Chapter 81: TerrifyingDemiMy heart was beating so hard. My eyes didn’t leave Ryder’s growing dragon frame as he flew closer, gaining speed with every massive thrust of his giant wings. I heard Drake’s body fall to the ground. I heard his heart stop pumping, but still, I didn’t look away. I didn’t want Ryder to be here. Though I knew he would come, the fear of something happening to him again creates a pain within me that could never be mirrored or overshadowed by anything else. The loss of Drake would linger forever. Sorrow was a heavy feeling, but there was another feeling in the atmosphere, bloodlust. It’s accompanied by a static energy fueled by not only Ares anger and aggression, but Ryder’s as well. Energy produced from this much anger and aggression has been building for years. This is the most dangerous energy there is. It can become its own kind of power. It brings the fight between Ryder’s parents and Hades to the front of my mind. The one where together they created the new

Chapter 83: NothingRyderWhere the hell am I? Not this again, damn it! It’s pitch black. This reminds me of when I fell from earth straight into hell, but this time, I know I am not alive. I have lost to… him. Raising my hands to look, I don’t see any wounds, I don’t feel any pain. Well… I do feel the pain in my chest that comes with the fact that I have let everyone down. I let Demi down. What’s happening on the surface right now? What is he doing to her? Are my parent’s dead? Drake… I watched his lifeless body disintegrate. He got blown away into the air. Luca… He, fuck! There’s no way he would have walked away from an attack on Ares. They were my best friends. Everyone has sacrificed so much for me. I’m useless.I drop to my knees and fisted my hair. Squeezing my eyes shut, all I see is her, my Demi. Hot liquid seeps from my eyes, and that’s when I realize that I am crying. A Lycan who cries, ha! I’m useless. So… damn, useless! “I… I love you Ryder. If we can’t be toget

Chapter 85: Let’s GoDemiJust because I promised Ryder I would stay away from his fight with Ares doesn’t mean I plan to stay out of the fight all together. I grab hold of an Olympus soldier. He screamed as I lifted him high into the air. I have already used my healing powers, why would I hold my other powers back now? I dropped him placing both palms of my hands together then released a golden blast that degenerated both his body and armor. Simply dropping him wouldn’t have killed him. He’s an Olympus soldier, they are the strongest of all armies. It’s best not to play around with them.I was elated to see that Luca and Drake were alive. Luca looked like he had been road hard and put up wet, but he was alive none the less. I Kept my eyes trained on Ryder to make sure nothing surprised him from behind. He kept giving me an angry side eye every time I dropped down to assist. It was his way of telling me to get back and stay safe, but what kind of mate would I be to allow him to fight

Chapter 87: Can’t Judge MeDemiI held onto him, not wanting to let Ryder go. Ryder gave me a reassuring glance then leans down to place a soft kiss on my lips. Pulling back, he let his forehead rest on mine the way he always did when he wanted to reassure me. “Demi, I promise you this. I won’t let anything, or anyone separate us ever again. Trust me.” His voice was calming, and I believed him, always.Ryder led me over to Selene. She gave him a promising look with her canine eyes. One’s that said she would take care of me. I snuggled into her silver blue fur, not knowing what else to do with myself. My heart was ready to beat out of my chest. Every step Ryder made that led him closer to Zeus made me want to vomit.Once Ryder was standing in front of Zeus they had both met in the middle. Noone was around them, but their voices could still be heard clearly. Ryder was standing tall. He was just as tall as Zeus now. “Ryder, I was ready to be done with you. You are
