Chapter Four - Suitcase

ROSITA LAUREN’S POV

After her question, I happily nodded before raising my hands, indicating to the suitcase that the master gave me a while ago.

“I have something to do, I need to bring this to the master's room, my first task from him,” I informed her.

“Oh, you know how to get there, right? He's the only one staying there on the third floor,” Pau mumbled.

“And aside from that, the master also has his room there for his guests and a room where he can work from home,” Edwin added.

“Oh wow, thank you so much, guys, now I just have to pick the biggest door because that's probably where his bedroom is,” I beamed before excusing myself from them.

It wasn’t long until I felt like I was running out of air after I had climbed the grand stairs toward the third floor, “W-Why do the flights have to be far from one another?”

I shook my head and resolved to quit whining before looking at the two-way door leading to the master bedroom.

The doorknob and surrounding furniture were all made of gold. Perhaps the master enjoyed stuff like that a lot.

My feet stopped at the huge door right in front of her before I decided to push a small button near the door, forcing the door to open by itself.

“I could never get used to this,” I mumbled before stepping inside his room. The smell of mint and lemon filled my nose, it felt refreshing somehow.

The cleanliness of his room made my heart flutter since most of the boys I knew back then were not like that, especially Dexter.

My eyes feasted on the clean mats around the room, black, white, and gray was the combination of the sheets and curtains. It was pleasing in the eyes no matter how hard I deny it.

I didn’t realize that I got ahead of myself as I decided to go outside of the terrace, gasping in awe after seeing a magnificent view.

“Wow, it's been a while since I went sightseeing above the mountains,” I happily commented, seeing a few lights from the city lit up because it was almost sunset.

I was forced to hug myself when a cold breeze of a wind embraced my skin, so it was a cue for me that I should go and leave the room.

My eyes noticed something sharp, glancing to the right, and saw a red door. I don’t understand why it piqued my interest, not realizing that I had already approached that door.

The room was totally silent except for the sound of the winds coming from the windows, making me feel a little uneasy.

But that fact didn't stop me from reaching the doorknob of that red door, gasping when I felt some harsh waves of electricity rushing to my veins.

Before I could even stop holding onto that door knob when it started hurting too much, everything went black.

KIEFER DY MONTEFALCO’S POV

I got out of the car while massaging my forehead. My hands reached out to lose my tie and as usual, the mansion was dark and quiet when I entered it.

My precious time was wasted talking to this stupid client just because my people couldn't manage it on their own. I couldn’t blame them, he was offering them too much money to work with what he was requesting.

“Alpha, shall I ask them to make you some dinner?” Judeo popped out of nowhere, which didn't surprise me because I got used to him doing that.

“No need, I'm staying in the room for the night and where is that maid?” I curiously asked, making him smirk.

“I have no idea, Alpha, the last thing I heard from her was she brought your suitcase inside your room,” Judeo massaged his chin.

What he said made me stop before turning to look at him, “Have you told her about the one door she shouldn't touch or open?”

“Shoot, do you think maybe she has touched that?” Judeo looked like he panicked, but I didn't mind him anymore as I sprinted inside my room.

Her scent was lingering in the air so I kept cursing until my eyes widened as I found her there lying unconscious on the cold floor, “Damn it!”

“Since when did she come here to put down that f.ucking suitcase?” I furiously asked the moment Judeo arrived inside my room.

“I-I have no idea, Alpha, I-I…” Judeo immediately kneeled to condemn his mistakes, “I should've paid more attention to her,”

I didn’t mind him as I continued cursing under my breath before deciding to carry her bridal style, stopping the urge to be tempted by her scent.

“Bring the doctors here, I want them to check if she's doing fine,” I solemnly ordered before placing her on my bed.

Judeo immediately left without saying a word. It wasn’t long until the doctors arrived because I had spoken to them at the mind link, and some of them were not surprised that she was a human.

“What's wrong with her, Ron, Vin?” I impatiently asked while watching them touch her hands and some parts of her head.

I couldn't understand why I was pissed off seeing them do that to her but decided to shake my head while trying to calm myself down.

“She's going to be fine, she was electrocuted from that red door,” Ronald Blitz casually informed us.

“But of course, there will be side effects especially because you found her late when that happened,” Vincent chimed in.

“The pain, tingling, numbness, weakness, or difficulty moving a limb will probably last for some time or could be permanent, let's just hope that this won't affect her nervous system,” He added.

“She's lucky your volt for that door isn't that high a while ago or she could've died,” Ron sighed deeply, “But don't worry, we'll make sure that she will be fine, she'll probably wake up day or two,”

I clenched my fists because hours had already passed before I found her lying on that cold floor. I wanted to blame myself because this happened to her.

“Is she a new maid?” Vin curiously asked before looking at me, he probably noticed the solemn look on my face.

“She is a newly hired maid today and next time, be sure that you tell her the details she needed to avoid and remember,” I  furiously glanced at my beta, who instantly bowed his head.

