Leigh stiffened at the mischievous glint she caught in Rocky’s eyes when they met hers. Then, she watched in horror when he started walking in her direction. Leigh felt like a mouse caught in a trap. She did not know whether to jump up from her seat and leave the cafeteria or stay and let Rocky approach her. She braced for the worse, mentally preparing herself for a word match with him, but to her dismay, it did not happen. When Rocky pushed himself to his full height and started walking, Leigh was sure that he would approach her. He was looking at her, but when the distance between them closed, she felt his eyes pass through her. She remained frozen in her seat, waiting for Rocky’s slowmo approach, expecting him to stop by her table with Adam Fowler. Then, to her consternation, he brushed past her when he reached her side and continued walking until he stopped at the center of the cafeteria where his usual table was located, ignoring her and the others who gawked at him

Despite the heads up from Sam, Leigh pretended not to see Rocky Bolton. She had all the intention to brush past him and ignore him. But Rocky would have none of that. He grabbed her hand and dragged her away. It was so swift, no one had the time to react, even Sam. They all eyed Leigh struggling under Rocky’s tight grip. “Let go!” Leigh snarled. She grabbed Rocky’s hand - the one holding hers in a tight grip to pull it off - to no avail. Rocky was angry. They arrived at an abandoned classroom. Rocky pushed her inside. Leigh struggled but was no match for Rocky’s superior strength. When Rocky let go, Leigh stepped back, suddenly afraid at the menace she saw in his gaze. He looked angry and dangerous. “Why was our engagement canceled? Was it you who told them?” He lashed out. It was a sore sight. Rocky very rarely displays anger. Most of the time, he smirks before causing trouble for her. But this time, it was different. He was so angry and struggling to control it

She rose quickly from her seat, scanning the area for another vacant table.  Rocky must have anticipated what she was about to do, and issued an order using his most calm voice. The one he used to control her.  “Stay!”  He commanded.  Against her will, she dropped to her seat like a trained puppy.  She followed his command.  She could not help it. When you have been following Rocky’s orders for years, it has become a habit, and breaking a habit is tough. You need to condition yourself over and over again.  It must start with a conscious decision to disobey. And disobedience takes a lot of courage.  The courage which she does not possess at the moment. 

 Leigh could feel her body softening at the touch of Rocky’s mouth.  She could feel herself melting.  Then, Rocky played with her lips and her guards were down. The defenses she erected and surrounded herself with in almost a year without him crumpled one by one.   He coaxed her lips and as usual, she felt her body respond. Her gut tightened at the pressure inside her.  She opened her mouth to give his tongue access to her mouth and her tongue.  Now, their tongues were caught in a duel. Leigh felt her body tense. She could feel the heat spreading through her face and neck.  She wrapped her hands around Rocky’s neck pulling his head closer for a more intimat

Leigh rolled her eyes. ‘What for?’Her mind was quick to point out. Except she never uttered those words because she did not think it would matter.  Rocky would never take her side. She chose to maintain her silence and brushed past him to walk in the direction of the cafeteria. A while later, she noticed people looking curiously at her. The football players stopped their practice when she passed by.  Even the people lounging at the grassy quadrangle turned their heads in her direction one by one.  It looked comical, but horror flashed to her face when she realized what could have triggered those responses. Rocky!  Nobody would gather that kind of reaction except Rocky.  Temper flaring for the second time that day, Leigh whipped her head around, ready to scold him.  The chiding words never left her mouth because, to her horror, she found five popular guys following he
