Are You A Witch?

"Oh, that!" I pointed at my belly region as I was still confused about what he was referring to. Of course, I knew he was talking about the Magic book which I have held close to my body ever since I arrived at the strange home."Yes! That thing on your belly! What's that?" He looked at it inquisitively, while waiting for me to explain.I was very careful not to make the mistake of the past. I could remember that the last time someone discovered the magic book in my hands, I nearly lost my life and for Ammon and Eric, it wasn't too good for both of them either. Mr Jacob or whatever he calls himself is an individual I'm yet to trust. Anything could happen, I never rule that out therefore, I had to be very careful."Oh, about this?" I pointed at the Magic book again as if I was still naive."Yes!" He affirmed for the second. He never took his eyes off me."Well, it's a book! Just a book for my reading pleasure and that's all. It's not even interesting so, don't even ask me more about it

A Place To Spend The Night

His query was direct. It wasn't a question I could twist to avoid. Again, he might have seen a piece of evidence if I deny that. The magic book is property any Witch can possess, I'm sure he will not argue with his thoughts about that."Yes, I'm Witch!" The words left my mouth."Oh, you are Witch! That's great! You must be powerful then? Isn't that right?""No! You are not right. I'm not a powerful entity. I'm still an amateur. I'm not too good at what I do." I bent my head as if I wasn't proud of myself."I see, don't worry maybe, someday you will become powerful just like some Witches." He paused for a few seconds before resuming. "And what will she do for you!""The book I'm holding in my hands right now contains the secrets to breaking the curse on the Alpha.""Hmm I see, tell me more!" He demanded. I wasted no time going into details. I can say that he felt somehow pity for me afterwards.Later on in the night, he showed me a room where I will sleep. He fed my horses with grass.

The Thieves Of The Countryside

At once I reacted to the sound to the sound of the unexpected voice. I turned around in fright to see who was talking. Much to my astonishment, they were a group of men well-armed. They were about 15 in number. They were doing nothing at the moment rather, they stared at me for as long as they could. At once, I recalled the words which Mr Jacob told me in the morning. He has warned me continuously about the dangers ahead. Maybe, I was not paying attention to all he was warning me about but now, I'm beginning to understand why he never refrained from telling me to be vigilant. After some time, the men began speaking. The mouthpiece was no other but, one of them who seemed to be their leader. "Who are and what are you doing in my land?" His voice was modest at least, for the meantime. "Oh, I have no idea that this land belongs to anyone!" I replied to him with boldness." "Blasphemy!" Exclaimed one of the men."Silence!" Demanded their leader as he turned to face the man who had interr

A Jovial Fellow

"That's my provision please, don't touch it!" I walked up to him trying to prevent him but, his men stepped in again. One of them held me by the hands while their leader gave an order for the sack to be searched."Tear the sack and let's see what we have here!" He smiled mischievously at me while my bag was being opened. First, the searcher found the loaves of bread before, discovering other supplies in the sack. Their leader glanced at me again and resumed. "You seem to be a generous fellow, aren't you? Just take a look at all the foods you have just provided for us!" He smiled again. "You see, Louis, I'm not a bad person. I'm a generous fellow just like you, which is why I will extend my goodwill to you. I will allow you to have dinner with us tonight! You will come with us to our camp, it's better and safer down there than here!" He pointed in the direction he meant to show me as he spoke. It was a valley by my right. Are we going down there to camp for the night?I was speechless

The Rape Scene

"Hahahahaha!" He laughed before, speaking again. "Do you think I will trust you for a second and let you run around the camp? No, I don't think so!" 'Did he just say that?' I pretended like I didn't hear anything. I felt embarrassed nevertheless, I remained silent instead of protesting. As I watched in silence, he began again. "Can we take a walk?" He paused for a few seconds as if he was trying to clarify a statement. Indeed, he was trying to clarify a statement that he just made. "I mean, we should take a walk down there!" He pointed at an imaginary destination, by the left."Sure we can!" I replied. Even though I accepted to take a short walk with him not too far from the camp, I wasn't too stupid to trust him or anyone if, the Magic book must be protected. We walked from the men as they looked on. None of them tried to stop, the reason behind that was unknown to me. We walked until we came to a place where a big tree stood. He sat at one of the large forks of the tree, below. He

