Jamari’s POV“Are you sure that this is a good idea?” Kenji asks the same question that has been asked a hundred times since I told my mates that we need to get into the Fae Realm. “What if us unlocking the Fae Realm is what sets the events that you saw into motion? Lucern’s POV “Don’t do something you might regret for me, my King.” Jamari’s whispered words echo around in my head as I struggle to regain control over the bloodlust that had slowly taken control over my actions. Jamari’s POV“Some might call you foolish for letting Howard off so easily, my lady.” Nodding my head in agreement, I walk out of the door without looking around at the disapproving faces of the rest of Lucern’s council members. I had originally come in search of Lucern to see what had gotten him so upset all of a sudden, I was not expecting to walk into a council meeting that was about me. “She is right, my lady.” The sound of Howard’s unexpected voice pulls me out of my thoughts, startling me slightly as I jump in place, my hand moving up to grasp the base of my throat in order to calm my nerves. An apologetic look appears on Howard’s face as he moves off of the wall that he was reclining on. “I did not mean to startle you, my lady.” Howard stops his forward movement a few feet away from me, nervously moving from foot to foot as an internal struggle appears on his face. “What is it?” I ask him curiously. Lucern’s POV“No one is here.” A disappointed look appears on Sabina’s face as we make our way into Howard’s hidden office that only a select few people are able to access. As we look around the large room, we find no one in sight, but I can sense my mate’s scent somewhere in this room, so I know she is here. Before I can call for Jamari to let her know that I can sense her in the room, Sabina suddenly throws herself at me. Her body drapes over mine, sending confusion through my body as she grabs hold of me tightly. The scent of blood fills the room, causing my nostrils to flare as I seek out the scent. Shoving Sabina to the side, I look around the room in search of where the scent of blood could be coming from. Sabina whimpers from behind me, drawing my attention to her direction. Blood flows from her stomach, coating her hands as she presses down on the wound that has blood flowing out of it like a river. I have decided to end book 2 where it is. Thank you all for your continued support and positive reviews. I will be starting Book 3, the final book in the series, soon and will have it up by next month. I am currently dealing with a family emergency that might make my planned timeline a little longer than I would like so please bear with me as I plan out how to end Jamari's journey. The next book will introduce the last of Jamari's mates and will bring everything that has happened in the last two books to a head as well.
