Chapter 51: Restoration
ERIKA'S POV The pack had been a different place for me for the past few weeks. Restoration of the building and damaged facilities had gradually begun. The pack was having a new face. But not only that, my relationship with the other wolves had taken a new turn as well. All the wolves who used to see me as a threat before now wanted to cling close to me. Even my colleagues at work had changed when I visited them. Though they still called me Erika, they seemed to have reverence for me now as someone worthy of being their Luna. "Miss Erika!" A bunch of kids came rushing at me. "My daddy says you were the hero during the previous war. Was it true?" One of them asked. I chuckled nervously. "I can't say," I returned to their curious ears. "It's rather the work of all of our brave warriors fighting together." The actual thing was that I couldn't remember if I had done any such thing as save anybody or fight during that battle. "You're so gorgeous. I'll like to be one of your closest se

Chapter 52: I did it!
KILLIAN'S POV There had been an explosion at one of the gas stations belonging to our pack in the human world. The companies were set up in such a way that they kept passing on from alpha to alpha. Each time an alpha's reign ended for some reason, the next alpha goes with our unique alpha seal to claim the company. All the staff knew was that the company owner had changed. Only the branch managers who were from our pack, but living in the human world knew what really happened behind the scenes. The damages were fatal, but no life was lost as the workers had been in a staff meeting when a damaged cable started giving off electric sparks. The government demanded that we paid for carelessness and compensate the affected neighbors. Coupled with the reconstruction going on in the pack, it was going to be a terrific week for me. No rest at all. Our park needed so many sources of income and that gas station was one of the biggest. We consumed thrice what normal humans consumed, so we didn

Chapter 53: Screw it all!
ERIKA'S POV "The fact that you make someone as strong as Trevor terrified, has me wondering what exactly is this wolf inside of you is," Killian said to me. "I didn't mean to," I complained. "I don't know what came over me, but I suddenly started enjoying the battle, and then gut mad at them when they couldn't keep up." "Your wolf was controlling you," He sighed. Then his eyes widened all of a sudden, "but, wait! You remember everything that happened, right? There's nothing you're forgetting?" "At the battlefield— yes. There's nothing I'm forgetting," I said to him. "Her wolf is scared of her getting hurt," Killian's wolf spoke. "I heard that," I said to him. "You heard what?" "Her wolf is scared of her getting hurt," I quoted Alek, mimicking his deep grumbling voice. Then back to my normal voice, "I heard it." "You heard Alek. Whoa. This is surprising," he said. "Matter of fact, I've been hearing you guys discussing at night for the past three or four days," I added. "I'm

Chapter 54: Take this back
KILLIAN'S POV The violent clank of their metal swords directed my ear to where they were training. I stopped for a second when I saw Erika charging at Ari with full force. There was no way in this world her sword skill could match Ari's at this point; not when she hadn't even trained up to a month. But her slash did pack some weight. I confessed when I saw Ari's feet shift back as she blocked Erika's attack. But it took Ari just two blows on Erika's stomach with the helm of her sword before Erika came falling to the earth, holding her belly. "I'm impressed," I began clapping for them. Erika glanced up at me as if in suspicion of my arrival. "What are you here for?" "Can I see you for a moment?" I asked Ari. Ari nodded and followed me to a corner. "Something has come up again. I need you to go to the human world to spy on someone for me. I'll give you the details at home," I said to her. I turned around immediately and Erika was behind me with her arms folded. "No!" I heard he

Chapter 55: Our Nature
ERIKA'S POV Ari was gone the next morning. I started the day by preparing myself for a morning jog. I dressed up in a pink tracksuit and wore a pair of white sneakers to match. Wearing a black headphone that Killian had bought for me over my head, I covered it with the hood of my tracksuit and was ready to go jogging. The smell of stewed pork danced into my nose as I raced downstairs. I decided to take a sneak peek into the kitchen first. I found Lerah doing what she knew how to do best. The stew bubbled as the large chunks of meat stood in place cooking. "I wonder if I'll ever see someone else in his world who can cook better than you," I said from behind Lerah as I walked into the kitchen. "Oh, Erika!" She gasped at first. "Good morning." "Good morning, the best cook in the whole wide world," I said to her. Her cheeks reddened immediately. She couldn't hide it. "I see you're off for a morning exercise," she said, her eyes gazing at me from head to toe like I was being scann

