“How do you know if I want to talk about it?” I asked Alpha Matthew. “It's not too hard to guess, Mate. I have thousands of surveillance cameras in every packhouse alley.” Alpha Matthew rolled his eyes. “But do you know who did it?” I asked. Alpha Matthew whispered. “That's not Lorraine. I gave an order for Lorraine's parents to lock Lorraine up a week later. She's so mischievous and should get good guidance from her parents.” “If it's not Lorraine then who is it? I have no problem with anyone but Lorraine and Julie Duke,” I muttered. Alpha Matthew was silent, he sighed then said, “Go inside. I need help tidying up my messy bookshe

I was taken aback by my dad’s reaction. I had never seen him so angry before and I didn’t understand why he was so upset. I left the house, feeling hurt and confused, and went to Alpha Matthew’s house to find some peace. When I arrived, Alpha Matthew could see that something was wrong. I told him what had happened and broke down in tears, crying for the first time in front of someone else. Alpha Matthew comforted me and listened as I told him about the argument with My dad.Alpha Matthew comforted me, reminding me that it wasn’t my fault for asking about the substance that had poisoned his parents. He encouraged me to focus on finding out the truth and making things right, rather than dwelling on the argument with her father.I took Alpha Matthew’s words to heart and dried her tears. Sh

“I’m saying that Alpha Hughes knew the risks and he didn’t care,” Alpha Matthew replied. “He wanted the power and the prestige that came with being the Alpha, and he was willing to do anything to get it, even if it meant endangering the lives of innocent people.”“That can’t be true,” Hannah protested. “Alpha Hughes was always so dedicated to the pack. He wouldn’t have done something like this. I repeatedly read history books and they were fine with Alpha Hughes.”“I’m sorry, Hannah, but it’s true,” Alpha Matthew said firmly. “The scientist from the Alabama Paw’s Pack confirmed it. Alpha Hughes deliberately used the Nightshade in his research, and he covered it up when things started to go wrong. Alpha Hughes tried to slander Beta Hugo indirectly.” There was a long silence in the room as everyone absorbed what Alpha Matthew had just said.“I had no idea,” Dad said finally, his voice barely above a whisper. “I had no idea that he was capable of something like this.”“I know, Hugo,” Al

Lorraine was startled to see Alpha Matthew walking towards her. She looked down.“Honour you, Alpha Matthew.”“I accept your honour, unfortunately you have disappointed me once again. I have no other choice, Lorraine.”“No, no! Don’t kick us out of the Ethereal Hunters,” Lorraine gripped Alpha Matthew’s hand.Alpha Matthew dismissed her hand.“I will not tolerate people who disobey my orders. You’ve already hurt my soulmate,” Alpha Matthew growled.“But Alpha, I apologise for what I did. Please give me another chance,” Lorraine begged. “Your apology is too late. Your actions have consequences. You should have thought about that before you did it,” Alpha Matthew said firmly. “Please Alpha, I promise to never do it again. I’ll make it up to you and Lauryn,” Lorraine pleaded. Alpha Matthew considered for a moment. “I’ll give you one last chance, but if you mess up again, I won’t hesitate to kick you out of the Ethereal Hunters. Do you understand?”Lorraine nodded her head frantically.

The next morning when I woke up. I heard a noise from downstairs. I came out of the grand room and saw Alpha Matthew and Dad who were talking to many people dressed in black. I heard that they were spies that Alpha Matthew was going to send to the Highcrown Walkers. “Good morning, Mrs Balzano. Would you like some rose tea?” a servant greeted me.“Rose tea?” I frowned.“That's right. Rose tea is Alpha Matthew's most favourite tea. It is a tea passed down from Alpha Matthew's ancestors. Besides, rose tea has many benefits."I nodded and took a cup of rose tea from the servant. I took a sip and was pleasantly surprised by the sweet and fragrant taste."This rose tea is delicious," I complimented. "What are the benefits of rose tea?""Rose tea is known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can help with digestion, boost immunity, and calm the mind," the servant explained."Thank you for the information," I said and took another sip of the tea.I continued to enjoy the
