Lahat ng Kabanata ng Loving The Alpha King Instead : Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

There were days that I felt like my eyes were lying to me. Like that one time, I was five years old, when I was eating lemon and thought it was oranges and even went to the former Luna to ask what it actually was, and it was actually apple and I was eating too much. This time, it was Lucius, and I don’t know if he’s an actual apple or I just see it as him. He looked down at me smiling before extending his hand in my rugged state. What does he think of me now that I’m still wearing the same clothes I did from the last time we were stuck in that cave? I bite my lip, stopping myself from running away from this embarrassing moment. He’s the Alpha King. This was actually happening and he’s the most powerful werewolf in history. I should have known that when he showed me his true form. That godly black wolf with crimson eyes staring down at me in the forest a month and two days ago. I should have known. As if he was some almighty savior, the sunlight illuminated his back creating an immacu

“Why are you here?” Lucius directly asked her, tone bland of any emotions. “I’m here to let you see the painting the both of us bought!” she exclaimed. I peered up at what was happening, she was grinning from ear-to-ear in front of Lucius. What a bitch.“What I’m asking you is why are you barging in my room like that?” I see Raine’s eyes widen in confusion, a nervous chuckle coming out of her. “We’re both in the auction! Of course I’ll be friendly!” She smiled. I roll my eyes once more.“The painting, it looked like you! you were a beautiful baby!” she smiled and I saw Lucius’ eyes change subtly. What, is he already falling for her?I felt the bed creaked as they both sat in it. “You’re not the real Luna, right?” Lucius directly asked and my eyes bursted wide. Why in the world would he say that?“Oh! Did I say I was back then? I-uh, well the real Luna was clearly demoted because of her personality!” she chuckled hesitantly. I clench my fist from under the bed. “Oh, really?” I can sme

“Hurry the fuck up!” I rush to throw the garbage outside, the can heavy with dirt and whatever shit they throw in here. I try my best to stop myself from breathing in the intolerable smell.A sigh of relief overcame me when I finally dumped it out. Now time to get this grime of a uniform off of my skin. Goodness, I need to take a bath. I walk back to the door, a few meters away from me. I smell my uniform once again as a whip of wind comes splashing.“Should I shower to—” I wasn’t able to continue talking or even walk when someone had their hand tight on my mouth. “We got her!” Another person from behind rustles out of the bush and they drag me to the forest. The panic rose in me and I instantly threw my head back, hitting the person grabbing me in the chin. I bite her hand causing her to stagger stepping back.“She’s biting, fuck! Hold her!” Two other people go to lunge at me and I circle them. “What do you want?!” I shout, hoping that it was at least loud enough for any of the Ome

Thankfully, the room was peacefully empty when I came back. There was no sign of Calvin hiding anywhere. I even checked the covers and under the bed to make sure he’s not here to do something I’m sure I won’t be able to stop him from.Tomorrow morning came. They stationed all Omegas to help prepare for the ceremony to bid the King goodbye. The Alpha King rarely goes out of the palace, and so do his subordinates. I’m sure if you’re the ruler of every single pack there is, someone who stands at the top of the hierarchy, you would be packed with workloads. I cringe as I reckon the image of myself drowned under Penston Pack’s work trying to impress a man I’m sure I’ll never be able to get. And now, here comes Lucius, having the exact effect on me. But I’ve already promised myself that there’s no repeating. To endure it once more for the sake of love is stupidity.Since last midnight, I haven't heard Calvin or Elliot. I assume he’s taking care of the Alpha’s duties considering he’s the B

“I said, what is happening here?” Lucius walks towards us, his gaze shifting between me and Aaron.“I-this isn’t . . .” I shake my head, trying to find the right words that wouldn’t get us killed. However, my mind goes back to what happened earlier. So what if he thinks I have other men with me? He wasn’t man enough to announce what we have, or at least what we shared together. It wasn’t love. But it wouldn’t have hurt to tell everyone that I’m his woman. Just until he found his mate. “You know what?I should go—” Aaron was about to step away when I pushed him back to the tree and faced Lucius who’s anger doubled.“Why should me being with Aaron a problem?” I ask, raising my head. “Maryna, you shouldn’t talk like that to the King!” Aaron whispered angrily at me, dabbing on my side.I turned to him and rolled my eyes, but still gave in. “I-I don’t think my relationship with the bookkeeper should astound you at all, Your Highness.” I fixed my wording.Lucius stood there, his eyes shifti
