Chapter 60: Battle of Wits and Skills
Kalen always dread and anticipated the day that he would kill his first Gaul soldier. He hated them to the core, so he would never hesitate if the opportunity to kill one was presented to him. The appearance of this soldier lit a burning flame that was carefully concealed in his heart. At this moment, the flame already burst forth like dam releasing a river of water, and it could not be remedied again. He acted very fast, as he quickly whispered to his Lawgiver 2 -form gun to take on its machine gun configuration. His gun diligently obeyed, as it quickly rearranged its configuration.  Despite his opponent was a high-grade warrior, Kalen vowed that he would eliminate this soldier. The Gaul soldier saw him coming but ignored him as he did a sideways slash with his sword, easily killing another knight from the squad. To him, these knights were just cannon fodder, so he didn’t care one bit. This action succeeded in angering Kalen further, as

Chapter 61: Using the Divine Battle Art: Bullet Barrage for the First Time
The Gaul soldier finally ducked, weaved and expertly dived into one of the cars, as he yelled at the driver to move immediately. He looked back, and not seeing anybody, he grinned as he felt the excited that he got an exotic sword in this encounter. “It some more experience young buck. There is no way you’ll be able to stop me. It will take you many years to match my battle experience.” He muttered with a cruel smile on his face, as he marked this Camelot knight and this checkpoint as a no-go zone. No matter how much he tried to elevate his ego, it did not change the that he ran pathetically. He was not coming back here, no matter what happened.  As his thought drifted about, he finally relaxed as he tried to calm his rapidly beating heart and his blood circulation. Unfortunately, he could not enjoy this luxury. He was startled, as he suddenly started hearing screams all around him. Tu!! Tu!! Tu!! Boom!! Boom!! Gunshots sounds suddenly erupted, f

Chapter 62: Raiding the Traitor's Compound
Of the loot that gained, he surprisingly discovered a well-packaged bunch of exotic explosives among them, which excited him to no end. “My luck is simply out of this world for even getting such much stuff from a random 1st rank high-grade warrior.: He muttered excitedly while rubbing his hands together like a gambler who just hit the jackpot. As excitement bubbled, he also thanked his lucky stars that Gaul soldier refused to use these gadgets of mass destruction. If such a cheat was used in the previous battle, even if he survived, he would have been seriously injured. “The man probably thought he could escape without using them. He was probably sent on a crucial mission, that was why he could carry such expensive gadgets around.” He thought in a serious note, as he carefully kept his new goodies. Knowledge was why the scholars said that no battle was a waste to any soldier. Through this small-scale battle that he fought; he just learned a new lesson

Chapter 63: Camelot Army Visits
“Hello, this is the Tiger military division headquarters speaking.” A calm but slightly monotonous voice finally broke the silence, after the call went through. “Yes, this Knight Sergeant Kalen. Please, connect me to the Knight Captain immediately, this is an urgent matter.” Kalen quickly replied, before patiently waiting for feedback. Roger sir. I’m sorry for the slight delay, I confirmed that line is secure. Please wait for a moment, I’ll get back to you shortly.” Silence reigned on the line, but Kalen kept quiet as he patiently waited. After a short while, the call finally connected to the destination that he wanted." "Bzzz!! This is Knight Captain Gale speaking. Kalen what is the urgent situation that you are talking about?” The deep voice of the Knight Captain finally echoed out, breaking the grave like silence.  “Good morning, Knight Captain. I am currently in front of Dick Johnson’s company right now. I already secured the company,

Chapter 64: Extremely Dangerous S-ranked Mission
This was Kalen’s first-time seeing knights from the Camelot army in person. He was excited and shocked, but this only served to increase his dread and anticipation for the reason for their visit. In normal sense, the Tiger military division is just too small to attract visitors from this hegemon of the Camelot army. They were the rulers of anything that is related to the military in the Kingdom of Camelot.  The Camelot army is the number 1 military force within the Kingdom. The Tiger military division and all other military organizations in the Kingdom of Camelot, are all under the banner of this huge behemoth. The leader of Camelot army is a 5th ranked high-grade warrior, Knight Grand Commander Auger. He is the Commander-in-Chief of all military organizations in the kingdom, and he is the strongest within the Kingdom of Camelot excluding the President, ‘The Angel of Death.’ This showed the power that the army wielded, as such knights were the pe

