The plane lands in New Zealand and we are driven straight to our luxurious hotel suite, tucked away in a rainforest. We enter our suite and place our suitcases on the king-sized bed, taking in the luxurious room. The bed has been made up with red silk sheets and it’s covered in freshly-picked rose petals.In the kitchen, we find a large, fresh, fruit platter, a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates. We walk back into the bedroom and enter the large ensuite, complete with a spa.We open two double doors and step out onto the balcony where the view of the rainforest is breathtaking. I squint and just make out the city in the distance. We stand quietly and smile at each other, listening to the sounds of waterfalls, and different birds chirping. Four months laterIt’s the weekend of the baby shower. Cleo, Cora, Ruby, Lana, Carol, Emma, Tracy and June arrive. They are so excited and squeal at our huge bellies. Martin brings out trays of food for us to nibble on while Belinda makes sure we all have lemonade, water and juice. Jack is sitting beside Hailey, and Ace is beside me on another sofa, next to them.We play a few games and the girls insist we start opening the gifts.
