiver with anticipation. It has been three days since we left town and put it all behind us.  I contacted my lawyer and had him set things into motion for me to finally get away from George.  Taking most of the money out of the bank and depositing it into a new account out of George's reach, I stopped him from coming after us with vengeance, at least for the moment.   Jordan grabs ahold of my legs and pulls me closer to him so he can nestle his face in closer and suck up my juices.  Feeling his mouth seal around my nub, he gently sucks and makes a mmm sound against my soaked folds, sending me almost over the edge.  Taking his index finger, he strokes my crease and then slips a finger in.   After hooking the first finger in just the right spot, he slides in a second and slips it in and out.  I wa

Chapter 14: Jordan
"Wow.  You guys have done an excellent job on this one!"  I exclaim when I see how far they have come and what they did with their time while I was gone.   Ted turns around and smiles at me, commenting, "Well we did learn from the best, after all.  So, what made you decide to come back from your honeymoon early?"  He laughs and I watch his face turn serious.  "We were beginning to wonder if you had ditched us for good because of that rich chick." Putting my hands up in the air like I'm surrendering, I say, "Actually, we weren't on our honeymoon, it is complicated." "Oh.  So you took a married woman out of town for a one-two.  That a boy."  All the guys start chuckling and Ted punches me in the arm. "No, more like her husband is abusive and I was hiding her so she could get her attorney to file for divorce."  I say in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. The room grows quiet, and the guys go bac

Chapter 15: Lillian
The phone rings, instantly killing the mood.  I guess it was good that I stopped while I did.  Picking up the phone and seeing the attorneys contact info, I answer it.  Concerned, I ask, "What's wrong now?" Right away Mr. Jefferson answers, "As you guessed, he is fighting the divorce.  Stating the reason why he won't let you have it is that he deserves every cent you have because you are cheating on him.  He claims he has all kinds of evidence of your affair and that there is no way you will ever keep the children and your money." Shocked, I swallow hard, "Do you have any idea what kind of evidence he has?  I mean, he has cheated on me all these years and he is giving me a hard time?"  I ask in disbelief. "No, I don't, but that doesn't mean he doesn't.  Matter of fact, knowing him all too well, I would say he probably hired a private investigator and that's how he keeps finding you too."  He states sarcastically.

Chapter 16: Jordan
"Bang" The door bursts open as a police officer rushes in with his gun raised and then a second one.  "Get on the ground, this is the police."  Lillian glances over at me as I dive to the ground, but she is not so lucky.  The officer knocks her down and holds a gun to her head, while the other one handcuffs her.  A third officer bursts through the open door and sees me on the floor and points his gun at me.   "Hey.  Stay down and no one will get hurt."  The third officer states just before he handcuffs me.   With her face buried in the comforter, the police say, "You’re under arrest.  You have the right to remain silent."  The rest I don't think she heard because she just lays there shaking her head. I straighten up and head butt one of the cops and rip his key off his belt.  The cop yells and the other two dive bomb me. Moving out of the way, I hit the one and then push the othe

Chapter 17: Lillian
"Crap!"Jordan exclaims as he gazes out the window scanning the area for cops.  He turns around and says, "I just saw George get out of the car."Standing up, I hurry over to the window and stare out as he walks towards the door.  Watching him knock, Jordan goes to the door and prepares to answer it.  Ready for a fight, he stiffens and opens it.  Mildly surprised that Jordan just opens the door, George stares at him before smiling.  "Well, that was easier than I thought it was going to be.  I thought for sure that you wouldn't open the door and I was going to have to inform the police that you are here." He remarks.Jordan's face turns red with anger and he looks like he is about to punch him when I step between them.  "What do you want George?""I want you to stop all this and bring my kids back home.  You know where your place is."  He glares at me and then at Jordan.Jordan yells out, "Oh

Chapter 18: Jordan
The last few days were really hard, because I spent most of the day with Lillian and then I went to the shop to check up on their work.  I had lied to her when I said they were doing a wonderful job.  At first when I left them in charge, they spit them out like a conveyor belt, but then after a while they slowed down to a crawl.   When I checked in on them the last time, they had gotten behind by one and there were three more waiting in line.  If I don't get my life in check soon, the shop will be history and so will my life's dream.  I have to get Lillian out of here and now that she is divorced, I can marry her and everything can simmer down. The thing is, everytime I go back to the hospital she looks at me so sad and I feel like I shouldn't ever leave her side.  I don't think she is doing it intentionally, but she is making me feel really bad.  Like today for instance, I slept there last night and then when I had to leave ab

Chapter 19: Lillian
As I wake up in my own bed, a smile spreads across my face and then I turn to Jordan who is still sleeping.  Damn, I was hoping to give him a big kiss and then maybe make his day with a morning BJ.  But since he isn’t awake yet, I carefully slide my feet to the side of the bed and place them on the floor before getting up and pulling my bathrobe on.  “Knock” “Knock” “Knock” Hurrying as I go down the stairs, I hear the knock again.  This time it is louder and more insistent sounding.  When I reach the door and open it, I see a police officer and a detective standing face to face just outside and they are talking quietly.  The moment I open the door, they glare at me with frowns on their faces and then the taller one states, “We are here with a search warrant.  Last night your ex-husband was shot right out front of Jordan’s business.  It looked like a robbery, but then we noticed that he had a gun too, so we are c

Chapter 20: Jordan
Slowly opening my eyes, I notice that I have a massive headache and I feel like someone has beat the hell out of me.  There is a sound in the room like an air conditioner on the fritz with its whine constantly going on in the background and I hear something else too.  Perhaps television static from the other room? Of course, I can’t see because someone has taken the time to blindfold me and rather tightly at that.  Maybe that is why my head hurts so bad or could it be the way the tall one cold cocked me with the butt of his gun when I ran my smart mouth at him.  Who knows?  Either way it ends up the same, with me having one hell of a headache. Hearing someone walking towards me, I am thankful I haven’t lost my sense of smell because the minute the tall one walks in the door, I get a whiff of his cologne and I find myself almost puking.  But at least I know which one it is and that I am still with the two of them and not someone else.&nbs
