Chapter 20: Brad
The phone rang brightening Vevina’s mood at once. Picking it up at the first ring she answered, “Yes, Yaretzi speaking.”“Good evening ma’am, there is a man here claiming to have been invited to the penthouse, can we ask Mr. Tynen if he gives his permission or not?” the lady at the helpdesk asked Vevina.“Just send him up,” Vevina said, understanding that it must have been Margo’s boyfriend.“Sorry ma’am for safety reasons we cannot do that,” the lady hesitantly said, angering Vevina. What did they mean? She was this close to getting her revenge so who were they to stop her.“Do I need to remind you who I am? I am sure you understand my status by the mere fact that I live in the same penthouse as Alastor,” she said purposely using his first name to show her superiority unlike all the employees who were forced to call him respectfully by his surname. That made the worker nervous, unable to make a decision now. According to Mr. Tynen, she wasn’t allowed to let anyone in unless instructe

Chapter 21: Trust
Alastor was almost a blur before Vevina’s eyes.As soon as he came he had thrown Brad to the wall and without even a second’s delay he was grabbing him again. He punched him until he broke his nose with blood spilling out from the crooked bone and raptured skin.“How dare you touch her? You filthy human! How could you touch my mate?”In his anger Alastor had almost been ready to kill him by ripping out his head from his body but he had to stop himself from doing that. Chapter 22: Overcoming a fear
“Don’t think this means that you escaped your punishment,” Alastor said in a grim voice. His countenance now changed completely. He couldn’t just let go of the fact that Vevina had tried to go to another man even if it meant that she was only trying to spite him out of her jealousy. With the two chess pieces dead in their game he could finally focus on her and make her understand how she was to behave now that she was with him. That she only belonged to him.“What do you mean?” Vevina asked not really minding the punishment knowing well enough that she usually liked them all.“You will have to wait and see but first let’s get that man’s stench off your body. You stink!” Alastor grimaced, making a face causing Vevina to lift her arm to her nose and take a sniff. To her she didn’t smell any different but playing along with whatever Alastor wanted to do she let him carry her into the bathroom.“I am going to scrub his touch off your body but before I do that we have to clean your mouth.

Chapter 23: I love you
The next day when Vevina woke up she found herself being watched by two big blue eyes smiling at her.“What do you want?” she asked, her voice still groggy from the sleep. Rubbing her eyes as she removed some sleep dust from it she realized that Alastor had been dressed to go somewhere.“Are you going somewhere?” she asked, sitting up, making Alastor smile at the clear disappointment casted on her face.“I am sorry Vina, I don’t want to but I have to work,” Alastor smiled, feeling it to be a sin to leave his mate so despondent and cute, alone. At the word ‘work’ Vevina’s frown deepened with more wrinkles on her forehead she asked, “You aren’t going to bring back another woman today too, are you?”At her question and slight wavering voice Alastor quickly sat down in front of her and taking hold of her face he kissed her lips, “There is no one else for me other than you Vina.”Why?The question blared in her mind but she knew she wouldn’t get a clear answer so she stayed silent instead.

Chapter 24: Arranged Mate
“You seem in a good mood Alpha,” Jax commented, staring at Alastor’s face that was smiling mindlessly at his name plate kept on his table. Who would have thought that the woman who had been swinging it around in hatred had finally been accepting that she loved him.“If you guess what it is then I’ll let you go on a paid date with your mate tonight,” Alastor said, making Jax perk up at the offer. He had wanted to meet his mate for a long time now and to be given this chance was something that he didn't want to give up.Thinking through it. He noticed that Alastor’s happiness was different than anything he had ever seen before. It was almost as if the scary ruthless alpha had been replaced by a Shakespearean fool who had nothing to worry about in this world.“It must have something to do with Luna, did she finally accept you?” Even as Jax suggested this he knew that it wasn’t the case. His Luna had been a difficult person so if she had really mellowed from inside and accepted Alastor th

Chapter 25: Ebony eyes
When Alastor reached home he immediately went to look for Vevina. There was an emergence that had taken over him. He needed to tell her about his identity and then have her accept him. The whole process needed to be hurried for her to be introduced to the pack.If he didn’t do that then he was afraid that soon enough there would be a chance that he would have to fight a big war between choosing his mate and the pack. He could only wish now that with Vevina’s already different personality she would accept his other side too.He had run from the living room to his room looking for her but she hadn’t been there and then heading to the bathroom and he found that the other two rooms had been empty as well. Panic was about to take over him when he passed the kitchen and froze in his step. There sat on the island was Vevina with a knife in her hand. He watched her stare at the silver metal, barely dressed in anything but her underwear. Raising it above her head to make it glint in the light

Chapter 26: Death by tickles
“No, you are not crazy,” Alastor said about to take a step forward towards her but seeing the expression of wonderment, confusion and wariness on her face, he sighed and stayed put, “Please brace yourself for what you are going to see next.”He said and then taking a deep breath in he closed his eyes and opened it again when Vevina saw that they were once again pitch black. She wanted to ask what was the trick that he was using to do it when she saw that Alastor’s hands that had been hanging on both his sides slowly started shaking. The nails elongated along with the fingers as hair sprouted out covering his wrist and the rest of it slowly started looking more and more like that of a beast’s arm. The same happened with his legs as his shoeless feet poked through the socks that he had been wearing and sharp claws came in the light forming further into the hind legs of an animal.Bringing her wavering gaze to his face in disbelief she saw that his face had almost been covered in fur too

Chapter 27: Mate
“Are you ready to listen now?” Alastor asked, looking at her surveying eyes taking in each and every part of his body now that she had recovered from the many attacks of Bain’s love.“Yes,” she mumbled, staring into his eyes mesmerized the most by its changing colors. The complete black of it was such a cool effect!“So you asked me what a mate means, right?” he asked, making Vevina nod. “Mate actually stands for a shortened version of soul mate. You are my soul mate Vevina.”“I would have laughed at you if not for the fact that I had just seen you turn into a werewolf and then magically still have all your clothes intact on your body,” she said touching the material of his shirt.“That’s because there are many other magical creatures other than the werewolves and the witches helped the werewolves with this spell to stop the wastage of the clothes that was happening in the modern times. Unlike how our ancestors used to roam around easily in the nude, today's world isn’t as happy with

Her mother had never bothered to take her to one even when she had pleaded with her to. She had therefore abandoned that desire completely and forgotten about such a place. She wondered if she was sad about her childhood but knowing that she was in a way disobeying her mother’s wish by being present there was giving her some clarity and with every passing moment she seemed to love her surroundings more.“Of course I do, it’s my first time here!” she cheered doing a full spin to take in everything. “I didn’t

I will win you a prize,” she said, staring at the numerous stuffed animals that were kept on the shelf behind.“It’s usually the other way around,” Alastor mumbled, already happy at the possibility of getting a gift from her.Seeing customers approaching his booth the man attending the shop came forward and asked, “Here to get your girlfriend a gift?”“Why would I need him to get me a gift? I am here to win one for him.” Vevina said the hostility was apparent in her voice and the man was taken aback by her tone, very different from the angelic appearance that she had.Vevina dressed in a pair of jeans and a low tank top looked simple and yet beautiful thanks to the genes her wretched parents had passed onto her. To a woman who looked so beautiful and yet to speak in such a ton
