THE OTHER SIDE OF HELL

The moon shines brightly. Just like a pendant hanging on the neck of a lady in her early youth. Beautiful and elegant.

But what hides under the moon is a different story entirely.

The large canopy trees obstructs the moonlight, casting shadows on the rough, uneven ground. Twigs and vines which one could swear that wasn't there before acted as barriers to their much needed fast pace.

Groans and heavy pants can be heard, both far and near but they were all empty whispers in the face of the constant cries and heart wenching yells in horrors.

The kind of sharp sounds that rips into your ear, taking control of your brain and filling your vunerable body vessel with fear.

"Ou–r fa–aa–ther.....Wh–ooo...Who-oo art in hea–ven... "

"Shut the fuck up Fizz." Andrew curse under his breath. Hardly had he guess where the person is, but he knew who the voice belongs to too well.

Fizz is the only one among his comrades who has a religion. Praying about every single thing at every single time.

They'd always make jokes of him been a chicken. Easily scared.

A light of hope flashed in his eyes when he sight the familiar cabin.

A safe place.

A figure sliped past the door first, holding it wide enough for him to enter too.

"Bolt the door." He ordered his eyes frantically searching around for the telephone.

Help. That's what they need. To get help.

"But Lieutenant..." The dark figure hesitates, knuckles cluching on the metal door as he stares out into the darkness outside. 

There are still people outside. He can't just lock the door.

"I said lock the goddmaned door soldier." Andrew snarls, the figure who he recognizes as Christian flinches, slamming the door shut and clamping the locks.

"Good." Breathing out a breath of relief he resumes his self-set mission.

The telephone.

His hand moved on their own accord, shoving everything and anything off the table, not bothering to take a second look if it was important or not.

Only one thing was important at the moment.

A grin finds it's way to his lips when his fingers wraps around the familiar object.

He punches on the keys, bringing the cold plastic to his ear.

"Lieutenant Andrew." A voice inquires from the other line.

"It's Lieutenant Andrew speaking." He rasped throwing all the formalities out of the window. Or maybe they flew out themselves. "There's something wrong with this place....it's.... it's killing people. Everybody. The scientists...my men."

There's a high pitch glitch then a different voice comes on. "Lieutenant Andrew calm down and explain what happ...."

"How the fuck should I calm down....it's killing everybody...it's fucking killing everybody...." Andrew voice echos on the rooftop. "We need help. Fucking send help...we need..."

"Lieutenant Andrew?–are you there? Lieutenant..."

The words get caught in his mouth, forcefully swallowing it back down his throat. His ear perking up to detect more in regards of the gasp he heard.

Silence. A dreadful silence.

His hand slowly moves to his side pocket. Quitely unbuttoning his gun which he brings to his side.

Pushing down a fluffy ball of saliva he swiftly turn to face the door.

Christian standing still with a unfathomable expression on his face. Blood gushing out of his mouth non-stop.

His blood shot eye rolls to the back of his head, his body dropping to the wooden floor with a thud revealing a mud drenched figure behind him.

No..this can't be real.

"I killed you." His head ache, his skin itching like thousands of infected worms were crawling all over him. "I killed you with my own fucking hands."

He hand drived a hunters knife deep into his chest some days ago. Watched as his pupils dilates and the life slip out of his body. He should be dead. 

No he is dead.

The table let out a clang, his body pressing against the hard metal as his eyes stare at the blood dripping organ clenched around the supposedly dead person's fingers.

He took out his heart. Christian's heart.

He wanted to scream, let out the fear and remove the stormy cloud gathering in his chest.

But his oversized ego would not allow that, watching as his predator advances slowly, taking all his time like he had the world in his hand.

All he had witnessed was enough to come to a conclusion.

He had just voluntarily entered the other side of hell.
