DRAX'S POVI quickly pulled the girls out of the open view to the back of the two-storey building."How on earth did they get here before us?" I looked around, and that was when I saw clearly our pictures were all over the town. There was a coffee shop next to the inn building that had glass walls in front of the building. I peeked into the shop and my eye caught the television hanging up on the wall.My heart banged as I saw what was being displayed on the screen. It was the news, and I and Rissa's pictures were boldly plastered on the screen, announcing us as dangerous fugitives. From what was being displayed on the news, it seemed like our bounty had been increased to twenty-five million dollars.I facepalmed as I realized our mistake. How could we have expected to find solace in a land that was also controlled by our enemy? My uncle has monopolized the media, the power... everything. He made the people poor, thereby making himself the richest person around here. So, I'm not surpri

DRAX'S POVThe next morning I woke up in a jolt, checking my surroundings to make sure I haven't gone on a rampage.Thankfully, I was still in human form. Before going to bed, I was worried about sleeping inside the room. Although I bolted the door, and closed all the windows, I'm pretty sure that if my wolf wanted to break down the door and rampage through the entire town, no one would be able to stop him. After I woke up, I got myself cleaned up, and then I put on my disguise and went down to the reception area to get some cups of coffee, scrambled eggs, and some buns for breakfast in a tray. The breakfast was purposely to let the girls know that I'm no longer mad at them after the stunt they pulled last night.I was so worried last night. I thought something bad had happened to her. Rissa is my responsibility, and if anything happened to her, I wouldn't forgive myself.Though their actions were dangerous and unreasonable, I just have to let go so we could move on. We have to come

RISSA'S POV"I was scared mom..." Lily dropped the phone and wailed because she couldn't continue to go down memory lane. I felt the agony and despair in her tears.Drax picked up the phone and talked to Mrs Rebecca. "Hello, Mrs Rebecca... We need your help.""Is my Lily ok?" Mrs Rebecca asked."She's fine, ma'am. She's just feeling a little emotional right now. But we need you to do something for us. It's very important, and it may be the only chance you'll have in seeing your daughter again." Drax adviced. The environment went silent for a moment, then Drax continued. "We need you to be our eyes inside the palace. As you know, Alpha Damian has been a thorn in the flesh of all werewolves... So we need to find a way to take him down before he completely destroys the entire packs.Mrs Rebecca hesitated for a second, then she said to Drax. "How can I trust you?! The entire pack is looking for you. Why did you murder members of the pack? How can I be sure you're not the villain? How do I

RISSA'S POVIt didn't take Lily too long to return to her usual energetic and witty personality.Although, I have a feeling that the big cup of ice cream I got for her from the ice cream shop across the street had a big hand in her quick recovery. After the call, she was still a bit moody and wouldn't speak to anyone.I remembered seeing an ice cream shop somewhere in the next street, so I snuck out of the inn and got everyone a large cup. When Drax saw me return with several bags of ice cream, his face squeezed in and his eyes twitched in anger. I think he was feeling sour because I disobeyed the explicit instruction he gave us the previous night about not leaving the room for any reason whatsoever. His jaw hung low as he gave me that long blank stare of disapproval while I walked into the room and sat on the bed.He was about to protest when I quickly opened up one ice-cream cup and shoved a spoonful into his mouth, making him swallow his words alongside the ice cream.Lily bursted

RISSA'S POVSoon enough, I was able to get rid of the guilt that had made it's way into my chest. Well actually, there was no way that guilt would have remained there. It didn't even stand a chance. The environment we were in was no place for sadness or guilt. After the terrifying—yet awesome, roller coaster ride of doom, I couldn't find a trace of any other emotions, apart from petrifying horror and exhilarating ecstasy mixed together. For the record, I'll pick this option a thousand times and over if asked to choose between amusement park and rotting in that monotonous inn all day. No matter the consequences. "Oh God! I haven't had this much fun in fucking ages." I screamed immediately we stepped out of the roller coaster cars, unable to hide my excitement.Thankfully, this city of ruins still had something interesting to offer. Something that adds life to the already dying city.Something to make the already impoverished people happy, and forget their problems. To me that sounds l
