ROSITA LAUREN’S POV “You will leave this house now that you're 18!” I heard my aunt furiously scream after I blew the candle off my birthday cake. I just turned 18 today. We had a simple celebration where there was pasta, a small chiffon cake, and a one-liter carbonated drink enough for us to share. Rosita Lauren is my name, and I've lived with my aunt for as long as I can remember. My parents abandoned me when I was a baby, so my aunt was forced to keep me after they disappeared. The only thing that they left for me was this golden locket I kept hidden inside my shirt. It’s very precious to me, my aunt told me that it was already on my neck before my parents decided that they don’t want me. She told me to keep it safe because my parents might come back for me someday, which I deeply appreciated. And I won't lie, I wait for them daily. My hopes are always shattered just like the glasses I clumsily carry into my room late at night. My aunt, Teresa, was divorced from her husband, b

ROSITA LAUREN’S POVA wave of exhaustion hit me after the tour around the mansion was over. I’m only grateful because there was a snack waiting for us downstairs in the kitchen.I could feel my knees wobbling because it has been a long time since I walked that far. It still surprises me that the mansion was enormous and wide.Aside from that, I have learned about a lot of things, especially what are the jobs of the other butlers and maids here around the mansion.Edwin was a butler, he does cleaning around the mansion but mostly drives for the boss when Judeo is busy, helping him with that task.Romeo, on the other hand, is a gardener. He supervises the maintenance of the mansion's gardens and trees. He also has a crew that assists him whenever the garden requires general cleaning, which happens every Saturday.Lastly, Pauline is in charge of doing laundry and preparing meals, and she takes turns doing both of these tasks.“Pauline! The master has arrived!” A maid came running to us

ROSITA LAUREN’S POVThe sunlight that crept into my room made me grunt as I slowly opened my eyes, feeling a little sore from my hands to toe.My body never felt so numb before, but I still managed to help myself up while enduring the soreness that I was feeling with my eyes closed.“L-Look! Call someone! She's finally waking up!” I heard someone scream, which forced me to shut my eyes open.“Rosy! Oh my wolf! We were so worried about you!” Pauline immediately ran towards me, holding out my hand. Wolf? I shook my head. I must've heard it wrong.I looked around and noticed that Edwin, Romeo, and Pauline were there, looking at me as if I had risen from death.“W-What happened? It feels like I was bedridden for almost three days,” I mumbled, feeling a little thirsty.Their eyes widened before shaking their heads, “You are bedridden for three days, it got us worried, we thought you were not going to wake up,” “W-What? How did that–” I stopped and remembered touching the red door knob las

KIEFER DY MONTEFALCO’S POVI sprinted back to my room that night. My eyes stared at the woman sleeping in my bedroom before clasping my hands against one another. After hearing what the vampires told him back there, I couldn’t help but worry about what her purpose was in the pack or the vampires.I’m not sure if it was her who they were talking about, but if she was, she is not just a danger to his pack, but also to herself.“I need to learn more about these kinds of creatures,” I mumbled before leaving to read in the study room.Despite that I was lacking sleep, it didn't bother me because aside from vampires roaming around his territory, there are also vampires trying to get in his way on the business tycoon because of his influence. The door creaked wide open until I roamed my eyes around to look for the books about supernatural beings.Pearl city has been a habitat of numerous creatures that are sometimes unknown to humans. Years have passed and everyone noticed that humans are or

ROSITA LAUREN’S POVAt first, I found it hard to roam around the mall because the place was too huge. Some of the aisles of different sections were empty so it wasn't too impossible to get lost.“Wow, I can't believe we have wasted so much time trying to look for just one ingredient,” Paul scratched the back of his head.He was roaming around the whole mall a while ago and ended up looking a little sweaty when he came back to see me, “Rosita, is it alright if we separate ways here so we could go look for things faster?”I looked at him before nodding, “Of course, that is a great idea,” I raised my thumbs before tapping his shoulders.“I'll look on this south aisle then you go look at the north, okay?” I told him, which made him nod before smiling.“Be safe, call or shout my name if something happens,” Paul firmly reminded me before sprinting around the place, grabbing every ingredient that we needed.I also motivated myself to do the same as I went to the south aisle to look for the l
