DOMINIK's POV Cora appearing in the pack house out of the blue was not something I had anticipated. Why the fuck had she shown up like that?I muttered curses under my breath as I dragged Cora up the stairs with me. The only thing on my mind was Claire, and how broken she had looked when Cora had blurted out the plans for our marriage.I was at a loss of words on how to explain everything to Claire, but what exactly was I going to say? I did agree to marry Cora, I had no excuses to give. Once we got into my office, I flung Cora in and shut the door behind me once Luis had come in. I glared at Cora, but she did not seemed fazed at all.She retained the cocky smile on her lips and her eyes gleamed with happiness and fascination.“Did your father really send you here?” I questioned. She frowned at me and pouted her lips.“Do you not believe my words, alpha? You know I would never lie to you,” she cooed.I was getting irritated with her behaviour by the minute.“And he said we should bo

LUIS's POVAs I walked down the hallway hastily, l held a few clothes in my hands for Claire and me to change into once we had finished our run. I slowed down when I recalled Claire and the look she had on her face. She seemed really hurt, seeing Dominik together with another woman and hearing that she was going to be his wife.I could understand her pain. She was in love with Dominik, so it was only natural that she would feel that way. And Dominik did not reciprocate her feelings. It was the one thing I could not stand. Claire was my very good friend and I hated seeing her hurt. I sighed to myself and picked up the pace again. I did not want to keep her waiting. As I made a turn into the next hallway, I immediately bumped into Dominik, stopping me in my tracks instantly. “Why are you in such a hurry?” he questioned while giving me a puzzled a look.I watched as his eyes slowly trailed to the clothes I held and his brows suddenly twisted into a nasty snarl.“What the hell are you d

CLAIRE's POVAfter Luis’ meeting with Aurora, I noticed that they spent so much more time together. I would occasionally catch them together in the gardens, the hallways, walking hand in hand.It felt like they did not go anywhere without each other. And finally, Luis had come out and announced Aurora as his mate. Dominik seemed to be happy for him, but did not bother himself about it too much. I on the other hand, felt like he was taking things to fast. How could he be so sure that she was his mate? I understood that perhaps, they might have felt the mating bond, but everything was happening too suddenly. But I could not protest. Seeing Luis genuinely happy and brimming with life was enough for me. As long as he was happy with her, then I saw no need to question his choices. As I sauntered around the corridor aimlessly, my eyes wandered around, looking for a source of entertainment. It had been weeks since we had gotten back from the witch’s coven and how I missed my friends, Emmalin

CLAIRE's POVIt had been weeks since I had a run in with Sorcha, her gang and Cora. I spent most of the day laying in bed staring at the ceiling, thinking about nothing but Dominik, Cora and Aurora. It threw me into a state of depression and I did not want to leave my room through out the whole day. It felt like I was drowning, sinking deeper into water and there was no one to drag me out.I sighed to myself and turned to my side on the bed. I needed someone to talk to, no, I craved for another person’s presence. The presence of a friend. Emmaline was not here, Danica was not here, and Blaire was not here either.Luis was not around either as he had been sent out to scout the area by Dominik and had not been back for a week. I was positive that Aurora would be missing him very much, seeing as they could not stay away from each other, even for a minute.I wanted to talk to Luis, like we always did. I wrapped my hands around myself and raised my knees up to my stomach. My mind wandered

CLAIRE's POVMy blood ran cold. I hoped and prayed that he was not the one standing behind me. As I turned around slowly, my heart began to race.My heart dropped when my eyes fell on Dominik. I hoped and prayed that it would not be him, but the moon goddess had fallen deaf to my prayers, as always. Dominik looked visibly angry and annoyed. Beside him stood Luis, who was giving me a disappointment look. It was then I really began to access the situation. I turned back to Cora and realised that my hands were still on her collar. As I looked up at her, I noticed tears had slipped down her cheeks. When did she start crying? I quickly let go of her and in an instant, she sobbed and ran towards Dominik.I snapped my head in their direction and the sight I beheld was enough to drive me insane. Cora had flung herself on Dominik and her head rested on his chest. I looked further down and saw that Dominik had looped an arm around her waist.“I did nothing to her and she threatened to rip out
