60. A MISTRESS'S CONSEQUENCES
By the time I walked out of the castle it seems the news had spread like wildfire because a lot of women walked around as if they did not have anything to do but of course they did not, all was provided in the packs. I rushed out, running in maximum speed but had to stop to ask where Rose’s house was. I rushed with her clinging onto me as if she was losing her life. Seeing her like that killed me. I got to her house and just as I was about to get to the front porch the door flung open. A woman ran out, tears streaming down her face and looking at the lady I would say she was Rose’s mother. I don’t know why but I never even once thought Rose had parents, it just felt weird to me. I shook my head, a man running out also in such destress. “Hello, I brought Rose. Can you show me to her room?” I asked as they nod their heads. They seemed to be in panic themselves, running back to the house, holdi

61. INBETWEEN ROYALTY PART I
The king’s words just added to my stress. They would be going to war in a week, they were stressed themselves, what could I do to help them stress less? What could I do to help Rose?  I went to Alpha Bush but it seemed as if something had chirped in him and seeing me riled him up so I apologized and stepped away without even saying another word. There was nowhere I could help, my head drumming as if to split to a thousand pieces with my hands shaking from it yet I thought I would go insane if I continued standing where I was so I rushed to the kitchen. The heat just knocked me on the face, heads turning with greetings coming but I was barely there. I moved around, helping where I could but I ended up creating more of a mess. “Luna, I think you need to go rest.” One of the ladies said with me snapping out of it and shaking my head. “No, I said I would

62. INBETWEEN ROYALTY PART II
I curtseyed, bowing my head and going as low as I could in the heels I was wearing.   “My king.” I greeted.   “Luna.” He greeted back, my head rising with our eyes meeting and I thought I would faint. He was the most handsome man I had seen and his scent, it was driving me insane especially because he was fresh from the shower and I could still see his hair wet. I wanted to just run my hands through it while pulling him to smash my lips against his. The room got hot, him seeming trapped too. I missed him, I missed him dearly but it was not in the stars for us.   The silence in the room, so quiet as if someone died just snapped me out of it. I swallowed, slowly rising with my legs shaking for I had been in that position for too long. His hand came out and I did not even think, grabbing it for support with the sparks as if to kill me. I closed my eyes, a feeling I adored very much.   “Thank you my king

63. A KING'S CURSE
A glass of juice was pushed towards me, feeling weird to just be sitting there when all were eating. My head turned to the king, nodding my head in appreciation to take the glass with my free hand, bringing it to my lips. I had not eaten in so long I was afraid of what would happen when I drank the fruit juice. I took slow sips, bringing it down, the taste suddenly feeling foreign to me. The king suddenly pushed his plate back and stared up. I placed my glass down, staring at his food which was not even quarter way in. I frowned, wanting to see what was wrong? Did he not like it? His eyes wrecked through all the pack members, all eating with none talking, all enjoying. My eyes trailed back to him, wondering what was wrong. He pulled his hand from mine, taking me off guard, it slipping away as I cursed in my head. He pushed his chair back, slipping from it with all stopping what t

64. END OF THE WORLD
It was a sight for nightmares. It was a play for demons. The screams had it worse with the blood splashing all over the walls. My shaking hands held onto Conri. I felt as if someone was pulling a baby from my womb, so pale and sick I could not even scream. I could not even cry out as Alpha Bush tore through the Beta as if he was nothing. I watched Brum’s body stagger side to side until he fell to the side, bleeding. The room finally fell as silent as it could with a royal beta having just been mauled right in front of them. Conri’s arms came around me, trying to pull me to his chest, trying to hide me away from the sight but I fought him. I wanted to see, I wanted to help but each time I moved it felt as if my back was tearing apart. Alpha Bush continued and I suddenly did not care if my back would rip open with all my insides falling out. My body shifted, pushing from Conri who held me tight, not letting go.