Chapter 65: Bald Haired Knight Captain
“Kalen, this decision that you made is so wrong,” Aledos could not help but say again for the 10th time, during the short time that he walked back with his friend. “Do you think your parents will be happy if they see you from heaven diving head deep into trouble because of them? Killing yourself for vengeance is just childish, that’s old school man.” He emphasized again. “Forget it, bro, there’s nothing you can say or do, that would change my mind. If they didn’t want me to do this, then they wouldn’t have died in the first place.” Kalen replied, as he quickly gathered and prepared his things. After a lot of fruitless continuous persuasion, Aledos finally relented as he glared at Kalen. He glowered fiercely at his friend, before finally saying with a sigh. “You do not have my permission to die, get that into your head. Remember, I haven’t found that wife I promised you.” Kalen’s face twitched noticeably on hearing this before involuntarily smi

Chapter 66: Knight Sergeant Nami's Appears
Despite the Knight Captain looking weirdly, the strength and power of this guy was the real deal. Kalen’s mouth and heart were sealed completely when he learned that he was from the Camelot army. Unlike the military divisions and organizations like the Tiger division, the Camelot army refused to let most its precious high-grade warriors go on this S-ranked mission. The Camelot army brought only 20 knights, out of the needed 200 high-grade warriors for the mission. That was already many, but compared to the army’s deep reserves, it was just a pinch of salt. Kalen also learned some news about Knight General Maxwell. What shocked him, was that the 5 knights who always followed the Knight General were all 3rd rank high-grade warriors. The force committed to this mission was just outrageous. The Camelot army released another four-4th rank high-grade warriors and ten 2nd rank high-grade warriors for the mission. After learning all of this, Kalen fin

Chapter 67: Mission Reconnaissance
Kalen and Nami both activated their camouflage devices, perfectly disguising themselves as regular citizens of the Gaul Republic. They needed it, as being in the shadows was in their favor. Kalen’s advice was they should disguise themselves as siblings, but Nami insisted on them disguising themselves as a pair of lovers. She reasoned that it would be more convincing for young youths like them. After much argument, he eventually relented before finally following her suggestion. He was no match for a woman like her, in terms of argument prowess. Looking at the decision from the bright side, it was not too bad. He consoled his ego with this, as they quickly located a boutique in the nearest town. He got dressed in a pair of ripped blue jean trousers and a red polo t-shirt. With his short trimmed dark hair and the young vibe that he was exuding, the dress up made him look a youngster going on a date with his girlfriend. Unlike him, Nami got hersel

Chapter 68: Hans, The Socializer
“Kalen…, it’s ok, calm down, forget about the dream already.” Nami comforted Kalen in a soothing tone after he narrated the dream to her in the morning. “I’ll never put you in a situation that’ll endanger your life, I promise. Don’t worry, we’ll just have to be more careful and cautious.” She added in a softer tone to drive home her point. Kalen finally calmed down a little after repeating the calming words. He may have overacted, but she will never understand his overreaction until a bullet is embedded inside of you. When you see yourself slowly dying and the tinder of life fading out of you, the trauma would speak for itself. Weaker-minded individuals can even develop psychological problems immediately. It felt shameful and embarrassing for a male knight to be comforted by a beautiful girl because of a nightmare, but the feeling of him slowly dying still spooked to no end.  It was at these rare moments that he remembered his best friend

Chapter 69: Operation 'Dragon Fury' Begins
After a lot of planning, preparation, and implementation of their well-laid-out plans, the Camelot knights were more than ready as Christmas was fast approaching. Surprisingly, to Kalen’s shock and joy, Hans invited him to his family’s Christmas party. This was just like gold falling from the heaven for him, it was an unexpected boon to the mission.  “Shit man, this is completely unexpected. With this alone, it is already enough to make me the greatest contributor of this mission.” He thought excitedly. That evening, on getting home he did not tarry, he immediately contacted his Knight Captain. After he was informed, Knight Captain Hull was not shy with his praise, nor did he mince words as he lavished praise on both Kalen and Nami while encouraged them to continue the good work. Some of Kalen’s squad mates were already preparing to risk infiltrating the Governor’s security guards directly, especially the Knight Corporals, after trying an
