Steve walked to his black car and opened the door, still lost in thought. As soon as he sat down, he took a deep breath and reached for his phone. A soft breeze passed through the curtains of Gabby’s bedroom window. She had turned off the lights and was now lying in bed, staring at the ceiling. Her mind was full of thoughts , mostly about what Steve had told her about werewolves. To her, it was all still hard to believe, but somehow, deep inside, it didn’t feel like a lie.
