Kian  Luuk and I drive down the road. We are on our way to meet with David Fisher, an old family friend. He wants to open a new club in Haarlem and as always that's got to go through me. Nothing happens in my kingdom without my knowledge and approval.  I gaze out the window while Luuk steers the car- we took the Porsche for the occasion- over the highway. He prefers this particular ride, and I am happy to let him use it. I got too many cars anyway, the time and days I went to the track and raced are over now.  

Nikki  I glance in the bathroom mirror from the restaurant we are currently having dinner at. Gently, I touch the bruises on my throat.
