2. A tragedy

 A whole group of wolves were surrounding a woman, her child, and what looks like a man that has already fallen. They were closing in ready to attack them! Without hesitation I ran to help the mother. I knew I couldn't shift but I still know how to kill a wolf, thanks to my parents training me to be ready to face any challenges as alpha.

 "Everyone! There's a group of wolves attacking some members from behind the stage! Im going to protect them, until help can arrive!" I mind linked the whole pack in hopes someone comes to help in time. In human form, I may be able to go against two, maybe three wolves in dire situations. But, this many... I'm not so sure I can last long.

  As soon as I got close to the mother, I noticed it was our kitchen chef Marie, her daughter Lana, and a pack warrior that was on guard duty.. Why weren't we warned of intruders long ago? I needed to get them to safety as soon as possible. Right before I got to them a wolf jumped in front of me ready to protect his prey. He went to lunge at me, but was immediately attacked from the side from another warrior that heard my link. 

  I rushed to the mother again but was stopped by multiple of our warriors. They wanted me to go hide. But, how could I? I'm their alpha! I'm suppose to protect them! Not the other way around. I was so mad at feeling helpless. I didn't notice how many wolves were truly surrounding us.. 

  In an instant they all dashed out of the forest around us attacking, and killing everyone in their sight. It became an immediate blood bath. As their new alpha I was completely vulnerable. I couldn't fight.. I shifted without a mate, minutes ago. I know I barely survived it.. I'm not sure I can survive another so soon after.

   As I heard the shrill screams, and saw all the blood I knew.. I knew I couldn't help them. We were a peaceful pack. We've never attacked anyone with, or without cause. Hell! We've never even harmed a rogue that was trespassing! Violence was just never our thing. So, why?...  I just couldn't understand what we did to deserve this. We cared about everyone. Good, or bad.

  I was knocked out of my shock by the remainder of our pack, running for their lives. After the gruesome onslaught of our Alpha and Luna, They all knew. We weren't going to win. So, the only choice was to run, and survive... sadly no one got away. Some were killed trying to escape, others were loaded into multiple different vans. As I was being tossed in a van. It hit me. Through all the horrid bloddy smells, there was a hint of something.. sweet?.. 

  I just couldn't accept this. Why did this have to happen to us?! I was so furious! My whole pack gone in the blink of an eye. Innocent fathers, mothers, children.. They're gone.. whats left is empty reminders of what we used to have.. This was just too much. I stood up, with all the energy I had left. Kicked the door with full force. To everyones surprise the doors didn't open.. they only dented them enough for us to see out a hole between the doors.. 

  Everything was very hazy. I could barely see around me. I knew I was going to black out soon from the shift. It just took too much energy, apart from the stress of losing most of my pack, and my parents.. turning towards a few of my members I tried my best to steady my focus. 

   " I will save you all. I will get revenge for what has happened to our family. Stay strong. No matter how long it takes. We will be free! We will return to our rightful home, at the White Moon pack!" As soon as the words left my lips every bit of energy I had left faded away. I felt myself slip into darkness.

            ~TWELVE YEARS AGO~

 Mya was having dinner with her parents as usual when an unusual, and scary man walked in with a boy who looked to be a few years older than her, silently in tow behind him.

 "Why are you here? During a private time unannounced?!"

 The man just smiled at him with an evil smirk. Not uddering a single word. This made my father even more furious. He walked over and grabbed him by the collar demanding to answer his questions. This still, had no effect on the strange man.

"I'm just here to introduce your daughter to her future mate like we planned. Don't you remember?" His evil smirk grew into the widest smile I've ever seen on a person. 

 "We planned no such thing! We don't know who her mate is! But it will never be your son. No one in your pack deserves to be by her side!" Father shouted. I could see his wolf wanting to take control, as gold specks filtered in his eyes.

 The man shoved my father off him. Straightened his shirt. Looked my father straight in the eyes challenging him. " Axel you will regret this day, and breaking our deal." With that he grabbed his terrified son and walked away. 

  I looked at my mother hoping she would tell me what just happened. But, she looked at me. Smiled one her soft smiles. "Eat your food darling, it's getting late."  "Okay." I responded lightly as I looked over for my father. To no avail, he had disappeared.

 We both finished our food, cleaned our dishes, and walked to our rooms. I never got my answers, nor saw that scary man or his son again. 

  *SLAM*

 I was jolted awake by a loud slam. I could barely see anything from the bright lights shining from outside. It took a few moments but I was able to adjust to it. I was on the floor. I looked at the few of my pack that was with me. They looked terrified.. I turned towards the back door and seen so many men just standing their staring at us. Ive never seen so much malice in just a look.

  I stood up best I could. "Who are you?" I asked in my alpha tone. But, They just stood there.. "what's going on?" Still nothing.... "ANSWER ME!!" I was getting pissed now. They aren't going to randomly attack my pack, kill most, capture the rest, and then stare at me like I lost my mind?? 

 Without a second thought I jumped to attack them. I clawed one across the face, kneed one in the groin, I also managed to gut one. I was rushing to another when I suddenly felt two hands go around both side of my head. I knew they were going to snap my neck. 

  Before he could get any further. I heard the deepest, most demanding voice ever. "ENOUGH!!" Immediately all the strange men stopped. Even the one about to snap my neck, dropped his hands. As I looked around, I smelled that sweet scent again.. Except it was so much stronger. It was like an ocean breeze mixed with lavender.. my favorite!
