"Faith! What's wrong? Please, calm down." William cooed to the broken girl in front of him. She was having a panic attack. Her little human heart was pounding in her chest, and she was gasping for breath through her choked sobs, with a torrential downpour raining upon her cheeks, shaking violently. She hadn't been in his world for more then an hour and a half, yet already she was close to a break down. William inwardly chastised himself for his earlier actions. What had he expected really? He told the girl blood-sucking nightmares were all around her, and then informed her that she was his prisoner for two whole weeks, before proceeding to lock her up alone in her bedroom. "Mi angioletto... please calm down." He pleaded as he held her close to his chest. "N-no..." She choked out, still trying to fight him, although lacking the strength to push him away. As if she were a baby, he rocked her in her arms tenderly, trying to bring her back to peace. He stroked her soft brown curls awa

The next day Faith awoke to a cold, empty bed. She had had many ghastly dreams the previous night, circling around her sister and someone she would rather not mention. It took her eyes a couple of moments to get accustomed to the darkness, before she realised what had awoken her in the first place – a knocking at the door. She knew it couldn't be William – the knock was very dainty and delicate, the work of a woman. Faith recalled William mentioning something about a sister yesterday, and she had no power to stop whoever was coming in anyway, but still she felt nervous, daunted even. This was the first person who she officially knew to be a vampire (besides William) that she would be in contact with."Erm, come... come in." She called out, gulping slightly and sitting up in bed.Almost immediately, the door was flung open, causing Faith to jump, and a young girl came bounding in, sucking on a lollypop. Her shape already had the beginnings of womanhood, yet Faith doubted she was more t

William left after his tantrum, casting a dark cloud on the mood. Florence apologised for his behaviour, but it wasn't what Faith wanted to hear. Faith felt that if he was actually sorry for his treatment of her then he should have apologised himself. Sensing she wasn't in the mood to talk, Florence ordered breakfast in bed and switched her telly on, allowing Faith to choose a movie. They were halfway through the timeless Pride and Prejudice when there was a timid knock on the door, and William poked his head in, requesting to talk to Faith alone. Florence rolled her eyes and told them to play nice, before leaving the room and causing an awkward silence to grow."Hi Faith..." William began, swallowing loudly. "Are you ok? Well, of course you're not. I am really sorry about what happened earlier – I was just worried because I thought maybe someone with less then honourable interests took you, and then I was angry because I thought you ran away from me. There is no excuse really, but I'

Faith didn't sleep well that night, watching over her sister as she slept soundly. She was still mixed in her feelings – she was so glad Hope was under her watchful eye now, but she also wanted her as far away from the twisted world she had been dumped in as possible. She didn't know how long she actually slept for, constantly drifting in and out of the mire of dysfunction and jumping awake at the slightest noise. The door was the only thing separating Faith and Hope from the blood sucking monsters outside, who had the keys to enter as they pleased. Faith felt extremely vulnerable and disconnected from the world, not even knowing whether it was day or night. She had been tiredly resting for what felt like hours before she heard a timid knock on the door, a voice soon announcing that it was Florence. Faith wondered if William had instructed her to keep them busy or whether she was really just that bored to keep hanging out with humans. Hope jumped awake, rubbing the tiredness out of he

One week down... Faith thought to herself as she continued writing in the notepad Katherine had thoughtfully supplied to her. It had been one hell of a week, but she was slowly becoming accustomed to life in the dark. She was definitely much more relaxed, and maybe even... happy. Whether this was a good or bad thing, Faith was yet to decide. She had spent most of her time with Florence and Katherine (and of course her sister was stuck to her like a Siamese twin), and had made a new friend in the maid called Lizzie. At first Lizzie was actually scared of Faith - or more correctly of what William would do if she upset her, but she had gotten over her fear when Faith asked her for help braiding her hair. She had also met the fourth sibling; John. He was incredibly charming and flirtatious, but Faith saw through his teasing mannerisms. How different he was from his brother! Faith guessed that William had to be the more grownup, sensible one as he was the future King of his people. How wei

