CLAIRE's POVI felt suffocated as Dominik forcefully pressed his lips against mine. I parted my lips to gasp for air, and he slipped his tongue into mouth, deepening the kiss.I placed my hands on his chest to push him away, but he did not budge. He pressed me even closer to his body and ran a hand into my hair. Why was he doing this? Why was he always giving me mixed signals? I wanted to tell him to stop, I wanted to hit him so hard, he would let me go. But I found myself melting into his arms and enjoying his kiss. All the muscles in my body relaxed and I stopped sobbing. As our tongues linked, I found myself drowning in pleasure and I began to crave something more. I did not just want his hands around my waist, I wanted them all over my body, exploring each plane. But then, my mind flashed to the words Cora had said. Dominik had made love to her. My eyes flew open and it felt like I had regained my senses back. Anytime Dominik touched me, it felt like he was putting me under his co

CLAIRE's POVThe things clouding my thoughts were nothing more than Dominik and Dominik alone. That one scene, the image of him leaving me all alone in the woods was stuck in my head. The despair I felt when he left me and walked away, hand in hand with Cora knew no bounds. Just how much more worse could things get? I broke down and cried that night, the next day and days after that. But now, I was more stable. But the memory remained inbuilt in my head as if to torture me and remind me that Dominik would never be fully mine.As I gazed out of the window in my room, I brushed my fingers over my lips and down to my neck. Those were the places Dominik had touched me. They still tingled and remembering his touch, made me crave more of him.I sighed to myself, a sad sigh, because I knew fully well that I would never get that opportunity again. I kept my gaze on the blue sky. The clouds floated around it. They looked free and had not a care in the world. I wished to be like that.As I los

CLAIRE's POVAs I lay on the grass, cold began to seep into my body slowly. I pushed my self up from the ground, ignoring my body as it trembled uncontrollably. I staggered down the path leading back to the pack house. When I approached the door, I turned the door knob, and to my surprise, it did not budge. I began to panic and pushed the door several times more. I cursed under my shaky breath. Sorcha had locked the door from the inside. She really intended on letting me freeze out here.I shivered and clutched myself tightly, in an attempt to try and terminate some body heat. I decided to try again, but the door refused to budge.I began to feel despair. Was I going to stay locked out here forever? I trudged to a corner and slumped down, raising my knees up to my chest, and clutching myself. My teeth clattered and my body shook. My wet clothes clung to my body and my also wet hair stuck to my face. Could I try calling out for someone?I did not entertain that idea. Who exactly would

CLAIRE's POVIt was hot, suffocating. I found it hard to breath. I could hear Aurora beside me, sobbing. Why was she crying? Was she worried about me? I chuckled to myself. Who would have thought that someone who hated my guts would be this worried about me?It was just a fever, but why did it feel like my breath was getting slower? I tried to move my body, but I had no strength left in it. “Stay with me Claire,” I heard Aurora sob.I felt myself losing consciousness, I could not stay awake any longer. Was this death? If so then I would happily embrace it. All my suffering would be elevated that way.And then I heard his voice. My eyes lids were too heavy, so I could not open them and confirm if he was really standing there. But there was no way it was Dominik. He did not care about me, so why would he be here? His voice got louder and more prominent. That was all the proof I needed. I felt his rough, cold hands brush against my cheeks and I relished in it. I leaned into his touch fu

CLAIRE's POV The days went by like a breeze, and each day seemed to get better by the minute. After Dominik’s orders, Sorcha was forcefully taken away from the pack house, and into the smaller house that was situated beside the main house. It was a place for lower wolves, just like the place I used to live in while I was still in Enzo’s pack. I had not seen the interior of the smaller house, but I had heard stories about it, and none of them were good.According to what I had heard, the conditions of living in there, were terrible. Rats roamed the rooms freely, it reeked of dampness and green slimy moss grew all over the walls. Thinking about it alone, was enough to make one shudder. And that was where Sorcha was going to live from now on.I on the other hand, was making the most out of Sorcha’s permanent absence. I would roam around the hallways without the fear of bumping into her or her minions. The other wolves that followed her around soon dispersed and went into hiding. And so