Chapter 56: Congratulations
KILLIAN'S POV As I had promised Erika, I made out time and began training her myself. She was smart to assimilate all the fighting techniques I taught her. Among the three weapons, I taught her to use, the sword was her favorite. She loved that feeling of the hilt of the sword rotating in her palm as she swung it. On the third week of training her, the moment my sword clashed with hers, I knew there was something different about Erika now. In that single instance, her fierce gaze fell on mine as our swords crossed, I could sense the ferocity of a female wolf, not from her wolf but her rather. She was ready to control that beast now. Only a diamond breaks a diamond. "Congratulations, Erika. You're ready to traverse to the ethereal realm and conquer your wolf," I said to her. For a brief moment, she looked like she couldn't believe what I had just told her. "Tell me you're joking," she said, her eyes welling up with tears. I withdrew my sword and stabbed it into the ground. "You

Chapter 57: Recovery
ERIKA'S POV My eyes opened to see the pack doctor wrapping his equipment, ready to leave the temple of the fallen. "Killian," I groaned. "Erika," he gasped softly. "How do you feel?" "I still feel some pains," I confessed, "but my fever is gone." "Alright," he said, stretching out his hand to me, "take my hand. We've had enough for today. Tomorrow, we'll try again." I compelled my muscles to lift my hands which felt heavy. He gently pulled me up and hoisted me up to his back. Following the doctor, Killian walked off the temple with me on his back. He dropped me on my bed when we got to the house. It was still midday, so he opened my window for better ventilation. He was about to leave when he came to an abrupt stop, and all of a sudden turned around. "Can you reach me through the mind link?" He asked, curious like he had a hunch of that being possible. "No," I spoke listlessly. "Have you tried it?" "No." "Okay. In case you need anything, knock twice on your bed. I'll heig

Chapter 58: I'm your alpha
KILLIAN'S POV What in the name of the godde— Alek had woken me up from my nap. "Look, Killian," he said. "What in the name of the godde—" "Behold, your mate has tamed her wolf," Alek shut me up. "No way! Hell no! This can't be real. I'm dreaming, right? Alek?" "I was watching her while you slept," Alek remarked. "She has the determination of a leopard." I marveled at the white werewolf standing before me in the temple. She looked nothing like any other I'd seen before. Though she stood still at a place. It seemed was still struggling to get acquainted with the transformation. Suddenly, she shrunk back to her human form and melted on the floor, her breathing tattered. I noticed a smile of victory on her face, despite how exasperated she was. "You can rest now," I said to her, hoisting her into my arms. The main thing had been achieved now. All other training was minor and could be done by herself. Alek was flustered with happiness as I took Erika back to the house. There

Chapter 59: Five Hours
KILLIAN’s POV After I had helped Ari quench her desires that night, she suddenly became embarrassed. "This never happened between us, remember that," she said. I chuckled slightly, "I was about to tell you that." The window was open and the shimmery light of the moon penetrated the window to light the room up a bit. I was in between using night vision and my normal vision. But the gentle sea breeze was a relief for our bodies after the intense body exchange we had made. "So what do you want me to do for you?" She grumbled, still embarrassed that I had just had sex with her. It had me wondering if it was her wolf who made that seductive request from me. "It's about Erika's school," I said. "I want you to go to the human world and scout for a school for supernaturals where Erika can study." "There should be quite a few out there. Why not attend here?" She inquired. "As I told you, it was a promise. I promised she could return to school in the human world, and I want to keep to it

Chapter 60: Adventure
KILLIAN'S POV Two days later, I let Erika go on her first adventure outside her park. I assigned a group of seven scouts as her guards. They were wolves whom I could rest assured of her safety in their hands. With Erika out and the seven scouts accompanying her, I went off to the human world with the information Ari had given me to check out the schools she had suggested for Erika. The schools in the supernatural world weren't as equipped as the ones in the human world. As wolves, we tended to not fully welcome technology and human advancements. Not all of us showed this tendency, but some strongly despised technology, seeing it as something which damaged nature. They wouldn't let schools get built in their packs cause trees were felled in other to make papers. The first school on the list of four was a pure werewolf school, but it was run by witches. It was located in a desert in the human world but made invisible and intangible to the normal eyes by the witches' magic. "No," I s
