Chapter 41
ELLA “I told you,” Erebus growls at me. “Queens do not play video games.” “And I told you that I am not Queen material,” I grunt as my stomach hits his shoulder with each step he takes. Erebus kicks the door to his suite open and I growl loudly next to his ear, “I am not staying in this room.” “You will stay here until you can be trusted to act like a Queen,” Erebus growls lowly as he flings me on his bed. “I am not some doll for you to dress up and make what you want,” I scream at him. “It was just video games for fucks sake. It is not like I am out doing drugs.” “Like when I caught you smoking weed the first time we met,” Erebus places his hands on his hips and looks like he is trying to scold a child. “Last I checked it is legal for me to do so in this state,” I yell back at him. “But that it is irrelevant because I haven’t smoked since I was forced to move into this Goddess forsaken hell hole you call a home.” “I saved your life by bringing you into this hell hole,”

Chapter 42
ELLA His lips crash down on my own in an instant, taking my breath away. But his lips soften against mine as his tongue explores my mouth. Unlike the urgent, needy kisses that have come before this one, this kiss is soft and delicate, like he wants to take his time. His tongue brushes up against my own before he takes my bottom lip in his mouth giving it a gentle tug with his teeth. The metallic taste of my blood fills my mouth before Erebus licks my bottom lip and seals the bite with his saliva. Placing a hand on my shoulder Erebus gently pushes my back against the bed. My head hits the pillow, and he deepens the kiss causing me to moan into his mouth. Grinding himself between my legs I can feel his erection pressing against my stomach. My hips involuntarily rise to meet his own as we find a rhythm together while our lips are still locked on one another. Breaking away from the kiss I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in closely. Erebus takes the opportunity to nip

Chapter 43
EREBUS I am watching proudly as my father negotiates with the clan of hunters that have been killing off our kind for more than fifty years. “You can’t continue to kill innocent wolves and lycans within our city limits,” my father’s voice rings out loudly through the conference hall. Murmurs of objections fill the hall as the clan debates among themselves. “We are no longer the creatures that we once were,” my father tries to speak over the murmurs, but it is useless. “We haven’t turned a human without their consent in more than a thousand years. Be reasonable.” But this clan of hunters is less than reasonable. The sound of a shot gun shucking fills the hall and the lycan guards shift immediately. Standing on my chair I try to see who has the gun, but chaos has consumed the conference hall. Four hunters are trying to subdue my father, who is still in human form. They are slashing the air around him with silver blades, but he is too quick and dodges every blade aimed at him.

Chapter 44
ELLA My fingers skim through the array of new clothes that Erebus had bought for me, so I look more like a Queen. The closet is filled with pantsuits, business casual dresses, and long shimmering evening gowns. I wrinkle my nose at all of the options. None of them are my style at all, but today is the first day of training with Talia and I don’t want to disappoint Erebus. An emerald, green dress with long sleeves and a scooped neckline catches my attention. It is perfect. Slipping the dress over my head it hugs all of my curves nicely but not too tightly and my ample cleavage is barely visible at the top of the neckline. It falls just above my knees with a little flare. I pull back the front of my hair in a simple braid letting the rest fall neatly over my shoulders. Luckily all of the purple hair dye has washed out and only my dark waves remain. Giving myself a little turn in the mirror I am satisfied that my runes are perfectly covered. As I walk into the dinning hall

Chapter 45
ELLA “I want to take you on a date,” Erebus says once he has pulled me from the library.“You aren’t going to yell at me?” I ask questioningly. Erebus pulls me to his chest and nuzzles his nose against my mark causing tingles of electricity to travel through my body. “Why would I yell?” He asks me while placing small kisses up and down my neck. The pull of the mate bond is fogging my brain and the more kisses he places near my mark the harder it is for me to think. “Because…” I breathe but no other words come to mind. “Because Queens don’t punch people in the nose,” he says before running his tongue up the side of my neck.“Right,” I breathe out again as I throw my head backwards giving him better access to my neck. “Are you going on a date with me or not,” he growls.“Mmhmm,” I moan as he sinks his teeth gently into the mark on my neck. “Be ready at seven,” he says as he pulls away but not before running his tongue over my mark. The loss of his touch leaves me swaying on

