   After my mom helped me get dressed for the ceremony where I'll be introduced as their new alpha, she asked me to wait a few moments. I waited as she disappeared, before she brought in her grandmothers knecklace. It was a simple silver chain with a see through little heart shaped box that was holding a unrealisticly shiny pearl inside. I was so entranced in its beauty that I didn't even notice my mother walking toward me to reach around me clasping it around my neck.  "Mother you shouldn't have! It's your favorite. What if I mess it up or lose it?" I rambled on nervously.My beautiful mother that didn't look a day over 28 smiled at me. She then went, sat on my bed, and padded the spot next to her. Signaling me to sit with her.  "Mya, yes that necklace is very dear to me. Just like it was to my mother and her mother. Now, its time for it to be a special part of someone elses life." Mother said with a hint of sadness. 

A whole group of wolves was surrounding a woman, her child, and what looked like a man that has already fallen. They were closing in, ready to attack them! Without hesitation, I ran to help the mother. I knew I couldn't shift, but I still know how to kill a wolf, thanks to my parents' training me to be ready to face any challenges as alpha. "Everyone! In human form, I may be able to go against two, maybe three wolves in dire situations. But, this many... I'm not so sure I can last long. It's been at least a week since the destruction of my pack. Or, so I think. It's almost impossible to tell time down here. The only source of time I have is the guard who brings food down once a day. When I walked out of the bathroom, to my relief, there wasn't a soul in sight. I grabbed my clothes and started changing. I was almost done pulling my shirt over my head when I heard the door open. I immediately stilled. I know I was looking crazy with my arms over my head with a shirt halfway down covering my head. I haven't heard any noise, maybe they saw me naked and left?