"Faith wake up!" Someone shouted to her whilst she was deep in the depths of sleep.Jolting awake, sleep still clawing at her brain to shut back down, she was alarmed to find William's brother John shaking her in a panic. Hope also awoke, falling off the bed in fright."Quickly! There is not much time! William has asked me to collect you both as there has been a breach - we are moving you to a safe location with my mother and sister's."Faith tried to digest all that John was saying as he grabbed her wrist and started pulling her towards the door, grabbing her discarded dressing gown on the way."W-what? A breach? Hope hurry up! By who?" Faith stuttered, reaching behind to pull a dazed Hope along with her as they reached the elevator."I can't tell you right now, please hurry up, the alarms will go off in forty seconds and William instructed me to have you two locked up by the time that happens!" John insisted, pulling the girls along at a speed which barely allowed their feet to touc

After a delayed heartbeat of a moment bounced by, everyone frozen in shock, the guards jumped into action and unlocked the door, ripping the vampire off the man with some difficulty. As soon as the door swung open the mans gurgled howls of pain assaulted the room, as he convulsed on the floor. The vampire was desperately trying to escape to finish off his victim, as he was in a blood lust. A red strand of spittle was hanging from his left canine, swing precariously with every attempted lunge he made towards his dying victim.Florence and Viola rushed forward to help the poor man, but Viola had to retreat as she felt her most primal urges coming out to play. Faith saw her eyes flicker momentarily from green to black, making her take an unconscious step back further into the room, holding her sobbing sister close. Faith felt... numb. That could have been her, or worse, her sister. She was a fool for thinking she was safe. How could anyone be safe around these creatures? They were always

William wasn't happy with Faith's choice, but almost everyone else agreed that she could help the situation, and they needed as much help as they could get. John was in the process of setting a peaceable meeting up with the Vampire Hunters, which was putting everyone on edge. Faith had been trying to calm Hope down all day, who was not taking the idea of being trapped among vampires very well. She had taken to barricading the bedroom door, and went through a series of crying, screaming, and rambling. Faith didn't have the heart to tell her that vampires had super strength, and could open the door equally as easily with the wardrobe now dumped in front of it. Faith wasn't sure what to do; she had never seen her little sister like this! Usually the cool, open and tough one Hope had had very little freak-outs in her life. Of course, Faith understood her fear, but she wasn't sure what to do to calm her down. She wasn't sure if anything could be done!Eventually Faith was done trying to co

Faith's heartbeat rocketed in her chest, something that William must have noticed as his eyes sharpened."There is no reason for you to be scared Faith. I would never hurt you." William stressed.Did she believe him? He hadn't given her a reason not to. Well, not yet anyway. Since the beginning, he had insisted he was protecting her, and would always do so. Faith was coming to learn that William was treating her more then as his captive. Like his friend or familial member maybe. She wasn't sure how she would cope if it were anything more then that. Her secret wishes were forbidden to the very back of her mind."Ok William." She murmured with a blush gracing her cheeks, a blush William had come to love."You know Faith, every Monday – which is tomorrow by the way, there is a market on the top level. Would you like to come with me? For educational purposes obviously.""A vampire market?" She asked incredulously."Yes, it may help you with your studies of us." William shrugged with a gri

Sighing, Faith wondered what would happen when her memory was wiped. She couldn't imagine her thoughts not ever straying to William or his twisted world for a day, let alone not remembering it forever more! In five short, short days, she would be back to boring old Faith, working too hard and stressing over a boy who wasn't worth it, and a degree that would take her in the direction of a life she did not want. The whole thing was rather morbid. She wondered if she would dream about William sometimes, or remember snippets of their time together, but she had a feeling that the slate would be wiped clean and she truly would not remember a thing.Although Faith missed dancing under the twinkle of a thousand fairy lights, the feel of wet grass beneath her feet, and the crisp salty air swirling through her hair, she had grown to feel comfortable with a simple life hidden from humanity. She never liked people that much anyway. Also, vampires weren't all that bad. Of course, it was always dau