Chapter 46
ELLA Standing outside the only nightclub in Lycan City I look up to Erebus in shock. “This is where you chose to take me on our date?”“Is there something wrong with this place?” Erebus’s face falls in disappointment. “Not at all!” I say with a little too much excitement behind my words. “I just didn’t think that this was the type of thing that Kings and Queens were supposed to do.”“Since I own the place I thought we could make an exception,” Erebus says proudly with a huge grin spread across his lips. “Have you ever been here before?”I cast my eyes on the ground and shake my head no. “I rarely had a night off from the bar,” I explain, “Rick is always understaffed because he’s a pervert and chased all the female employees away.” The bouncer at the front of the nightclub waved Erebus in immediately but not before raking his eyes up and down my body. A low growl reverberates from Erebus’s chest and the bouncer quickly looks away. “Do you have a hair tie?” He growls in a

Hello my lovely readers! I had a bit of an accident yesterday that has left me with only use of one of my hands. Updates will be slow until I heal which I’m hoping will only be a week or two. I am loving all of the sweet comments, gems, and thumbs up. When I started this journey I was sure that no one would want to hear my stories. I am so honored that each and everyone of you take the time to read. Once again I am so sorry for hurting myself and delaying updates. I hope you guys will stick around and continue to read even if the chapter updates are slow.

Chapter 47
EREBUS One dance with Ella is all that it takes to have us craving the touch of one another. Before the DJ can morph the song into another one I lift Ella over my shoulder and carry her out of the club. Our exit is followed by a round of cheers from the patrons as Ella beats against my back begging to be put down. Giving her round ass a quick slap as we exit the side door she lets out a little squeal causing more cheers from the crowd. Excusing the bouncers at the side exit with a wad of cash they disappear back into the nightclub. Setting Ella down against the wall, I trap her in with my arms. “You smell divine,” I purr as I lick her mark. “I cannot wait until we get back to the mansion.” Ella face flushes bright red as I lift her dress and press her ass against the cold brick wall. “Erebus,” she whispers as I run my fingers over her panties feeling the wetness of her core. “Not here,” she begs but I am already too far gone. Hooking my fingers into the lace of her lit

Chapter 48
ELLA “Here is my credit card,” Erebus says as he hands me a shiny black credit card over breakfast. “You will need a gown for the Winter Solstice Ball.” I look from the black card in my hand and back to Erebus, then back to the card once again. “Wha… What kind of gown do I buy?” “Traditional Victorian,” Erebus says as he shoves another forkful of eggs in his mouth and thumbs through his emails on his phone. “What? Where?” I look down at the elite card in my hand once again trying to gather my thoughts. “Where do I even buy a traditional Victorian gown?” “There is a dress maker in town,” Erebus says with a wave of his hand like it is no big deal. “Have her make one for your friend too.” “You… You are inviting Sophie to the Winter Solstice Ball?” I stutter in shock. “Who are you and what have you done with my Dark God?” Erebus only chuckles as he wipes his mouth and places a small kiss on my forehead. “I will see you later Vixen, I have work to do.” With my mouth wide o

Chapter 49
ELLA My arms stretch out to my sides and the feel of empty cold sheets meet my hands. Sitting up in the bed I pout at the spot that is usually taken up by my Dark God. He rarely leaves without saying goodbye. Flopping back on my pillow I try to choke down the nerves that are building in my body. Tonight is the night of the Winter Solstice Ball. Tonight is the night that Erebus has decided to introduce me to his pack, to the city as his mate and Luna. My mind is swirling with what ifs. What if the lycans don’t accept me? What if they notice that I bear Erebus’s mark, but he doesn’t bear mine? Should I mark him before the ceremony? Do we mark each other during the ceremory? What exactly is customary in lycan ceremonies? My head is swirling with so many questions that I begin to develop a migraine. There is only one person that can put these feelings at ease, and he isn’t here by my side. Throwing my feet over the edge of the bed I rush to the closet and throw on the first
