My Guardian Alpha

DRAX'S POV

I didn't know if she was my rightful mate, but I had to do as I was told. At this point, I just had to nod and agree with whatever my uncle told me to do, because he's the current leader of the pack. Besides, what do I know? I'm only a naive 21-year-old who knows nothing about pack traditions — well, that's what my uncle thinks. 

"This is the only way for you to get a mate and become eligible to lead the pack." Those were the words my uncle told me in order to convince me to have sex with the girl he brought in to be my mate.

Her name was Sonia. I didn't know who she was before now, or what pack she belonged to originally, but I sensed she was a rogue. My uncle, Damian had brought her to the pack two weeks ago to be my mate.

I didn't know everything, but I've studied the pack's tradition well enough to know that the correct procedure for finding the right mate was: When a werewolf shifted into his wolf form on his twentieth birthday, his wolf senses becomes extremely heightened, and he would be able to clearly perceive his mate's scent. He would immediately become drawn to the scent, and his wolf would follow that scent, and it would lead him on the right path to his find his mate. No matter how far the mate is, the wolf would continue following that scent until he finds her. 

"But uncle, you know my incidents have a higher chance of happening whenever I am aroused..." I said to my uncle as we stood outside the main entrance of the palace building.

My uncle knew that I had a problem — a problem which I'm clearly embarrassed about. 

"Just do it, or forfeit the position of Alpha. Just sleep with her, Drax. It's not that hard" my uncle ordered in a harsh voice. 

Of course I didn't want to forfeit my rightful place as the Alpha of the pack. My father, Peter Freling was the former Alpha of the Lunar dusk pack before he died. It has been the largest and most powerful of all the packs in the south region. We have the largest economy, compared to the other packs around.

Unfortunately, without a mate I wouldn't be able to take my rightful place as the Alpha of the Lunar dusk pack. Our tradition demanded that the succeeding Alpha must first find his mate before being proclaimed Alpha. Which meant I could be alpha until my twentieth birthday. If you ask me, I'd say that was a stupid rule. But unfortunately I couldn't go against it. 

I turned twenty three weeks ago. Conventionally, I should have found my mate by now, but because of my condition, It was impossible to find the mate choosen for me by the moon goddess.

It all started six years ago, when my father, the alpha, died. I lost control of my wolf. I couldn't shift at will and I couldn't communicate with my wolf. My wolf just springs up whenever he likes. Mostly when I'm very angry or injured or when I'm sexually aroused, or even when I'm in danger. I could stub my toe right now, and without my approval, my wolf would emerge with an uncontrollable rage. When that happens, everyone around me would be in danger because my wolf was aggressive and wild. One time when it happened, my wolf was so strong and violent, he attacked the pack, killed two person and even injured my younger brother in the process, nearly decapitating him. I felt so guilty and devastated.

Due to my inability to shift at will, on my twentieth birthday I didn't find my mate. Moreover, even if I did shift, I don't think my aggressive wolf was interested in finding a mate. My wolf was only interested in chaos and destruction. 

Weeks after my disappointing twentieth birthday, my uncle brought a beautiful girl to the palace named sonia. He said he wanted her to be my mate. Although I knew it wasn't the right way to get a mate, I didn't refuse because —

Well she was beautiful, and we'd just started getting along, so I just went with it. We talked and played together, and soon we became very close.

For some strange reason, my uncle was suddenly interested in getting me mated. Hence, his inquiry about if I'd mated with Sonia yet. After our conversation outside, I gave him my word that I'd sleep with her and more importantly, mate her. I could do this by simply biting into her neck with my fangs during sex.

With the new motivation I'd received, I went through the gigantic gates of the royal palace with new intentions to fuck Sonia. Damning the consequences whatsoever.

We were watching a movie before my uncle called me outside to have 'the talk' with me. 

I opened the door and she was still on my bed, focused on the movie. She was wearing a black, loose fitted camisole and a mini skirt. I shut the door behind me and walked closer to the bed, planning my next moves cautiously in my head.

"Oh, Drax. You're back..." she said to me with a smile that lit up the room.

Initially, I had second thoughts about having sex with her because she was not the mate assigned to me by the moon goddess and I didn't think I was doing the right thing going against werewolf tradition. Also, I was afraid I might have an incident. I mean, there were times when my wolf had emerged simply as a result of me having a boner.

But as I fixed my gaze on the hot, sexy blonde in front of me, all traces of logic and ethics evaporated swiftly from my mind.

Sonia was about 5'10" with a slender body like a model. She had golden blonde hair, a cute pointed nose, with glassy, ocean blue eyes, and the most perfect set of dentures I have ever seen. But besides her beauty, the thing I liked most about her, was her personality.

Since she arrived here two weeks ago, she has been so nice to me, and whenever I was with her, I never felt the stigma I have always gotten from the rest of my pack. For a very long time, I never had any friends because no one wanted to be friends with someone that could tear them to shreds in seconds for no reason. No one tried to console me or had any form of empathy toward me, except Barton, my father's Beta. He was the only one who cared how I and my younger brother were doing. The rest usually just stared at me awkwardly and looked away quickly whenever I returned the stare, like I was someone maniac terrorist.

But Sonia was different. Was it maybe because she didn't know me too well and was ignorant about how destructive I could become when I transformed? Even if that was the case, I'm still very sure she must have heard some rumours. Well, maybe what I needed was someone to have a fresh start with. Someone who would look beyond the rumors they heard about me. Someone who would grow to love me for who I am. And that person was Sonia.