I just shook my head disappointedly, “I'll be sleeping in the guest room, you may all leave and I'll speak with you tomorrow again when you check up on her,” I ordered before leaving to take a bath.

After some time, I was silently drying my hair while going around my spacious, tidy room. My family had already left, and I was staring at the woman who lay on my bed.

If I was not with myself, I would have taken advantage of her right away, just like I do whenever a woman is lying on my bed.

Seeing her that defenseless made me want to do something to her as I slowly approached her as if I was a predator, wanting or stalking my prey.

I stopped when my eyes saw her angelic face. I hated the fact that I was immediately drawn by it, especially to her scent.

It was tempting me to touch, feel, or even embrace her because of the alluring scent that she has been emitting.

She had bright emerald eyes, and long wavy locks of hazelnut hair, and her skin was fair making her lips shine bright in pink.

I also couldn't deny the blessed body that she has. She probably has a better figure compared to the models I had slept with before.

Even if she doesn't have any makeup on her face, she already stands out perfectly. What more if she wore a dress or even fixed herself?

My hands reached out to some strands of her hair and were about to kiss it when I instantly pulled away while shaking my head.

“I can't afford to be distracted by you, I still have someone to defeat and you're not included in my plans,” I muttered before glancing at the red door.

It was a sacred room that no one had gone to before aside from me. I go there when I want to train or speak with people that are like me.

“Tss, why do you have to touch that red door? Curiosity could kill you,” I whispered while clenching my fists.

I sat down on the sofa right away to watch her sleep all night, and it was absolutely fascinating watching a human sleep.

It almost surprised me because I didn't even realize that morning had already come so I had to get ready for work today, especially the important meetings I need to attend.

A soft knock from the door was to be heard, forcing me to stand up before stepping away from the bed.

The door went wide open, making me a little anxious because my beta was already staring at me strangely.

“Alp-master, what are you doing here? I thought you were going to sleep in the guest room?” Judeo raised his eyebrows, “Don't tell me you stayed here for–”

“Shut up and ready my things, Judeo, I have to be at the company by seven,” I almost growled before proceeding to the bathroom to take a bath.

“He stayed here the whole night watching her, ha, interesting!” I heard Judeo's comment, but I didn’t mind him.

JUDEO ALBERT’S POV

After wondering why my Alpha stayed the whole inside his room with Rosita, I decided to pace downstairs to ask the maids to prepare his meal since Rosita is still unconscious.

I was planning to go upstairs until one of the admirable women in the pack approached me. She was close to Rosita the last time I saw her.

“U-Uh, Judeo, have you seen Rosita yesterday?” Pau bit her lower lip, “I-I heard that she didn't come back to the maid's chamber last night so I was wondering if maybe you saw her?”

I sighed deeply before nodding, “W-Well I forgot to tell her about the red door and we found her unconscious last night,”

“O-Oh no, she was electrocuted?! Was she found out immediately?” Pauline worriedly asked, but I shook my head.

“Unfortunately, we found her late so she's staying at the…” I restrained myself when I realized that it was not time to tell them about her being their Alpha's mate, “The infirmary on the third floor,”

“Oh? Here I thought that she quit already,” Some of our people chuckle, which forced me to raise my gaze.

“I suggest that you treat her more kindly, you don't want to anger the Alpha, would you?” I amusingly smirked.

“Why would it anger the Alpha if we don't treat her kindly?” A woman in their pack wondered while carrying some furniture, but I didn’t answer them.

Pauline looked like she was a bit confused, but I was sure that she won’t ask any more questions because she’ll figure that out herself.

All of them were busy preparing for the morning until the Alpha went down the stairs, forcing all of them to bow their heads.

“I want to remind you all that whenever a new maid arrives here, you all have to inform her about that red door,” Alpha Kiefer stands at the center of the grand staircase.

“If something like this happens again, you'll all be facing trouble,” After he said those words, he casually went down before leaving the mansion. I knew that something was going on about him, but is still confused.

I decided to follow him before facing our people, “Remember everyone, be nice especially when Rosita wakes up,”

Everyone looked highly confused because the Alpha was threatening them about how they would treat Rosita.

I’m sure that this would bother them the whole day before I peered at the people who were close to Rosita.

“I don't understand, it was the first time I saw the Alpha act like that,” Edwin commented while massaging his chin.

Pauline didn't mind anyone as she held onto Romeo and Edwin's hand, “Let’s go visit her at the infirmary on the third floor,” She suggested.

“She's there? What happened when she delivered the suitcase, was she lost?” Edwin sounded a little worried.

“N-No she was electrocuted by the red door and was being tended to on the third floor, Judeo told me,” Pauline informed them.

“Why would she be there? Usually, when someone's injured they're being taken down here at the lobby to be placed in our public infirmary,”

“I know right? What is up with that woman? Does she know the Alpha back then, it seems like he cares so much about her?”  Pauline looked like she was wondering and I knew that from now on, things will be interesting.

“Take good care of her, everyone, we’ll be leaving,” After I said those words, I went to catch up with the Alpha.

To be continued…
