Once Christopher left the kitchen, Waverly made her way up the stairs to her bedroom. She shut the door behind her and fell back against it, absorbing her encounters with both Christopher and Sawyer that evening. As Waverly sat in the great room with Sawyer, discussing countless topics with their hands only inches apart from one another, she had let go of any worries that had pressed her since she had left Boulder Creek. Both her body and emotions were running low from the night before and when she glanced down, she saw Sawyer's arm draped over her stomach once more. She smiled to herself and tenderly tried to lift his arm, but he stirred in his sleep and nuzzled his head in closer to her back, pulling her in tighter.
