Rain's P.O.V.I shot up from the chair, back in the room with Eryn. Nate is in danger. I saw him fighting, they were being overrun. There were so many of them. How did there get to be so many of them?"Rain." Eryn called me back to my senses he had been speaking to me this whole time. "What did you see?" I got up from the chair. We need to go to them. We need to help! "They're in trouble Eryn. There were so many ancient ones. There were at least 30 maybe more. They are way over their heads. It isn't just 6. Eryn we need to help them." I grabbed his hand pulling him out for the room with me. We need to open the tree portal and go out there and help them escape. "They can't retreat, there's so many of them." "Woah, Rain. Stop." He pulled on my hand, spinning me around to face him. "You can't go out there. You're pregnant, Rain. Stoic and Larminiel out there. Larminiel is the best person to have out there right now. He will get everyone left alive out." I shook my head. No we need to

"I'm sorry I got carried away." He sounded sad, which made me sad after the moment we just started. "What do you mean? This was perfect." I kissed his nose this time. "You'll make me feel bad if you apologize after having sex with me." He shook his head against me. "That's not what I meant. Rain, every moment with you is like heaven on earth. Pure ecstacy. I just mean that I was too rough. I'm worried I bruised you from how tightly I was grabbing you." He rubbed my thigh more as he said it. "I don't think you did. Don't think I'm some gentle flower Nate." I smirked, slightly teasing him. "Now feed me please, I think that took too much energy." I laughed. He got off me so fast, racing to the food. He almost tripped over my shoes, giving me a side glare. He pushed my shoes aside with his foot, bringing me some nuts and water. "Rain, I love you, but we're gonna have to talk about how messy you are." He sighed and I laughed, giving him the biggest grin, trying to be cute. "What mess

Eryn took us outside, passing Charles' pack along the way. They all bowed their heads in respect to their future Luna, but I could feel their judgments as Nate held my side. "Don't mind them and their small minds. Keep your head held high, Rain." Nate whispered in my ear. I did just that, held my head high, because I'm the one with all the power. Screw them and their judgements. Eryn led us down a trail, filled with flowers I hadn't seen here before. The trail led to a clearing where the sun shone brightly. The grass was soft and plush, a very dark green. There were a mixture of wild flowers here. "I used some magic to create this spot for you. I know how much the sun and nature help you feel better. I wanted to give you a spot just for yourself. I liked it with midnight flowers to keep you safe too. I know it doesn't work with ancient ones, but I don't figure they'll come this far." "You did this for me?" I choked up. "Of course, anything for you Rain." I wrapped myself around

We snuck out the back, where Nate pulled out his wings and flew us high up in the air. We were heading into a nearby human town so Nate wouldn't be able to land right in town. He landed us into thick trees a little ways away. He carried me out, tree roots had overtaken the ground and he didn't want me to trip. He also just wanted to carry me, which I didn't mind. When we reached town, he put me down, not wanting to catch too much attention. Although with the way he looked it was impossible. His golden hair shone brightly in the late afternoon sun. The button down shirt and slacks he wore gave off a sense of importance. His piercing blue eyes shining brightly against the tan of his skin. His jaw was strong and his pearly white teeth blinded me as he smiled down at me. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I wrapped mine around his waist, as we walked through the strip, looking for a place to shop. We passed some stores with frilly dresses on display. "How about this one?" He smi

"Stay here and keep an eye on her." Nate told the doctor, as he got up from the chair. I pulled on his hand. "Oh no you don't. " I snapped at him. "You're not leaving me to fight. Either take me with you or stay here with me." I'm not having him go out there alone. Nate stiffened, unsure what to do. I know he doesn't want to leave me but he also has this need to protect his children. He sat back down finally. "No way I'm taking you out there." He shook his head, kissing my hand. We sat silently as we heard the fight erupting outside. My heart constricted as I thought of Charles and his pack outside. They will be the first to fight them. How many were here? Where are Charles and Eryn? Oh goddess please protect them. The fighting was getting louder, screams, growls, and roars echoing through the halls. I was petrified, I didn't want to lose anyone. Every important person in my life was here in this building. Nate was antsy, his leg twitching uncontrollably as the fight kept up. It
