LiamI closed the door and dropped the keys in the container on the cabinet at the entrance. I took off my shoes, left them next to Megan’s shoes, and then loosened the tie knot with a sigh. It was past midnight, and I had just come home from a meeting that seemed to be going on for hours.I walked to the kitchen while I rubbed my tired eyes. These last few days seemed like torture at work, Axel had taken a few days to stay home with his family, and we were full of cases on cases so we had to work hard like mules.I turned on the light, went to the fridge to get some water, and found a plate with dinner and a note. You couldn’t taste me, at least taste this <3A laugh ran out of my mouth, and I took the plate, took the paper from it, and put it in the microwave. That day was our anniversary, and Meg had prepared a romantic dinner just to be destroyed by me. I felt guilty abou

EmmaI sighed and took Aurora’s other pair of socks, folding them and putting them in the basket with all her clean clothes. I can’t believe how a little girl could get all those clothes dirty in a matter of hours, but she could, and I couldn’t keep up with her and the washing machines. That day I had to leave her alone with the leotard because I had finished all the dresses.I sighed again and turned my head towards her. Aurora slept blissfully in her seat, with her pacifier in her mouth and her fists clenched in front of her face.Aurora had been born a month ago, a month in which I had had several crises, but I was full of love for my little angel.Of course, I liked her better when she was asleep because when she woke up, all she did was scream at the top of her lungs, but having her with me every day made me the happiest person in the world. She stretched in the car seat and put herself in a funny position, so I took the camera on my feet and took pictures of her without flash. LiamI turned to my side again and sighed, now aware that I would never sleep again that night. My body was tense, I couldn’t relax, and my heart was beating furiously in my chest. The little moonlight filtering through the curtains illuminated the bedroom, allowing me to look at the figure lying next to me and sleeping blissfully. How does she sleep so blissfully? I wondered as I watched her, intoxicated with her beauty.Megan slept peacefully, her head turned towards her hands resting on her abdomen and me, her red hair scattered across her delicate face and pillow, and her breathing was heavy, accompanying the sound of my accelerated beats ringing in my ears. I sighed again and looked at her. Tomorrow would have expired the first three months, and we will have entered the second trimester. Up until that moment, everything had gone well, perhaps all too well, that Megan always remained on the d

AxelI put the phone in my pocket, and I left the elevator with a sigh then I went to the apartment door, with one hand in my pocket while the other was holding the briefcase. It was evening, and I was on my way home after a hard day in court. All I wanted at the time was to get on the couch with my babygirl and wife. I couldn’t wait to see that chubby face and fill it with kisses. I opened the door and walked in, "I’m back," I said, closing the door behind me, leaving the briefcase on the ground, taking my shoes off, and then loosening my tie."Where’s my little lady?" I asked, turning to the kitchen.I got stuck watching Emma standing at the kitchen door wearing an apron."You mean me?" she asked in a strange tone."You are my fabulous woman, but in this case, I was talking about my little angel," I said as I approached her."She’s not here," she said, and I froze to look at he

MeganI stood still, watching television as the action film went full blast. I was home, hadn’t moved in days, didn’t want to, and hadn’t even worked so hard. Since the doctor told me everything was fine with our baby, I decided to take it easy and stay home to take care of my pregnancy and baby. Liam and I would go to visitation every couple of weeks, enjoying the sight of our beautiful baby growing up. I was the end of the sixth month, and I finally decided to tell everyone. Eventually, Liam’s mother already knew, but she was super happy while my dads were screaming for joy. Lucas-dad had cried like a child and then looked in the mirror for fear that his wrinkles were coming out.Miles had just hugged me and kissed me on the head, remaining silent, but I felt how happy he was, and I wondered when he would reach that step with Alison. Things were great between them, I had never seen them so ha
