51 - Gregs’ game

The atmosphere tensed and silence reigned. Everyone was shocked yet no one spoke. Greg and Mia had been friends but just friends all their lives. There has never been anything intimate between them. Unknown to Mia and Sandra, Greg had heard their discussion from earlier and knew that Sandra was cheating on him. He had it all planned out. This was his own way of revenge but his only fear was facing Andrew, after entangling his sister. He had neither Andrew nor Mia's permission. It was just on impulse. Mia was just trying to stop Greg from getting embarrassed if Sandra rejected him but it seemed that she was caught in the middle. Did Greg love her secretly? She never thought about it. Did she love him pass friendship? No. However, Greg was his brother's best friend and also his deputy. As such, she couldn't allow him to face disgrace. It would be too much for him to bear if she said no. Their differences will be sorted out later. Mia swallowed tightly and forced a smile. "Yes, Greg yes

52 - His love for her, died last night

"There's someone at the gate," the driver said. Greg pressed a button to wind down the window glass. He didn't say a word when he saw Sandra’s pitiful form and pressed the remote for the gate to open. The driver drove in and Sandra followed before the automated gate closed. When the car parked, Greg alighted and gave the driver a huge tip. Since he was Andrew's driver, he refused. "Then take the car home. It's late," Greg suggested. "Mr Crown already arranged for another driver to pick me,” the driver said politely."Okay, thank you," Greg said and watched the driver leave. Sandra walked up to him with a remorsed expression. "I'm very sorry Greg," Sandra said with her head lowered. A sinister smile appeared at the corner of Greg’s lips but within an instant, it was gone."You wanna talk? Follow me," Greg said and walked inside the living room while gulping down whiskey from the bottle he picked from the party. He loosened his tie, sat careless on the sofa and asked, "What do you w

53 - What if you fall in love with me in the end?

Mia wasn’t a stranger to Gregs’ penthouse, as she had come a dozen times with Andrew. However, this was the first time she saw the man half naked. His boxers were so tight on him that his masculine pride bulged arrogantly. His upper body was also well built. Not too big, not too small. Mia lowered her head shyly, her cheeks crimsoned."Sorry for coming so early but I just came to check on you and guess what?" She lifted a bag but Greg didn't know what it contained. Before he asked what, someone else beat him to it,"What?" It was Sandra. Mia's smile froze on her face and she was ready to leave. "Oh, you two are back together." She turned around to leave when Greg grabbed her wrist. "We are not back together,” Greg smiled. It was the first time Mia came to visit him alone and he guessed that Andrew had sent her to check on him.He pulled her inside and seeing the clothes on the sofa and Sandra adjusting her clothes which she seemed to have just put on, Mia discerned that they just ha

54 - Parents for rent

Susans' gaze darkened slowly and Caroline was surprised. Susan's parents and sister spoke as if they were in a happy relationship with Susan but Susan's demeanor said otherwise. "Let them in."Susan went into her office with a sad reluctance to the people she was going to meet. She settled in her executive swivel chair when her parents walked in. Friends could be chosen but not family. Her reason for not wanting to see them was because of their selfish behavior.Dora entered with a beautiful smile, clad in humility but her eyes told a different story. Mr and Mrs Stack entered the office, making themselves comfortable. It was still their daughter's office so what could go wrong?"Susan, we missed you. That is why we are here to see how you are doing. We would have come to your home but the security is so tight, it will be impossible to do so without your permission," Mr Stack said, just as Mrs Stack added,"So you can introduce us to your security to allow us access to visit you more o

55 - Her parents request was just a drop in the ocean for him

Andrew received information from a verified source that Clover West had joined forces with some of Andrew’s enemies to fight the Crowns. West had been bailed and was doing everything possible to not go to prison. Andrew had called Susan severally but she hadn’t answered because she was in a meeting by then.Since it was an important matter, he thought of coming over to her office. Ofcourse, he missed her too. Reaching the reception, he asked to see his fiancé and the receptionist looked lost till he mentioned Susan. It was then he realized that Susan hadn’t made their relationship known to her colleagues.Susan felt guilty because of how disappointed Andrew looked but she wasn’t hiding it because she didn’t love him but the fact that she didn’t want everything given to her on a plate of gold. That’s how things would turn out if her relationship with Andrew was found out.She pursed her lips, stood on her feet, and said remorsefully, “Andy, it’s not what you think.”Seeing how saddened

