Chapter one (Scarlet's pov)

“Heyy Scarlett come on, stop being such a kill joy and get your ass ready!” My friend, Elora cooed playfully from the doorframe. The once excited atmosphere suddenly turned chaotic as people began running for their dear lives. Most people from my clan immediately shape shifted to turn into their wolves; but I couldn’t. I couldn’t even force myself to for I was phobo phobic. Anguished screams filled the air as a few members of my pack were attacked and slain, and vice versa. The tears kept falling even as I ran to the little bunker I called my home. I couldn’t believe Elora could betray me like this. I wouldn’t even have thought of her ever betraying me. Just yesterday she was the sweetest, nicest person I knew; and today she acted almost as if I was somebody she had never known.Discarding the lunchbox I had on with me earlier, on my tabletop, I slumped on my bed, my heart lurching in my chest. “She’s still alive!” A voice yelled snapping me out of my reverie.“Let’s leave her there, she could be an enemy!” Another, more cautious one replied.“I do not think she works for anyone! Can’t you smell her? She smells like a rogue!” The first one snapped almost indignantly at the second but that didn’t stop the second from voicing out his fears.“You don’t know the extent these people take to disguise themselves,” He grumbled. “I won’t be shocked if her people intentionally made her rogue just to make her seem alone.”“Okay fine let’s just save her first. When she becomes stable, we’ll take her to our Alpha. I shook with fear as a large scissor was tossed into the Alpha’s rough palm by a bulky bodyguard who stood behind him.“Alpha, she might die if tortured; she’s still too unstable to be interrogated!” The doctor said stubbornly, trying to stand in between the arrogant Alpha and myself. “If you want your tiny tongue in my dinner tonight, stand in my way!” The Alpha yelled. I quietly watched how the doctor suddenly looked deflated in an instant; like the fight had been drained out of him. “Everyone, leave us alone!” He yelled at the doctor and the guard behind him. **Scarlett’s POV**I stood there, rooted to the spot with my stomach pressed against the hospital bed as he plunged into me continuously with precise thrusts. My head reeled, my vision blurred and my legs were fast turning into jelly, but he didn’t stop. To worsen matters, he forbade me from making any sounds in order to prevent the people outside the door from knowing what was happening inside the room. **Scarlett’s POV** I woke up with a start, I tried to sit up but I discovered I couldn’t do it properly. The events of the past night played in my head and I couldn’t help but feel intense loathing for the man that had inflicted me with so much pain. I looked around me quickly to discover I was still in the Alpha’s bedroom; and in slight fear, I hastily threw on my clothes and scurried out of the room. By the time I arrived in my own little room at the pack house, it was already way past seven and I was already late to work- again! Quickly taking a shower, I wore one of the clothes that had been brought to me the previous day and practically sprinted out of my room, to the Alpha’s office. “Good morning!” I greeted the girl from yesterday exasperatedly as I ran into her by the doorstep. **Scarlett's POV** All I could feel towards the both of them was resentment and bitterness. Coupled with the pain that shot through my veins was my uneven breathing as I couldn't take it anymore. Tears welled up in my eyes, and I bit my lip hard to stop myself from crying out loud. The red haired lady bent over and laughed; she was enjoying the hell I was going through. **Scarlett's POV** I tried to stop my heart from beating frantically against my chest as I made my way to his chambers, but it didn't work. The fear that gripped me was enough to make someone's blood pressure rise. Scared and terrified of what this man would do to me, I walked through the halls that led to his chambers innocently. When I got there, the door was already open, but I wanted to knock anyway. After knocking thrice and getting no response, I stepped into the room and stood, looking around. I could make out the running water in the bathroom, meaning that he was in there. Should I just run out of here, then tell him that I came and couldn't find him? I had to give this a second thought; what if he found out I lied and increased my punishment? Worse; he might even order for me to get killed.
