“We have landed at the airport. Thank you for traveling with Safe Travels Line.” Thank God, I’ve finally arrived safely back in my hometown. The last time I left this place, I was just a boy heading abroad to pursue my studies. That was five years ago. Now, I’ve returned—not as a boy, but as a grown man and a proud graduate. I know my parents will be overjoyed and proud of me. My name is Gilan June. I’m the only son of my parents, their pride and joy. They adore me deeply, and I love them just as much. I’m also the firstborn child, with a younger sister named Juliet. My father is the king of our land, which makes me a prince. My mother is the queen, and Juliet is our beautiful princess. Our family is greatly respected in the kingdom. The palace is heavily guarded at all times. I’ve always felt incredibly blessed to be born into royalty. It came with many privileges—one of them being the opportunity to study abroad. “My prince, the car is here,” my driver called out. He had come to pick me up from the airport. “Alright, let’s go,” I replied as I led the way. He carried my luggage, and we made our way outside. As we stepped into the open air, I took a deep breath. The fresh scent of home filled my lungs, bringing back countless memories. I had missed this place more than I realized. “At last... I’m back. This feels so good,” I said with a smile on my face. “My prince, it seems you really missed this place,” James, the driver, said warmly. “I can see it in your eyes.” James had served our family for many years. He was more than just a worker—he was a trusted companion. I remembered how close we used to be; I could tell him anything, and he was always someone I could rely on to keep a secret. “Yes, James. I missed it terribly. But more than anything, I missed my parents. I can only imagine how eagerly they’re waiting for me at the palace. I can’t wait to see them,” I said sincerely. “They certainly are, my prince. So let’s not delay any longer,” James replied, and I nodded in agreement. He placed my bag in the trunk and got behind the wheel. As we drove, I rolled down the window and gazed outside, curious to see how much had changed in my absence. The transformation was noticeable—there had been a lot of development. My father was clearly leading the kingdom in the right direction. He had always been a great ruler, loved by all. The palace was about thirty minutes away from the airport. James drove carefully, and soon, we arrived. Even from a distance, I could see that the palace had been renovated. It looked nothing like it did when I left—it was now more elegant, modern, and majestic. “The prince has arrived!” one of the guards called out. The gatekeeper opened the gates, and James drove us inside. After parking the car, I stepped out. “Welcome home, my prince,” the palace maids greeted me warmly. I smiled at them, touched by the heartfelt welcome. Standing at the entrance, I saw my parents holding bouquets of roses. I walked toward them and hugged them tightly. I had missed them more than words could express. I couldn’t believe I had spent so many years without them by my side. “Welcome home, son,” my father said proudly. “Thank you, Father. I missed you all so much. I’m grateful to find you alive and well,” I replied. “And we’re grateful you’ve returned safe and sound,” my mother added, handing me the roses. “Thank you, Mother. But... where’s Juliet? I don’t see her here,” I asked, looking around. “Oh, she’s at the university. But she promised she would come home to see you,” my mother explained. “Do you miss your sister that much?” my father asked with a smile. “Very much. We haven’t been in touch often lately,” I admitted. “She’s just been busy, dear. But you’ll see her soon,” my father reassured me. “Alright then, let’s head inside,” my mother said cheerfully. “There’s plenty of food waiting for you. Are you hungry?” I could already imagine the delicious dishes she had prepared. I’d missed the local cuisine so much, and today, I planned to eat until I was full. “I’m starving, Mother,” I said honestly. As I entered the palace, one of the guards carried my bag to my room. I was exhausted, and all I wanted was to eat and rest. I’d take a walk around the town later once I’d had a good nap. “Mmmh... Mother, this food is amazing. I missed these flavors so much,” I said as I dug into the meal. “I’m glad you like it, son. Everything was prepared especially for you,” she replied, clearly pleased. “Thank you, Mother. I think I’ll go rest in my room now,” I said, starting to rise—but then my father stopped me. “There’s something important I need to tell you,” he said in a serious tone. I sat back down, sensing the weight in his voice. “What is it, Father? Please tell me,” I said. “Well... someone has been waiting for your return,” he began. “Do you remember Amara, your girlfriend? She’s been eagerly waiting to reconnect with you. And after speaking with her family, we’ve decided it’s time for the two of you to get married.” His words shocked me. Amara? I had almost forgotten about her. It had been so long. We hadn’t spoken in years, and the truth was, our relationship had ended long ago. I didn’t love her anymore. “Marriage? Father, why would you decide such a thing without consulting me first? I’m not sure I want to marry her,” I said, trying to keep calm. “You will marry her,” he replied firmly. “Everything has already been arranged with her family.” I turned to my mother. “Mother, what is happening? Why are you both rushing this decision?” Without waiting for a reply, I stood and walked away, heading to my room. I needed time to think and clear my mind. I don’t want to marry Amara. She’s the last person I could imagine spending the rest of my life with. No matter what, I will not go through with this marriage."What on earth are you doing!" I grumbled this time."Oops! I'm sorry, Mum. It seems to be a technical mishap," Violet replied, quickly covering her own mouth in fear.I wiped the greasy cream off my face, which now felt excessively oily due to the explosion. The aroma of curry only made me feel queasier."Are you alright, Mum?" Violet asked, concerned."I'll be fine as long as you stop causing chaos," I growled."I won't cause any more chaos," Violet muttered."Why do you seem more and more like Kylo?" I questioned."Maybe I'm destined to be like him," Violet said before darting away."Hey!""Leave it be, she's going through puberty. She's done a lot in just one week," Alpha Matthew intervened."It's only been five years, and yet everything feels so complicated," I sighed."Indeed, time has a way of presenting us with unforeseen challenges," Alpha Matthew agreed."Seems like our little Violet is becoming quite the character," he added, a hint of amusement in his voice."Yes, indeed.
