Alpha Gray's pickup truck slid into the muddy ground as he came to an abrupt stop outside Perla's cottage. Nueva was still naked, sitting on the ground next to Perla, holding a piece of her ripped clothes against the bleeding wound on her upper leg.Perla leaned in and whispered, "There is a blanket right inside the front door. Nueva woke up from being slapped in the face by a sleeping Mira. She opened her sleep drunken eyes and grunted, annoyed. Evie was lying on her other side, flat on her stomach, hanging off the side of the bed. Mira snored a loud snort and woke herself up from the sharp noise.
