90. Witches Could Fly?

Tiana approached the griffin. It has the same eye color as Yalck, but the vividness was different. Its body was large but not like Yalck and dark brown with hint of white. "Do you have a name?" Tiana asked as she touched the griffin neck. The griffin did not make any sounds and just crouched down in satisfaction, as though it was enjoying Tiana’s touch. "She does not have a name, princess." Yael informed Tiana. "She? How did you know this griffin is a 'she'?" "The female are larger than the male and has hint of white on them. That indicates the it is a female." Yael explained. "I see… why doesn't she have a name?" Tiana then asked, curious. "Because unlike Yalck, this griffin is not an ancient one. I told you previously that Yalck was the only one who survived back in that war, right?" Yael said, "This griffin, including the others, except Yalck were still in their eggs when the queen killed off all living creatures that day with her flame.” “The griffin eggs were wrapped with s

91. Leaving The Castle

Tiana bit her lower lips. So that was why Xyla suddenly took off to the skies before she could even command her. It seems it was her instinct that made her fly to the sky as soon as her rider was seated on her back."What should I do now then?" she asked Yael, her expression now calm even though Xyla was still flying about aimlessly and somewhat a little unsteadily."Just do the same thing you did when you called for it! Imagine yourself being inside the griffin, as if your body and her body are one. Picture the two of you melding into one unit until you are seeing what she is seeing too. Then tell her to land on the spot your eyes are focusing on."Tiana immediately did as Yael instructed and on the first and second try, she failed. But she immediately tried again and with this third try, the griffin finally landed on the ground.Dalton was so worried that he immediately jumped to help her climb off the griffin’s back. All that time he had his heart in his mouth when he saw the princ

Yael’s eyes grew wide as the werewolf that she remembered to have left to stir her soup suddenly seized her by the arms and pinned her on the sand beneath her. In his rush, Dalton’s action of pinning Yael down as he pushed her against the tree was a little rougher than he had intended, thus she winced as she was held down. She had early on noticed his presence since she crossed the castle's gate, but she had ignored it since she understood that the werewolf might have decided to follow after her to make sure she did not escape. And that was why Yael did not try to do anything and even acted as though she had not felt his presence at all. However, she decided to turn around for a look when she felt him suddenly coming too close, too fast. And now, she was shocked that the werewolf had suddenly seized her. The most shocking thing was that he even looked quite angry, his eyes dangerously intense, and his grip on her arms were strong and firmer than necessary."If you're trying to escape…

93. Blame Her

Back in the castle, Tiana was deep asleep and was still immersed in her dream. She started to move about and make soft sounds in her sleep. If anyone was near would could hear her uttering her husband’s name. Anyone who hear her would feel sympathy for her as she didn’t know if her husband was dead or alive though in her dream he was alive and was somewhere. That was the sound Dalton heard after they had come from their fishing, he felt bad for the princess as he knew that his princess was always having dream since they escaped from silver moon and all the dreams was about her husband. He too missed his wife, he didn’t know if she was alive or dead or even if she thinks of him as dead or alive.Dalton was worried every time he hear her calling for the prince in her dreams because it seemed as though her dream was not truly a dream but a nightmare. However, when the princess assured them that the prince was well and alive, they were relieved. But still, they could not help but wonder a

94. Phoenix Fire

When everyone was gathered around the table with Tiana sitting at head seat as it was the seat Yael led her to, everyone started on their dinner. For the first time in a long time, they all finally ate at a decent table, under a roof. And now, with an addition of a new member to the team too though one was missing but with her highness around, Rex will be with them soon.Tiana’s attention immediately fell on all the fresh fish roasted, stewed and boiled looking delicious and eyed it with much interest. Seeing where the princess' focus fell on the table, Yael merrily rattled off how she went fishing in the lake and how she loves this cooking style and passed the bowl to Tiana to have a taste of them. After tasting the different type of cooked fish held out to her, Tiana found them to be incredibly delicious and even encouraged Dalton to try it. Though she knew that the werewolves were not fan of fish or white meat, she still urged him to try with sparkling eyes. Looking at the princess

