Josie POV

“Who is coming?” I murmur to Jenna as we stand there watching our mother try to get some rest. The doctor had been in twice to adjust her pain medications and to try and help her rest. Her main concern was us and whoever was coming for us. Sam and Adam had joined us after the first warning from our mother.

Since then, she had woken up two more times to warn us. We tried to assure her we were fine and were watching for an attack. She just became more distraught. “You will not know when they arrive,” she says as the doctor administered more drugs that would calm her down. Her blood pressure was high, on top of her other ailments. For a wolf to have high blood pressure, it had to be severe.

As she finally settled, Sam pulled me into his arms. “No matter what, you go no place by yourself,” he says to me. I nod as I rest my head against his shoulder. Jack went to Sarah immediately to ensure she was protected. We had increased warrior

Is Daniel helping or sending them to a trap? Where do these powerful warlocks or whatever this guy is keep coming from?They need to get Miranda there quick for some backup. What a wicked woman their mother is. Just when you think she can't get worse she does.

    Lucas POV I have been sitting by Daniel’s bed since they finished operating on him. I cannot bear to look at my mate without rage taking over my mind. Seeing the abuse Daniel withstood breaks me. I do not know how he survived but I will be forever grateful he had the strength to do so. I watch the consistent blip on the machine indicating he is alive.
