Hyrene nodded but her dad's face still remained cold. "Did you notice that Marcus even took sides with Selena? Isn't she getting into him?" She asked. Lynn took her daughter's hands and smiled. "He is not taking her side my darling. He is only explaining what happened to you so that you won't read the meaning of it. His words were for you and not for her" she said. Her words soothed Hyrene's heart. "You think?" She asked with a smile. "I've been married for a long time. Don't you think I will know?" She asked. Hyrene nodded, smiling. She had totally thought Marcus didn't care about her feelings but now with her mother's words, she felt different. * * * * * * * * * * Farell had run to follow Selena. He saw that she was bleeding and needed to take care of herself but then she couldn't go to the hospital because she wouldn't be accepted there. He went to his room and took his first aid kit to help her. He also opened his fridge and took out cake and soft drinks. He then ran to S

His voice was so cold that Selena feared and she stopped. Dylan took her face in his hand and scrutinised it. This made Selena feel so uncomfortable. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Shhh" he said. Then he dropped her face and used his finger to remove the hair she used to cover the big wound. Seeing the plaster, his face became colder and he looked into Selena's eyes. "What is this?" He growled. Even Lucius where he was seated couldn't sit anymore. He stood up and looked at the wound on her face. "It's not as bad as it looks," Selena said, trying to smile. She didn't know why he was getting angry at her wound. It wasn't as if it was in his body. "That's not the answer to my question" he scowled. Selena touched the hand that held her face to tell him that he was already squeezing it. Dylan, noticing this, dropped his hand still staring hard at her. "Actually, I'm a very clumsy one. So mistakenly hit my head" she rushed out. As obvious as the lie was, she still told it. Dy

Selena was the one who prepared dinner but she didn't go to the dining hall with them. She waited in the kitchen for her leftovers so she could use the painkillers Farell gave her. She didn't want to appear in the dining hall since her parents were going to be there. They were the last people she wanted to see. After they were done for the night, she went to her room. She couldn't take a proper bath because most of her body was bruised. Looking at what the Alpha King gave her to apply on her body, she didn't know who to call for help. Then she thought of her brother. At first, she didn't want to go meet him because she didn't want him to think she was misunderstanding his kindness but then she seemed not to have a choice. She then took the polythene and went to Farell's room. She knocked slightly. Farell opened the door and was surprised to see her. This was the first time he would see her at his door. In fact at anyone's door aside from her wanting to clean the room. Farell ha

" C'mon Farell. It's all gone" she said with a smile. " You don't know how sad I am anytime I watch those people bully you and I can't do anything. It pierces my heart Selena. But don't worry, I will definitely find you an escape way one day" he said calmly. Selena could see the sincerity in eyes and her heart warmed. She didn't know that she had someone who was passing through this pain with her. She had thought that she was all alone all along. But now hearing Farell's words, she felt a bit secure. Selena nodded her head and smiled. "I need to leave," she said and stood up. " Alright. Just take care of yourself" he said. When he opened the door for her, Selena carefully looked to see if anyone was coming before she stepped outside. She literally ran to her room. She got to her room and laid on her bed thinking about today's event and how two people cared for her. She hasn't even felt like this in her life. Not that she wasn't grateful for her grandmother's care but then, it w

He wanted to be angry but he couldn't. This beautiful little one was quite agitated and it was fascinating to him. He felt like smiling. Selena gave a stupid smile. She was so hot inside. "Your Highness, I only came to..... To...." Then she remembered what he did for her yesterday. "Yes I only came to thank you for yesterday" she rushed out. Dylan raised a brow at that obvious lie. "At this time of the day?" He asked. Selena nodded. " I thought you might get so busy that I wouldn't be able to see you today. So I came quickly" she said. She was praying hard in her heart that he should at least believe her. But the look she saw on his face was not only telling her that her prayers weren't answered but also that she was in a hell of trouble. "And how did you enter?" He asked. Yesterday, he had made new changes about his door. He made it a fingerprint and a passcode. He didn't want anyone having access to his room except for himself and his Beta. "Huh" she didn't know what to