65. A FATHER'S CRIMES PART I
The king was the first to get up. He did not hide his vulnerability from all his people but none saw, all in a hole of sadness no one to pull them out of. The king held out his hand to Brum, their hands connecting with Brum stumbling up. His wounds were closed just as mine but sure every part of him was haunted with nothing but paralyzing pain. The two relatives stared at each other, hands behind each other’s necks in understanding. I doubt Conri was that close with anyone else, even with his deceased brothers.   They stumbled from each other yet Conri held onto Brum, taking all his weight as he limped. Brum held out his hand and I took it, pulling from the floor not sure what to say or do from there. How could a person recover from that? How and what could we do for Rose? My body stumbled up, Brum’s arm coming around my waist with my back still drenched with my blood but the wounds having closed.   Our footsteps echoed, all three walk

66. A FATHER'S CRIMES PART II
It hurt, it all hurt but I would take it like a queen. My eyes opened, my head tipped up with my eyes falling on the king just walking out of the door. He wore shorts, his t-shirt discarded, knowing where he was going. I cleared my throat. “Let’s go.” I said, pushing off him with my heel clicking as I walked out of there feeling torn from every part of my body yet showing nothing but strength. I could not hear anything, barely seeing anything as I walked out of there leaving nothing but my echoing sound. I walked out of the door and made my way across the pack which was empty, a hollow wind whispering all the wrongs that were about to happen. My eyes fixed on the three men that were at punishment square. The king walked around the punishment pole which he had been holding not long ago. He assessed it as if looking for which side to hold on. Tobbias came running past me, carrying whips that had not been

67. HERE WE ARE AGAIN PART I
Thick towels were lain on the bed, rushing to the bathroom just as the door opened, the two men walking in carrying the king to carefully lay him on the towels. A dish had been grabbed from the kitchen. I filled it with warm water. I poured my body wash gel, taking the towel I used to bath and walked out. Brum stood, his body by the window, looking out at the grounds as Stern seemed as if he would faint staring at the king, stepping forward and back from him as if afraid he would die. I walked closer, setting the bowl on the bed with the cloth dipped in and twisted in a squeeze before gently wiping at the king’s skin with bubbles left behind which I wiped again. I cleaned him up, every part of him cleaned. A towel was wrapped just above the dirty shorts then I pulled them down, the towel covering. My hand slipped in, trying not to touch anything I was not supposed to touch, cleaning his waist where the band of the

I turned, Alpha Rivers just walking up to get his basket and following after me. I rushed to the kitchen. “Mrs. Mercy please send through the mind link that we need twenty five warriors who will accompany the leaving alphas.” I said, not even bothered that they would not show. If they did not I would sure show a side they did not want to meet. “Yes Luna.” Mrs. Mercy said back. “Please tell them to be fast and be by the castle steps in five minutes.” I said with Mrs. Mercy nodding her head. My head turned from side to side, not knowing where Brum was. “Sandra, do you by any chance know where the royal beta is?” I questioned with her bowing her head even lower. “No Luna.” She replied with me nodding my head, deep in thought. My body leaned against the counter, thinking all the events that happened thro

69. A MERMAID'S LAKE
“Can you take me to the Mermaid Lake?” I said to Stern, my fingers running through his fur for him to freeze then purr, falling under my spell as I caught him in my web.   He relished in the feeling before turning around, my hand drawing away. He took off running, staring back at me, seeing that he wanted us to race. I giggled, he could never win but I gave him his head start as he bolted away. I shook my head, picking up my speed and running after him. His ego would be crushed, deciding to lower my speed as I ran a few feet behind him. He ran with his all, poor him. My eyes turned, taking the forest in as the night fell on it and it was beyond breath taking. There were flying insects, some with glowing bodies and others with glowing eyes. Their sounds just brought the forest to life as it buzzed with such enchantment and I was so taken by it.   It was stunning.   I wished I could come running at night with the king, it