An Offender Among The Bandits

Raymond was never ready to listen to me. All my words fell on deaf ears. It was obvious that he had made up his mind to go on with his plans. I had no choice but to do what I knew how best to do if he goes on. He grabbed my hand and tore my upper dress. Because I was holding the Magic book under my clothes, he was able to overpower me easily. I had hidden the magic book in my clothes when he asked for a walk with him. I was not confident about the security of the book if I leave it in the sack therefore, I had to come along with it even though Raymond had no idea. One of my hands has always been buried underneath my clothes the whole time I was talking with him. As foolish as he was, he never bothered to know what I was hiding down there. However, I guess he was about to find out now, that I'm under his attack. If I must defend myself, then I will have to pull my hands out from my clothes and use them against him. Moreover, I need my hand to be out of my clothes, if I must make a spe

The Wage Of Disobedient Is Death

Dan had hardly finished spitting on Raymond when he gave the ladder also, a thunderous kick. "Why are you begging me for forgiveness when you know quite alright that I don't forgive? You must be dreaming you, idiot. Why will you disobey me and go after her when you know quite alright that she is mine?" He sounded very forceful in anger as he spoke.I was alerted when Dan made the comment suggesting that I was meant for him and not Raymond. I wondered what he meant by that statement. Does he mean that he was supposed to have me or should I say, he was supposed to rape me? It was conflicting to really decide. Anyway, I let it slide. I never wanted that thought to bother me at that moment. All I can do was wait for what comes next."I swear to God, I knew not what came over me. I'm sorry master. Please find a favour in me again. I beg you, don't carry on with your plan," Raymond was pleading almost in tears. Perhaps, he was shedding tears but, I could not see them because it was relative

Saved From Abusive Hands

Dan was not too harsh and neither was he too means however, he refused to make it clear to me what he intends to do. After Raymond's incident, we all went back to our temporal shelter where we will spend the night. "Loius, go in and sleep." He pointed to a hut right in front of us. "That's my shelter, you can make use of it for the night.""Thank you!" I said and walked in. When I entered, I saw nothing but, large burning candles and a piece of bread beside the mattress. I pushed the items a little bit away from the mattress and laid down to sleep.I slept like a baby and there was no dream whatsoever that came my way that night. After a long night, I awoke in the morning to see Dan laying next to me. He placed his head on my ankles while he snored. I couldn't recall when and how he got and placed himself in that position, without my notice. The worst part of the whole damn thing is that he was snoring like a pig. I'm allergic to snoring, that's true but, he managed to do that for a

The Three-Branched Roads

I was halfway from where I had left the bandits when all of a sudden, I spotted someone riding his horse in my direction. As if that was not enough, he began shouting my name."Louis! Louis, stop!" The individual raised one of his hands as if he was trying to use that to notify me to stop. As expected, I stopped and waited for him to come close. I was not scared of the approaching individual. My reason was a simple one since the individual could call me by my name which means, he was well acquainted with me. Therefore, I believed he was not gonna put me in any harm's way. The closer he came, the more my suspicion grew. I had someone who I suspected him to be. That individual was among those whom I left not long ago. He came to a point where I was able to distinguish him completely from anyone who I previously had in my mind. He was no other person but Dan. Yes, Dan! The very Dan who I had left not long ago, together with his men. I was astonished to see him. 'Was it not a few minutes

Finding The Lost Boy

We arrived at my host's house a few moments later. I was shown much love by the members of her household. The love which her household had shown me, made me feel relaxed and easy with everyone. It was later on, that I learnt the names of the members of her household. Her name was not left out among those whom I have learnt. Her name was Celine. Her husband in particular was a Jovial type and did not hesitate to ask me questions that were rather ridiculous when we were having dinner earlier that night. The name of her husband was Julius and the questions he asked were such that made me believe that he thought I was joking. Of course, I did not hide anything from the family because of the love they all, had shown me. Mr Julius asked about the caravan I was travelling with to Dotham. His question was rather amusing everyone responded to him in the way he was expecting it. We all burst into laughter. I was not exempted from the laughing party.later that night, I was shown a room where
