TRIGGER: graphic images and fighting None of the bones had purple flowers in or under them and I hated touching them. It was creepy. It didn’t take long before I saw I was alone and that I could no longer see Saple. My worry choked me. I walked in a circle, trying to find my cub mate or the monster prince but I didn’t see them anywhere. Finally, I collapsed into a sitting position.I kicked the scattered skull that was closest to my foot and gasped as a bright color caught my attention. I crawled over to it. The purple flower that we were looking for grew out of a hole in the ground. It’s thick colorful green stem disappeared deep into the earth. I reached for it. Pulling my hand back suddenly, I gasped from the pain and saw the bloo

When I woke up, I was confused for a few minutes about where I was and what was happening. Everything looked weird. All the colors around me were so much brighter and the darkness had much more depth.I didn’t understand. But there was an important mission that we came here for that needed my attention right now. I looked over where the snake had come out.The blue flower was laying on it’s side on the ground but I cannot remember how it got separated from its stem. I picked it up gently. Calling out to my cub mate, I offered it excited to see the joy I brought to her face. But then she reacted in the strangest of ways! I caught her as she fell and helped her gently to the ground. But it came from my own dragon! I admired the wisdom that was now available to me and am grateful for the wonderful company.“Does the keeper have power over the skies?” I asked. As we approached the castle, the sky grew overcast with dark grey clouds. They were unusual. While the clouds were heavy and

A strange mewling noise caught her attention. She swallowed back her tears as she turned towards the noise. The dragon was lamenting the loss of Roger. It was the most miserable and saddest thing she had ever seen or heard.Suddenly, Saple’s eyes glowed bright red. He roared, as he let go of a stream of fire into the air, and magic crackled like lightning around them. The storm clouds built quickly around Saple and Roger but this time they engulfed the entire area, leaving Veronica stumbling around in a purple fog. She wasn’t sure what she was seeing between the darkness and the limited sight of the grainy fog. But the dragon was nuzzling Roger. Saple seemed to be glowing and shrinking as he poured himself into whatever spell and emotions he was experiencing.Veronica stood frozen in

Here is a little sneak peak:   An opened portal revealed a giant slimy abomination.  It was twice the height of a man with several flaps of scales around a giant slobbery mouth and rows of giant unrelenting, gnashing teeth. The leathery weather worn skin was wrapped tautly around it, as if it was too big for it’s own skin.  It lurched angrily forward from a dark red world of fire. The mysterious portal revealed the other side like an open door. A world of brimstone and lava. There was no place like it in this world. The ground shook. The hulking mass of disgust slithered into the room. It’
