Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Beta's Mate: Kabanata 121 - Kabanata 130

Sam POV I was so proud of Josie; I was bursting at the seams. I was proud of my Pack. Everyone accepted Josie and that was the most important thing to me. She had been so afraid of the Pack’s response to her that they had overwhelmed her with their acceptance of her. When she first opened her mind to the Pack, I could feel her panic and murmured in her ear how to turn it down. She quickly did and managed perfectly. Now we were dancing, and I was holding onto the love of my life. As we were slowly moving around the dancefloor, I felt a soft tap on my shoulder. I stopped dancing and turned to see my parents standing there smiling. I beamed back at them. With everything that had gone on, we did not have a chance to actually have Josie meet my parents. I turn Josie around to face my parents. She stood there stiff as a board, “Who are these people?” she mind-links me. “My parents,” I quickly reply before moving forward to hug my parents. I

Sarah POV I knew the moment I felt the repercussion of the spell I had cast that I it had been too much. When I was knocked out, I had the reprieve of feeling anything. I only started to come around as Josie was yelling something at Shane and Daniel. Why was Daniel here? Why were any of them here? And what had prevented my spell from taking? I saw Jack in front of me, but I could not hear what he was saying. I had pain in my stomach, “I need to get to Jenna,” I say quietly to Jack. I still cannot comprehend what he is saying. He speaks through our mind-link, “Get on my back sweetheart,” he says as he tells Josie we are going back right away. Josie looks concerned but there is no time to discuss anything, I feel the pain worsening. I hold onto Jack’s wolf’s fur as we rush through the forest. I feel like I pass out at some point as I wake to being carried into the Pack hospital in Jack’s arms. “Hang on sweetheart,” he murmurs to me as he

Sam POV Fuck! I handled that perfectly. Why could Josie not see that she was just as valuable as anyone else? It was like she was continually trying to prove herself. Or prove that she was worthy or maybe that she was not as important as everyone else. I did not know the answer in this moment, but I did know that she had more than just herself to think about. Our pup deserved to grow up and have two parents who loved him. I slam the door harder than I intended to and instantly had a mind-link from Adam. “Everything okay down there?” he asks. “Everything will be fine – sorry to disturb you Alpha,” I reply showing respect when I was not very respectful. “Hey, our rooms are soundproofed – how did you hear that?” I ask as an afterthought. “Just on my way down to get some snacks for my mate,” he says with a chuckle. I chuckle as well and sign off wishing him a good night. I tug off my clothes and move to have a shower hoping to cool off bef

Josie POV Things had been suspiciously quiet for the past two weeks. Crickets. Nothing was happening. No more border attacks. No sign of our mother. Simply nothing. Jack had identified the warriors who had been bribed by the Council to leave an opening for access to the territory. Needless to say, after the relevant information was obtained from them, they were destroyed. They would never be trusted again. Sarah was adjusting to her life on bedrest. I kept her time filled with files and discussing scenarios that we would use to keep Jenna safe, if the need arose. Even with Sarah on bedrest she was proving to be an asset to the team. We have both hit our needy points in our pregnancies. It is a total piss off for Sarah as Jack avoids her like the plague, but Sam and I are quite enjoying the time as I tease her mercilessly. Jenna is getting closer to her delivery date. Everything has been going perfectly for her, but she is anxious to del

Sam POV I grab Josie’s hand and tug her behind me. “Adam, where are you?” I mind-link my Alpha wanting to ensure his safety. “We are locked inside the hospital room. I cannot take Jenna from here. She cannot shift,” Adam mind-links me back. “We will come to you through the window,” I reply quickly. “No, take Josie to the secure bunker. We need to ensure your safety. If anything happens to us, you and Josie will run the Red Pine Pack,” he says coldly before closing our mind-link. Josie had heard the conversation and I see tears well up in her eyes. She had just found out she had a sister and was going to potentially lose her. “Come on babe, we have to go,” I say to Josie as I open the window and do a quick scan to ensure no threat is around us. Helping Josie out the window, we both shift and take off toward the secret bunker. I do not see any chaos outside the Pack hospital. In fact, there is no visible attack on the Pack. What the hell?
