On the clear glass table, an array of appetizing foods was displayed. The enticing aroma of toasted bread, black pudding, and fried eggs wafted into her nostrils, making her mouth water. She gulped. He hadn’t been able to concentrate on his work because of Chloe. His mind refused to rest knowing her assailant was still at large. Even though she had nearly lost her life, she remained the same stubborn woman. She refused to stay home, throwing tantrums about wanting to return to work because she was bored. “Sir, you have a call from Collins,” Stuart announced as he approached Liam’s desk.
