(Nerina’s P.O.V)             I know that I fainted after hearing my mother basically confirm what John and William and those other guys had been saying. I just can’t believe that witches are a thing. They can’t be. I keep pondering this thought as I sit here…all alone…in the dark. Hmm maybe I should start walking and see what happens. As soon as I stand up, I fall. Not like to the ground but fall, like I’m falling through the sky but in pitch dark. I open my mouth to scream but nothing comes out, and this feels like I’ve been falling forever. Finally, I hit ground; soft beautiful green grass surrounded by beautiful flowers and a beautiful forest. I stand up, having landed on my ass, and begin to look around. Someone behind me clears their throat causing me to jump. I turn to see a beautiful woman, with russet colored skin, beautiful brown eyes, and long brown hair. She looks like a goddess! “Hello de

(Nerina’s P.O.V)             Aboard the Sirens Curse, we’ve split up the jobs and I’m finally inside my Captain’s quarters. A huge king sized four poster bed sits off to one side, with a sitting area with a writing desk made of beautiful walnut. The furnishings are lush and reminiscent of the age in which we are, lots of gold though. A knock on my door pulls me out of my thoughts. “Come in!” I call.             John walks in. Goddess he looks amazing in his white linen shirt with that deep-V to it that gives you a peak of his pecs. His pants are tight, and you can totally see what he’s packing, and mama is NOT disappointed whatsoever. “Hey, do you have a minute? We are going to be weighing anchor soon and I wanted to ask you something.” “Sure, what’s up John?”

(Nerina’s P.O.V)             After John and William left the ship, we weighed anchor and hoisted the sail for the Twice Cursed Island. Just the name alone made me nervous about what we could possibly encounter there, now that we knew that witches were a thing and that Selene, the Moon Goddess, was real. I will seriously shit my pants if werewolves were real. It really makes you question what you understand, as true/real in the world, doesn’t it? We’ve been sailing for a few hours now and, to be completely honest, we are so. Fucking. Bored. “Can I please just light off ONE cannon?” Nikita whines. “No! You could kill a whale or something!” Corie yells. “I promise I won’t kill Shamu!” Kita whines back to Corie. “I swear on the Goddess that I will throw you both overboard if you don’t shut up.” I say through gritted teeth. “I just want to light off a cannon Ne, please!?” Kita gives pup

(Nerina’s P.O.V)             As the sun was beginning to set, Calypso tells us to drop anchor and get into our lifeboat to row the rest of the way to the island. We’ve seen William’s ship and they are not far behind us at this point. We row to the island as William’s ship comes to stop and drop anchor next to ours. I’m anxious to see how this meeting will go between the sirens and William once he finds out what his grandfather did. We finally make landfall and push the rowboat up onto the beach to keep the tide from grabbing it, and we walk with Calypso and the sirens up to the tree line. “How big is the island?” I ask. “You can walk around the island in a matter of 15 or 20 minutes, but the forest is dense and difficult to move through. We are also not the only creatures on this island, and it is best that they are left alone.” Raine says. “What other creatures?” Ashe asks, still in awe that what

(Nerina’s P.O.V)             It seems like the battle has stopped, we are all battered and bloodied from the blows that were exchanged. We’ve wiped out most of these weird zombie things, when William is facing off with one who seems to recognize him and that is when I hear him yell. “GREYBEARD!”             So that’s my bastard grandfather. Being undead suits him, he should really stay that way. William is matching him blow-for-blow, landing as many hits as he is taking until Grandfather Bastard slices into his shoulder. No! “NO!” I scream and begin running pell-mell towards the duelers.             William will NOT die like this; my grandfather will NOT die. It’s been hard for me to call him grandfather because it’s just been too weird of a situation to wrap my brain around but no
