Frankie POV As I walk to the training grounds. I am caught up in thoughts about the meeting with Alpha Hollis. Guy is a total dick and so is his son. Still not sure why he was even at the meeting today. Maybe daddy was teaching him how to be absurd. I mean who uses their daughter mating to propose an alliance? Probably more than I realize, he doesn’t really seem smart enough to come up with that himself. I would never do that to a child of mine. Besides, she’s probably ugly or a total bitch or something. Nikki POV I felt a shadow come over me and when I opened my eyes I saw the object of my affection standing over me with an unreadable look on his face. So I sat up and said, “Hi.” He was just looking down at me and I couldn’t help but stare at his chest while he breathed in and out. His muscles are on display in all their glory. “Hello Little Bee.” Frankie said and gave a half smile. Then he continued, “You know it isn’t safe to be out here alone with the recent rogue issues.” Frankie himself looked a little dangerous at the moment and I couldn’t help but think ‘Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf’. I tilted my head to the side while looking up at him and said, “I wasn’t going to be here once the sun starts to set. But I can handle myself pretty well.” “You’re good at hand to hand Nikki, better than a lot, but you still haven’t shifted and if a rogue snuck up on you, you’d probably be killed,” he responded. “Why Alpha, I didn’t know you cared so much.” I said trying to sound sarcast

Frankie POV The area at the north east corner of the territory was a bloody mess. The ground was already littered with bodies, some faces I recognized. I can see dad’s wolf Thunder fighting off 2 rogues, so I charge in that direction. I rammed my head into the side of the first one, knocking him to the ground and leaped on him clamping my fangs around his neck. I increased the pressure until I felt the life drain from his body. Before I could move, I was tackled by 3 rogues at once. An excruciating pain ran through my hind leg and I could feel the flesh being torn apart. I rolled so I could get underneath one of the rogues, so that I could use my claws to rip open his underbelly. I was able to relieve that wolf of his innards and able to shake off one of my attackers. Lehr pounced on my remaining attacker, with the third rogue removed, I was able to counter the attack on the second rogue clamping my fangs around his throat and shaking until I could hear a snap that rendered him lifele

Nikki POV The day after the attack was pretty uneventful. I went with Luna Fran to visit the families that lost loved ones in the battle. It was amazing to see all that she did for each family. And what she did was separate from the Alpha, he and Frankie had been out early in the morning offering condolences and assistance to pack members who are grieving. The Alpha and Luna truly do support the pack in all ways possible. I never really thought much about it in all honesty. Though I do recall when dad died in the rogue attack that Alpha Kieran and Luna Fran had been there for mom and I when we needed it most. If the Moon Goddess blessed me with Frankie as my mate, I would have to do these things too. I think I like that idea really. Right now I am heading to the Alpha mansion, nervous as hell, but I wanted to see Frankie. We haven’t seen each other since before the attack and well, let's just say I have touched myself plenty thinking about his face buried between my thighs. Oh God

Nikki POV “Knock, Knock, ghost bitch!” Jonas said as he opened my front door and walked right in. “Hey, was that really necessary? What do you mean by ghost?” I said as I walked into the living room finishing my messy bun while looking for my knee boots. “You have been conspicuously out of touch the last couple of days” Jonas said with a whine. “First, don’t whine Jonas, it isn't manly. Second, I don't spend all my spare time with you anyway, so what is your damage Louise?” I replied, making Jonas roll his eyes. “Well biotch, inquiring minds want to know what’s up with you riding Kolt to the pack house?” Jonas said while wiggling his eyebrows. “What are you, my mother or jealous?” I replied with as much snark as possible. “You know it isn’t like that. Frankie just doesn’t do it for me. But I can clearly see he does it for you, so spill the tea already.” Jonas replied exasperated. “I was by the river laying on the boulder thinking and catching the last of the sun for the day. Fran
