Chapter Thirty.
"First it was Mathew 7.7. And now it's apotrépsei." Wei couldn't help the laugh that escapes his lips as he read the sign in front of the village. From one death trial to another. He thought. 'apotrépsei' Luna thought the word over and over in her head. She felt that she had heard it before but couldn't pin-point where, when. Or it's meaning. "So we go in?" Jeff said. "It's not like we can go back." Salvador strolled into the village, without a care. The others tagging along behind him. It didn't take long for them to realise that the village was actually the same as the one from before. The only difference that the place was full with people. All who are dressed in a funny, ancient style. Using leaves and animal skins. The villagers didn't pay any attention to the outsiders. They ha

"is it just me or?" "It wasn't a dream?" Luna caught on to his words. Saying a quick reply. "It must be the second trail." "Fucking Island." Wei gripped on his hair roughly. Frustration sipping through him. "Just two more trials to go." Jeff face paled. "We don't even know what the whole thing is all about." "And the massacre..." His voice cracked. The rated 18 images flashing in his head. "It would have been a lot better if we could understand their language." Luna sighed. Hands winding around her pained stomach. She couldn't remember the last time she ate.  Wei who calmed down after some minutes turned to Salvador. "Should we spread out and try to look for more information?" "No. It would be useless." He shook his head. "What ever this is, we will have to figure it ourselves." "You think we

Just when the soldiers where about to arrive. A familiar group of people entered her sight. "Are those?" Wei started off. "––." "Sandra." Luna yelled, pushing through the crowd. The other girl's eyes caught hers. Relief flashing through them before Luna became lost in the crowd. Luna also lost sight of Sandra. "Sandra. Allyssa." Just in time the soldiers assault started. The noise was over the top. Gun shots, cries, yells, the sound of matching boots, the cracking of the flaming fire, hoarse breaths. And the loudest. Her heartbeat. Luna lost her footings, falling into a body behind. The person's arm wrapping around her waist, and holding her up. Sandra? Where did they go? She was sure she saw her. Sandra, Allyssa. She has seen them. She was sure. "Sandra."

"I think I know a way." All eyes turn to Sandra.   "You do?"    "They are pretty many soldiers, maybe thirty to forty, am sure they aren't all that familiar with each other." Sandra started. Luna quickly catching on.   "You want us to infiltrate the camp?" She stared blankly. "That's–."   "Not you." Sandra quickly cuts in. Pointing from Luna to Jeff. "Or you."   "These two." Her eyes moved between Salvador and Wei.   "The fuck."   "I can go." Salvador cuts Luna off this time. "But Wei can't. His hand injury isn't healed yet."   And that was true. Although Wei kept managing, and helping out without protests. His hand injury hurt like sticking a wood up ones ass.   "I will go instead." Jeff volunteers. "Am not that big, but am sure I will do."   "I suppose." Sandra nodded.

So another plan was set. They laid low until sunset. Heading out to the soldiers camp, from Sandra's memory. It didn't take long until they found it. Slowly creeping near the enemy's territory. They had plucked a ton of the heart wither flower. And all that was remaining was for the right time to show up. "Spread out." Sandra gestured with her hand. The now big team all have a divided into different small sets. Pairing up as planned. They all got a section of the camp. North, south, east. The west side was a very thick bush which was almost impossible to penetrate so they left it out. Luna, Allyssa and Salvador, Wei and Jeff. Then Sandra and Nash. When Luna's team got to their allocated position. They quickly put the first phase into action. Find a safe place to hide.  It

Not a good idea. Luna sighed. But not bad either. "Okay. Then lead the way."  "Not you two." Sandra narrowed his eyes at both Luna and Salvador. Then let's out a sigh. "Like I said before, only me and Nash know the trap layout. It would be dangerous if you tag along." "And you think leaving us here isn't dangerous?" Luna glared at her. "Some seconds ago before you asked–." Sandra quipped. "yes." "We all go together." All eyes turned to Salvador. His words served as he final decision. The rest three unconsciously agreeing to his point. "There are just three traps, it won't be that difficult. Just follow my lead. We go on the count of three." Sandra stated. "Remember. Stay with me, and don't take a single step out of what I take. We were lucky to have escaped last time. This time might not be." Her eyes scann

"Fuck." Salvador cursed before she got the chance to. --------------- "Catch!!" Salvador's fingers tightly clenched on the rope that the people at the top got from 'God knows where.' his other arm snaked around the terrified looking Luna's waist. "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck." The black haired girl cried hysterically, screaming on top of her lungs at the sight below, the moment they were lifted out of the pit.  Her voice cracked, chest heaving violently. "Fucking God." While she cried, Salvador crunched still, eyes fixed on the pit infested with 'disgusting' looking human eating maggots. He couldn't think. Not that he couldn't, he didn't dare think of how tragic his poor life would have ended if he had been in that pit for a second longer. "We have got to go." The only still sane person, Nash, reminded.

The now enlarged group settled down at an underground hideout. With a loud crash the short brunette woman cleared the rectangular table, making space for Wei to lie down. "Any medical student around?" She asked and Luna stepped forward.  "Grab the first aid box." Glancing at Luna with the corner of her eyes, she carefully tore off the clothes on Wei's arm, revealing a purple looking, fleshy, injury.  Looking back at the dazed black haired by her side she roared even more loudly. "Third cupboard to the left. Get the first aid box, will you?" Luna snapped out of her head at that moment, rushing over and quickly returning with the first aid box in her hand. "Antibiotics?" The woman ordered. Squinting her pools of pitch black eyes when the bottle arrived at her front. Taking a deep breath to calm her lungs, she rephrase. "I hold him

"We have said enough." Emma finally cuts in. "Now it's your turn. We have been trying to contact the outside world for years. And even if we didn't, why didn't the US backup army arrive? If am right, that would because they couldn't find the Island, I mean who could give up such treasures? Definitely not does greedy old men. So, how did you all get here?" Agreeing with a nod. Salvador slowly start to explain, in details, their experience since they arrived at Gehinnom. His expression turning from sad, to irritation, then confusion. "So you guys were supposed to be eleven?" Ten raised a brow. "And now you are just remaining six?" Taking their silence as a 'yes' he let out a loud laugh. "Well, not bad. You only lost five people. I mean it's not that bad." Emma slapped on his shoulder, while Sandra glared viciously at him. "Those five people were our friends." "I don't mean anything

Must be the core of the island." Salvador confirmed. "Hum...excuse me." Ten raised up his hand dumbly. "I don't really  understand all this you guys are saying. Can you please speak english. Ya know. Human language." "Of course, only you wouldn't." Emma scowled, then explained. "Everything in this world has a core. Something that supplies it's power. Eg. The core of a touch is it's batteries....and the core of a human?" "Is her breast." Ten exclaimed righteously. "The bigger the more powerful." "Perverted idiot." Sandra spoke up before Emma could. Glaring at Ten, when the latter eyes moved to her round chest. Salvador coughed, clearing the fishy air. "since the tree supplies the island with it's magical powers when it was a paradise, it should also be responsible for sponsoring this hellish place too." "I bet." Emma grimaced. "If we
