~ New York City, 2002~ It was Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year! New York City's streets were decked out with stunning lights and plants. Stephanie stood in front of the Rockefeller Center plaza, marveling at the gorgeous Christmas tree. Thousands of light bulbs were used to ornament the tree, which was capped with a new Swarovski star. Stephanie's wavy black hair flowed loosely on her shoulders as she gazed up and stared at the star with a big smile on her face. She kept her arms crossed under her Beige sweater to keep warm.A red turtleneck and white palazzo trousers were worn underneath the sweater. She accessorized her look with a Saint Laurent medium sunset shoulder bag and a Saint Laurent lace-up boot. Water vapor streamed out of her nostrils as she breathed out. She let out a big exhale, and more water vapor from her mouth. As she stared at the lightbulbs, she became lost in thought. Her mind drifted back to her most recent Christmas Eve in New York City. "I'm getting a whiff of chocolate muffins!" Stephanie heard the loud and cheerful voice of her 5-year-old sister in her living room. She hurriedly removed the chocolate muffin microwave tray from the oven and set it on the tiled kitchen cabinet. With her apron on, she ran into the living room, removing the oven mitts from her hands."Mom, Dad!" She exclaimed. She rushed to them, and they both hugged her. They all giggled, and as soon as they disengaged, Princess jumped down from Sebastian’s arm. She dashed over to Stephanie and jumped on her like she had Sebastian. "My little Princess," She said. Stephanie laughed as she threw her up in the air. She gave her a firm hug and a kiss on the cheek."Mom, she's so plump now." Princess blushed, and she sheepishly covered her face in Stephanie's shoulder. Everyone in the room burst out laughing at her reaction. “Where is Mary?” Stephanie looked around for her other sibling. Stephanie was born ten years after Mary was born. "She dash

THE NEXT MORNINGStephanie’s body was fully tucked in her duvet, the cold weather was her favorite. Princess hopped into Stephanie’s room. She got to the bed and climbed up carefully. She climbed on top of Stephanie and laid down flat on her. "Stephanie, get up!" It's 7:00 a.m. When I arrived in New York, you promised to tour me around the city. I'm here now, and you are still sleeping.” She held Stephanie and pouted her lips as she hugged her through the covers. “Princess...” Stephanie grumbled. She cautiously turned to lay on her back so as not to toss Princess off the bed. She drew a hand from under the duvet and held Princess to herself. Princess burst out laughing and kissed Stephanie on the cheek.“Good morning Steph! "It's already 7 a.m." "Princess, we're on vacation." I don't have to wake up at 7 am.” Stephanie gently touched Princess's sparse gold hair. As she did this, her eyes were still closed. "Stephanie, you promised to take me out. Open your eyes,” She tapped St

Owen stopped searching after a while. He thought he had seen someone he knew but was mistaken. He held his four-year-old son and walked out of the park. “The woman you bumped into, what did she look like?” He asked his son, Tyler. “She was pretty, and she had black hair.” Tyler childishly explained and Owen sighed. He couldn't blame him for not giving a precise description. He was just four. He held Tyler’s hand and walked to his car. “What took you so long? I saw you searching for something in there.” His wife Rebecca said to him after he entered the car. She sat in the front seat with their little daughter, Darla. Darla was almost a year old. “I thought I saw someone,” Owen responded, starting the car. “Is it her?” Owen heaved a sigh and looked at Rebecca. “Why would you even think about that?” “I don't know, I should ask you that. Since we got into Manhattan, you have been acting differently.” “Rebecca, please don't. It’s almost a year since I set my eyes on her.” “Well,

Sebastian drove down to the Velocity driving race track. The race track had very full LED lights that covered the whole place. It was like daytime. Immediately the other racers saw him approaching, they began to yell and wave their hands. Sebastian giggled as he drove to them. “Why are they so excited?” Stephanie asked, grinning widely. “They are all my friends. I would do the same for any one of them.” “So you love each other so much even though you compete?” “Yes, Stephanie. There is no award for the winner. We race for fun.” They got to where his friends were and he parked the car with the other cars. Some of them wore jumpsuits and some wore casual sportswear. “Who is in the car with him?” Robbie, Sebastian’s very good friend, asked no one in particular. He narrowed his gaze as he watched them alight. They all raised their brows immediately and set their eyes on Stephanie. “Ooouuu... She is damn hot!” His male friends uttered, folding their hands in circles over their mouth