I had grown to love her so much. 

"Yes, I'm back." I said and I turned around and locked the door behind me. I walked closer to the bed and climbed in with her. I sat down on the bed across her, crossed my legs, and stared deep into her soul.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Are you horny?" She said flirtatiously, with a hint of sarcasm. I blushed.

I felt a bit uneasy, but I knew she was only teasing me as she does occasionally. 

Sonia was not only kind and warm-hearted, she could also get pretty kinky and dirty. She loved flirting with me and teasing me. Sometimes it just made me shy because I was still a virgin, other times it turned me on. I'm sure she just loved to mock how uneasy I was whenever she flirted with me. She had a dual nature, and she could choose who she wanted to be at any time. I admired her because that was what I lacked in my life. I didn't know who I was anymore, and I was struggling to find myself. I couldn't control either versions of myself.

Hopefully, after I claim Sonia as my mate and take my place as the rightful Alpha of the pack, my personality disorder would be gone. All I needed to do now was have sex with Sonia and claim her, and she would be my mate forever. At least that was how my uncle explained it to me. He said since my case was peculiar, this was the only way I would be able to have a mate.

Well, good for me because I already love her and I can't wait for her to be my Luna. We would make beautiful kids and lead the pack together to greatness.

"Shhhh!" I shushed quietly, while I caressed her smooth, bare shoulder for a bit and slowly let down the strap of her camisole. She looked down at her bare shoulder, I gulped as a million emotions rushed through my mind. She raised her head and stared back at me as the erotic tension in the air increased drastically.

 We stared into each other's eyes for a long time, and I could see desire in her eyes and I knew that she too, could see the desire in my eyes. After our brief stare, she leaned forward and planted a short kiss on my lips somewhat timidly. She pursed her lips, waiting for my reaction. Then as though we could read each other's mind, we leaned forward simultaneously and our lips met in a long wet kiss. 

Our tongues danced passionately, fighting for territory inside each other's mouth. She dug her fingers into my hair and I clasped my hands around her neck, leaving her with short breathless moans of pleasure. We made out for a long time, swallowing each other's tongue with reckless abandon. Then she started to undo the buttons on my shirt.

I flicked the other strap of her loosely fitted camisole off her shoulder causing it the fall quickly to the ground with the help of gravity. Her smooth, round breasts  popped out, immediately catching my attention as she wasn't wearing any bra underneath her camisole. 

She finished undoing all the buttons on my shirt and in a swift motion, I slid the shirt off my body revealing my muscular physique. Her eyes widened as her eyes swept over the muscles on my chest and stomach. We broke the kiss gasping for air. 

"Wow!!!" she said, caressing my chiseled chest. Then she climbed on my laps, straddling her legs around my waist and locking her arms around my neck.

My cock hardened, and I could feel the tip nudging against her already wet entrance. Only the fabric of my boxers prevented me from sliding directly into her pussy.

It was my wolf. 

I was shifting.

Shiny grey hairs sprang out of my skin. The canines of my teeth grew longer, turning into fangs. My fingers morphed and turned into claws—

In a matter of seconds, I had completely shifted into my wolf.

Sonia fell backwards to the bed, scared. I could see it in her eyes, but I couldn't do anything. I wasn't in control. I was caged. There was no communication between me and my wolf.

"Drax!!!" She screamed in fear as she inched backward, trying to find a way of escape.

Realizing what was happening, she ran towards the door to escape, but it was locked. Before she could open it, my wolf caught her on the leg, and flung her across the room and she landed on the wall and fell to the ground.

She knew that I wasn't in control, and my wolf could tear her to pieces in seconds, so she shifted into her wolf in an attempt to defend herself and hopefully escape my destruction. But her wolf was no match for mine. I was an Alpha. The son of an Alpha, and Alpha's were usually the biggest and strongest wolves in the pack. No one could match my dominance. Usually, when my wolf sprang up, it would take about six of the strongest wolves in the pack to pin me down and put me in a cage before I shifted back to my human form.

It was impossible for Sonia to defeat my wolf. She howled in distress, probably trying to signal others to come to her rescue. My wolf pounced on her and tried to grab her neck, but she flinched to the side in time. She knew she needed to attack else she'd be dead before anyone came to her rescue. So she attacked and bit my wolf's front left leg. My wolf howled in pain and struck her jaw with his right paw, and she fell flat to the side.

Just then, we heard the sound of people knocking on the door. But it was too late. My wolf pounced on her and mauled her terribly, breaking her neck in the process. There was no strength left in her anymore, so she shifted back to her human form and dropped dead.

There was still a lot of heavy banging on the door. I think they were trying to break it down, having realized what was going on inside. My wolf was still hostile, so he charged towards the door and headbutted it with so much force, it went flying, breaking into several pieces and hitting the people at the door.

Then my wolf attacked and killed three people in the palace building. When some of the strongest wolves arrived, they attacked and tried to restrain me. There were about seven of them, but still they couldn't subdue me easily. The fight was long and brutal. I killed two of them, leaving the rest severely wounded before they eventually pinned me down and put me inside my big metal cage.

In a short while, my wolf became tranquil and I shifted back to my human form. But I was too fagged out from all the fighting, so I collapsed to the ground, exhausted. In the blink of an eye, I blacked out.
