Chapter 52ELORA'S POV***The car suddenly became as silent as a graveyard when I faced the window and didn't say anything.I could see that Romeo was deep in thought as he continued playing with the grenade or whatever Chad called it.Though he was playing with the grenade he looked rather absent-minded as he was playing with it."I heard you had some complaints about the knives in your pocket," Romeo suddenly said, jolting me out of my thoughts.Hearing his words I smiled. He had finally brought up the matter that had been troubling me."Yeah, I have trouble with it. I feel uncomfortable with it in my pockets. I feel like an assassin with it in my pocket," I said looking at Romeo for his reaction. But unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch a bit of a reaction on his face. His face was as expressionless as it could be. But I guessed he was snickering inside.Though his face and eyes didn't show anything I could guess he was laughing on the inside."Well, you see you can't remove th

Chapter 54ROMEO'S POV***I sent the Alpha flying with a punch immediately after I neared him. I wasn't going to fight him. I was going to discipline him. The alpha looked way younger than me.I knew if I had a younger brother he and the Alpha would be around the same age. So fighting the Alpha was useless to me. I was going to trash him.The fight was for someone who was on par with me or who is above my strength. While trashing was for people I know I could beat easily. From the way, the Alpha took a stand and the way he attacked I knew he was inexperienced in every aspect.I would have allowed Chad to fight him as I was sure he would be able to beat him but due to time not being on our side I couldn't allow it.Walking slowly toward the Alpha I had sent flying groans as he stood up to attack me once again.A smirk appeared on the corner of my mouth when I saw him stand up. He was going to receive a hell of a beating."Trash him until he comes to his senses." My wolf mind linked

Chapter 56ETHAN'S POV***What the hell was happening? Who in hell had planted a land mine on the floor? How in the hell did that house explode? Who in hell planted bombs and the land mine? The two houses that just exploded were the houses that I asked my soldiers to search.I looked at Eric with gratitude and he just smiled and faced the front."There's still some hidden danger," Eric sighed looking around.Right now my head was a mess. What in the hell was happening? How had the Alpha of the pack known we were coming and evacuated the pack members and even had time to set traps for us?What could I do? The unexpected had already happened. I should have known earlier that the ambush on the way was just to delay us.Well, who cares. The moon goddess was never on my side. I had to suffer the aftermath. But with the way things were, I could guess fairly that the pack members had just left the pack and shouldn't be far from their pack.Pushing all my thoughts to the back of my mind I

Chapter 58ETHAN'S POV***For a moment I froze and didn't know what to do. Everything was like a movie to me.What the hell happened just now? How in hell had they escaped? My brain had stopped working at the moment so it couldn't process an answer to my questions.I could only look at the distance wishing the car was still there and then I would make sure the Alpha never escapes.I knew what was going to befall me if I went back to the pack. My father was given to kill me.Though it wasn't my fault that the mission had failed. He would still blame me for everything no matter what. What would I tell him happened? How would I say it?For minutes I stood there with these questions in my head without an answer. If I didn't want to be dealt with by my father I had to find an instant solution at this point."Ethan wakes up," Eric said, bringing me out of my thoughts.I looked at him and realized he was still holding me. I looked at him and sighed with gratitude."Let's go back to the pa

Chapter 60ELORA'S POV***Leaving the Alpha of the pack we hid in a place where no one would be able to see us.Some minutes later we saw some soldiers walking over to the Alpha."Who are you?" One of the soldiers frowned walking to the Alpha. But the Alpha of the pack didn't answer and was just looking at them."I said who the fuck are you?" One of the soldiers growled. But still, the alpha didn't answer and was just looking at them like he was lost."Haven't you got the mouth to answer?" Another soldier yelled. But still, the alpha wasn't intimidated and was just staring at them.Right now I was wondering what was going on in the alpha's mind that made him like this. Was he still doubting Romeo? Did he still think he was lying? I knew the Alpha was stubborn and might now want to believe."Since you don't have the mouth to answer, we'll force you to do that." One of the soldiers cracked his knuckles and gave his gun to one of his comrades.Getting to the alpha he sent a punch righ