"How dare you tell me to wake up? Who do you think you are, huh?" I voiced my frustration."Didn't I already mention that I can be sent and play along with human assumptions?" Violet replied."You--""You were sound asleep after basking under the Flower Moon. Don't you know that your energy could go to waste? Get to work and earn your blessings," she grumbled.Suddenly, a firm grip made me wince in pain.I opened my eyes to find Violet biting down on my right arm."What on earth are you doing?" I gritted my teeth."You're so difficult to wake up, Mum," she replied matter-of-factly.I couldn't help but chuckle at her determination. "Well, I should be grateful for your unconventional alarm clock."Violet released her hold, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "You're welcome, Mum."As I rubbed my arm, a mix of pain and amusement filled my heart. Parenting certainly had its unexpected moments, and Violet's unique ways of rousing me from slumber were a testament to that. With a n
"Grr!" Charlotte growled. It was the first time I had seen Charlotte's wolf form, resembling more of a Himalayan fox."Well, this is quite an entertaining transformation, grr!" Jamien chuckled."Thanks to the brilliant glow of the Flower Moonlight, I feel blessed," Charlotte giggled."GRR!""Who's that?" I asked, bewildered."Perhaps there are other guards undergoing transformations too," Alpha Matthew murmured."It's me, you dolt!""But it sounds like Troy's voice," Alpha Matthew mused."Seems like you're not the brightest wolf either, Matthew. Being a werewolf should make you hear my telepathy," Troy grumbled."Oh! It's a mindlink!" Charlotte squealed. As the realization dawned upon us, we were caught in a blend of astonishment and amusement. The unexpected turn of events added a thrilling twist to the evening, and we couldn't help but embrace the enchantment that surrounded us."Let's enjoy this newfound connection, shall we?" I suggested a mischievous glint in my eyes.Alpha Matth
"I had fun with Violet," Kylo responded."But that's not how you have fun," Kate argued.Kylo lowered his head, seeking our forgiveness. "I'm sorry for causing you trouble this morning. I know everything I did was a big mistake, but believe me, I did it because I wanted you to remember me.""What do you mean, little one?" Alpha Matthew raised an eyebrow."I won't come here again after this because I have to train continuously and think about the future of my Pack," Kylo explained."Are you not going to visit anymore?" Violet interjected. "What about our plans to experiment?""You can experiment on your own, Vio," Kylo replied."I'm too young to experiment without the supervision of someone more experienced," Violet replied."Wait for me until we're both grown up," Kylo confidently answered."But we're werewolves, right?" Violet asked."Well, we are werewolves.""What if we don't meet again after we grow up?" Violet questioned."Don't worry. We will meet again. Let's make a promise in
After the stranger had left, I remained lost in my thoughts for quite some time before finally snapping back to reality and making my way home. As I exited the car, I found Alpha Matthew waiting on the front porch, sipping on a glass of wine that seemed to have materialised from thin air."You look rather sad, my dear. Are you still upset about the roses mishap?" he inquired, his voice filled with concern."Not really. It's just that the car broke down, and it infuriated me. I had to pull over on the side of the road, and luckily, a peculiar stranger was kind enough to help me. If I had called you, I probably would have been stuck in the car for two hours because you never answered your phone," I grumbled, voicing my frustration."Oh, my poor soulmate. But you're alright, aren't you? No unwanted injuries, I hope?" Alpha Matthew set down his glass and proceeded to examine my body, making sure I was unharmed."I experienced a car breakdown, not a robbery," I retorted, rolling my eyes.A
"Why the bloody hell are you here, you little rascal?" Jake bellowed as he yanked the sheep toys out of the swimming pool, clearly annoyed.Alpha Matthew clenched his fists, feeling the anger rise within him, but he bit his tongue, unable to respond.I mumbled to myself, searching for Kylo. "Where in the world is that darn kid?""Mummy! What are you doing over there? Do you fancy a swim on this freezing morning?" Violet shouted as she shuffled over, clutching her milk bottle. "Ouch! Sheep! I want to take a bite!""Violet, have you finished your toast?" I attempted to change the subject, hoping to steer the conversation away from the chaotic scene."I'm all done with my toast, Mum," Violet replied, her tiny voice filled with determination."Then go and put on your school uniform, love. You'll be late if you keep lingering here," I said, gently urging her to move along. As Violet hurried off to get ready for school, I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhaustion.
