Kylie was greatly surprised by her friend's change. So far Davies had been sticking to his human side. Even when he faced the Great Wolf - a threat he considered the greatest he had ever faced in his lifetime - he remained in his human form. All he did was develop claws and sharpen his ears. It was different now. Kylie's friend now looked like a cheetah standing on two legs! Chapter 31: Fight! Davies!

Davies pushed forward amidst the darkness that threatened to consume him. His figure was like a bright star amidst the night sky. He moved like the beasts that surrounded him, but with greater flexibility and the craftiness of a man. Although he was surrounded on all sides, the many Great Wolves that threatened him couldn't lay a finger on him! "Heightened Senses: Blistering Pace!"*Boom*Davies avoided yet another dangerous strike from a nearby Great Wolf. His eyes flashed brightly as he rolled on the ground to avoid another swipe aimed at his chest. His movements were fluid and unhurried; he was like a main dancer surrounded by a troupe of backup dancers. He was the main attraction!Davies had done brilliantly so far, waltzing through the mob of large wolves with unbelievable precision. However, this wasn't solely due to his excellent movements. Chapter 32: Will You Help Me?

A sickening smile stretched Davies's lips as he admired his work. The blood of the deceased Great Wolf seeped into the soil of the cave and was swiftly absorbed. The body of the beast lay on the ground silently, as the other beasts came to terms with what had just occured.The eyes of the Great Beasts that were formerly filled with bloodlust were swiftly coated in fear, and several of them stepped back anxiously. Their actions caused Davies to growl in excitement. He slowly lost himself, thinking that his action of killing one of them had been enough to instil cowardice in the hearts of these powerful foes."That's right! Run you cowards!" Davies exclaimed, his voice travelling all through the cave and to the outside world.To the young man the actions of the Great Wolves showed that they had become disillusioned by their strength and had forgotten that they too could be killed. Kylie's eyes were shut as she broke through her limits. Having just discovered her abilities, she had no true idea of the extent of her skills; but in this moment of crisis, she felt her mind open up. It's mouth was stained with the blood of its fellow Great Wolf, giving it a ferocious appearance, and the light of evil that gleamed in its sinister pair of eyes served to highlight the many atrocities that it had been a centre of since it's ride to the top.