95. Bring You Back

Yael motioned Tiana to come into the circle drawn on the floor and lie down, that was where she will perform a spell that will cast Tiana soul out of her body and the open the gate to land of soul before sending Tiana in.After Tiana took her position, Dalton also did the same and the Yael place her hand on Dalton’s hand, then uttered a spell, Dalton could feel the power being drained out his body and his eye turned golden yellow. When Yael felt that strong power oozing through their connection she started the spell process.“Sofrnetu frnili ye pifrnioi” she uttered and Tiana immediately lost consciousness and her transparent self would be seen coming out of her body. Dalton was shocked and amazed by what he saw, was this what happened to him when they practiced on him? Did her soul come out this way too? He felt fear creeping into him. This was hell scary. Not leaving the circle, Yael uttered another spell, “fryotuce liertu emfrfrra lifr liertu land frde pifrnioi.” The moment those

Rex parent were convincing him not to leave them, which type of parent could do so? And from Rex’s expression it seemed like he was in a dilemma on what to do more so when his mother was crying her eyes out.“Mum, I too don’t want to leave you but I can’t also leave Sky alone, she is still young and cannot survive on her own, mum, so please don’t cry we will meet some day too but now I have to go back to Sky,” that was what Tiana heard when she was approaching rex parents and those words worked like magic is like they all cared for their baby girl and were willing to let rex go back. Tiana was embarrassed the she judged them early, they were no bad parent they just love their son and loved their daughter too. Time was running out they only had 20 seconds till the gate close so after Rex bid goodbye to his parents, they stated running toward the gate.No one saw the soul that had been following Tiana all along and it was also keeping up with the speed like it wanted to talk to Tiana.

97. Exhaustion

Tiana had called on Xyla again as she wanted to make sure she would be able to fully control her. She had managed to call the same griffin with her intense concentration at once. Then they were up in the sky again, circling the immediate area. The next moment, everyone on the ground saw the griffin releasing tornado in the sky, sweeping through the desolate land."She's controlling it! The princess did it! This is amazing" Rex exclaimed, seeing that the griffin releasing tornado towards the forest to avoid hurting them who were gathered right below. Rex was amazed by what he saw her highness could now ride on griffin and even control them? What had he missed when he died?"Yes, I think the princess already learned how to control the griffin. when you were gone she came and saved me from the savage ogres… by that time I had lost one arm but now look…" Dalton said, not taking his eyes off her as he shows his right arm to Rex.Rex was amazed at what her highness had done so far, since he

98. Fail

Looking up the sky as she leaned her head back along the edge of a slab of the smooth stone surrounding the small lagoon, Tiana let out a long and deep sigh. She was starting to feel worried. What if she could not control the other griffins within the limited time that they had? What if it was only Xyla that she could manage to control? She really needed the cooperation and strength of all the griffin here if she wanted to successfully achieve her lofty goals. It was then that negative thoughts began to flood Tiana’s mind. She wanted all the griffins. She wanted to control all of them. Xyla alone was not enough. Was the power boost she got from the previous queen not enough? If she wanted to stand against an enemy like the Drektus queen, she must be able to control more than just one lone griffin – and such a small one at that. If possible, she was aiming for the lot of them, most especially Yalck – the ancient griffin itself. When she was able to do that, it was only then that she wo

99. Challenging

Everyone cheered her up, but Tiana was becoming more and more agitated. There were only three griffins left and Tiana could not help but fear if these three will also be hard to control and she would fail again. The day was ending when she called for the next griffin. It was yet another female but she was the smallest among all the female she had called. "Malin," Tiana said, and she spent the rest of the day trying to control it.The men and Yael could see her struggling in her efforts. They had been giving each other looks for a while now. All of them had wanted to tell her that she must not push herself too much. But none of them could speak out as they could see how hard she was trying and how desperate she looked. They did not have the heart to interrupt her and tell her to rest. At the same time, they did not know their princess could be this incredibly persistent and stubborn. She truly reminded them of someone. Their prince.Tiana was biting her lower lip in frustration as she