56 - You better don't fuck her

“Darling, are you alright?” Andrew held Susan in his arms and asked worriedly but got no response. Her eyes were closed, her face pale and her brows beaded with sweat. Everyone at the meeting were shocked as one of them regained himself and asked,“Sir, should we call an ambulance?”Andrew had already lifted Susan carefully in his arms. “That will be too late. I will take her to the hospital myself.” Andrew sped towards the door and halted annoyingly at the next question.“What about the meeting?” One of the directors asked him. Susan was a staff so the CEO doesn’t have to be so worked up to take her to the hospital himself. An ambulance should have been the best option. Meanwhile, Andrew wasn’t ready to allow anyone else to take care of Susan. He would rather delegate his official duties.“It’s my responsibility to take care of my fiancé,” he said coldly. The director was taken aback and didn’t speak anymore. “Greg will take care of this meeting,” Andrew said, and rushed out of the c

57 - You know what happens when you don’t give a woman what she wants

Greg smiled and shook his head. Just like Andrew, he wouldn't make a promise he couldn't keep. Mia was a very attractive woman and the only thing that stopped him from hitting on her was because of the relationship he had with Andrew. Now that he proposed to her on impulse, he was studying her quite well and knew that he wouldn't refuse when given the chance. "What if she asks for it?" He teased Andrew, as Andrew turned red from anger. "Greg?" His voice hinted a warning, as Greg proceeded to say, "You know what happens when you don't give a woman what she wants. What if another man gives it to her? Look at it critically, my intentions are pure. I want to marry her. If I don't give her what she wants, another man might steal her from me." With that, he made his intention known that he wasn't going to obey Andrew this time. Andrew could relate. If he hadn't slept with Susan that night, someone else would have done it in his stead."Greg, just get out of my office." Greg laughed and

58 - Her trust made him feel that she didn’t love him.

Caroline’s eyes emitted penance. Why did she have to tell Susan, especially when she knew her condition, that Andrew had called off the wedding? "I'm sorry, Miss Stack, I thought you knew already. I didn't mean to upset you." Susan was quiet. So quiet it was deafening. She seemed lost and too shocked to move her lips. Did Andrew lift and pamper her just to drop her into a pool of shame? What about his seed which she carried in her womb? Her silence made Caroline so uncomfortable that she feared. "Miss Stack, if Mr Crown called off the wedding without first breaking up with you, then it's not fair." Susan was still dazed. How could Andrew do this when she hadn’t wronged him? His words were always sincere, his eyes honest. Thinking over it again, she couldn't believe that he did not. Yet, another thought about it again, and again, she confirmed that it wasn't Andrew. Perhaps one of his exes or enemies. Susan convinced herself that Andrew was innocent and as such, she slowly relaxed.

59 - I want her exposed.

Reluctantly, Letty brought out her phone but Andrew had more in store for her. She could call the media house later to inform them that the call was made under duress, and cancel the wedding again. Therefore, Andrew said, "No mum, I will draft a letter for you to sign. It will also be Sealed with the family seal so that you will be relieved from the authority of vetoing." Letty's eyes dulled. It was such a shame that her son treated her like a felon nd it was all because of Susan. She was more and more embittered. "Andrew, you don't trust me?" Andrew was direct. "I know that you don't like Susan. I'm just covering my back and don't worry. I will leave her in the hands of Greg, Mia, and her good friends. They will move into my home temporarily to take care of Susan." Letty realized that she couldn't get a way around her son. He had grown smarter and smarter. If he had allowed her to take care of Susan, then she would have found a way to get rid of the fetus in Susan's womb. The ear

60 - I don’t want the engagement anymore.

"Mia, are you alright?" Her booker asked her, while staring suspiciously at the way Greg held her in his arms. If he hadn’t seen how it happened, he would have concluded that it was a planned romantic move. The concerned audience sighed satisfactorily, when the camera settled on Mia, showing she was ok."Yes, I'm fine," Mia smiled and said. She only realized that it wasn’t a natural force that caused her fall by what Andrew and Greg said. The other models were already walking back so she had to go change as well. However, exposing Sandra could destroy Sandra’s modelling career for a long time if not forever. "Can you give me a minute?" She asked her booker, who eyed them curiously before saying, “not more than a minute." After that, he walked away relieved.Mia pleaded with Greg. "Don't expose her, Greg, just let it go." "No. Do you know what would have happened if I hadn't caught you in time? You could have broken a leg, an arm or even gotten a scare on your beautiful face. That wo
