“She needs to rest,” the pack doctor said to Beta Ivan. Beta Ivan stole glances at me before looking back to the pack doctor. “Thank you. You may now go,” he said in a gentle voice. The doctor smiled a little at him and glanced at me before leaving the room. At that moment, Beta Ivan sighed and approached my direction. He sat on the vacant chair near my bed and stared at me. His face seemed filled with concern. I did not know what I had done to make him kind like this toward me. If he did not come earlier, I did not know what would happen to me next. Maybe, I was going to pass out in the hallway bruised and naked. That was somehow embarrassing. “Drink this. This might help you to feel better,” he said in concern and extended his right hand, holding a cup of, I guess, tea. Feeling grateful, I looked at his eyes first in tears.
