Chapter 61
LENORA'S POV Diane had sat beside my bed all through the time as she constantly checked up on me, she had a worried look on her face as she mixed different medicines for me. They all claimed I had been poisoning myself for a long time while I can't relate with what they all say. I was fully conscious when I heard the king announcing the last fight being today by 5pm and when I heard my whole body went numb as a part of me felt like I had already lost Alaric for good and worst of all I lost him to Tala. Sometimes I wish he could do something about this but I keep forgetting that Adolph was the ruler and king of all paranormal creatures and there was no way Alaric would stand a chance against him. The only true option was to perform the werewolf ritual and fight. "I'll make sure to give you some special family potion, it works well but in your current condition it might have some bad side effects that

On realising the truth, I rushed towards the kitchen,it was busy and it took a while for me to realise that it was busy because of tonight's event.         The king had planned everything on his own and concluded on me marking Tala today but that will never happen, the food would probably be for the midnight feast afterwards but too bad for him the whole food would be fed to the street dogs because there won't be any celebration of me marking Tala tonight.         They all noticed my presence and stopped what they were doing as they bowed to me while I scanned the room but realised that was pointless as I had no idea who the head chef was.

JENNY'S POV   "What the hell do you think you're doing?" The kitchen door barged open as I saw the least person I was expecting. It was Josh and he seemed to have overheard my conversation with Clara as there was obvious anger in his eyes.   I understand he loves the prince and is only being loyal to him but I feared he might rat me out since he loves the prince almost more than he loves his life.   "Nothing, just taking the food to Lenora " I casually replied in an attempt to play it off in case he didn't hear anything.    "Stop with your pretense, I know you've put something in her food, I saw you and you're working with her mother?" He spat in disgust and I knew I was done for.   He was going to report me to the prin

Things were never the same between us anymore after that incident as I could always feel the tension between us whenever we happened to be in the same room while I secretly hoped that Alaric wouldn't notice us.         We've constantly met at silent corners and made out even though it was a quickie but all of these happened so fast in a short time. Our bodies became irresistible to ourselves but it'll all be for the time being.         Lenora doesn't have much life left to live and once she dies, the Prince will finally have to acknowledge me then I'll have to kiss Josh goodbye.

Chapter 65
LENORA'S POV                   "Order from the King, every wolf should be present in the battleground,  the battle starts in 10 minutes. It's the final battle and the day the prince marks his partner!" The King's guard announced yet again but my mind was way far from what he was saying.                   "Do you think you can handle this?" Alaric asked amidst his anger, I could sense his anger but he was trying his best to contain it.                   "Yeah.." I replied faintly as he walked me into my room. I wasn't feeling like myself as my mind was

Chapter 66
This couldn't be happening,  this was unfair, the king was being unfair. Tala had also caused injuries to me but he never paid attention  to that and just this once I managed to have the upper hand, he was still going to be on Tala's side and everything seemed like he had made up his mind right from the start.         "This isn't fair Father!" Alaric spoke up in a raised rone as he stood up and pointed his finger to the King, the queen wasn't happy about his decision either as she abandoned Tala on the floor with her eyes fixed on the King as she stared at him in disbelief.         "I have made my final decision!" The king repeated as I completely broke down. He could not

Chapter 67
"Lenora!" I yelled her name while trying my best to make her open her eyes. The blade hadn't done any damage to her skin yet she wasn't opening her eyes.   Perhaps she passed out from panicking or the shock that came with the realisation that she was close to death.   Diane came closer to where I was standing as she offered to help Lenora. On releasing lenora to her, my rage resurfaced.   I couldn't believe my father almost took Lenora away from me like he had been taking the people I loved away from me. I definitely won't let him get away with this.   "That was the height of it Adolph!" I growled and reached to hit him, I wasn't attempting to just hit him but to let him pay for everything he had caused even if it meant killing him.&nb

Chapter 68
A gasp left my mouth the moment my eyes flew open and I found myself yet in the Palace. It must have been a dream but it felt so real. A sharp pain stung my chest and I screamed in awe while clenching my chest tight with my hands, my senses resurfaced as I lifted my head to see blood trailing down Adolph's arms as his hands were dug into Alaric's body. The sight of seeing Alaric's blood spilling on the ground, the sight of his skin going pale, the sight of blood gushing from his mouth as he struggled for his life. The feeling of pain in him, the feeling of pain in me and the spinning of my head made everything worse for me. I tried to yell but words didn't seem to be leaving my mouth. Alaric's eyes finally met with my startled eyes as his lips curled up in a painful smile at the sight of me. He was smiling at me while his eyes were closing shut and his hands were no longer fighting for his life.

Chapter 69
"Lenora," Clara called with fear in her eyes as her body shook beside Tala who couldn't seem to comprehend what was happening.     I signalled to Alaric that I would like to go closer to them in hopes that he would let go of my waist but he didn't, he held them even more firm as he walked me towards them.    "Lenora,  I knew you would turn out to be the best" Clara forced a smile on her face while sweat filled her body.    "I just knew you were special right from the start and all of these were just a scheme to bring your inner spirit out..."    "Just shut the fuck up Clara! Do you think I would even take a second to believe you after everything you've done to me? You were so comfortable with wanting to kill m

Chapter 70
It's been 2 weeks since Adolph left the Palace and it has also been 2 weeks since I declared my love for Alaric. Everything has been working just fine for us ever since and I sincerely hope that it'll last forever.   I do not wish to encounter any more problems, I've suffered enough since I was born and I could say I needed to feel nothing but joy henceforth.    Tala and Clara on the other hand have been suffering in the same cell for two weeks, they've been eating fine as I promised but their food has always been laced with wolfsbane.    I made sure to put a trusted person who would be in charge of that, I didn't want it to be a situation whereby they get to be pitied.    At first they were reluctant to eat their food and that went on for only three or four days as their body cried for food. They had no choice but to eat what would slowly kill them eventually.   I
